Naomi Smalls: Serpent

A serpent or a snake slithers and is known for its flexibility in movement. So I want to showcase that in posing and it’s unique structure in face. White serpents are rare as the Melanin of the skin usually is dominant. I will portray a white serpent using my body and facial expression. #SlayingSerpent

I'm portraying a bobcat. Sleeky, fit and slim. A bobcat is all that. But also FIERCE which can be seen in thia pic. The less I speak about this, the better, as the pic speaks louder than words.

For this challenge, I decided to choose Pangolim (https://www.gpabrasil.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/risco-de-extin%C3%A7%C3%A3o.jpg ).

A cute and fairly common animal in the Asian area, and being an Asian competitor, I feel I should have chosen.

Well, the Pangolin when he feels threatened takes a circular shape around his hooves to protect himself, and my picture portrays this, the security of when he feels threatened and the cuteness of the animal when it is not curled up.

♡MADISON BEER♡

The Frigatebird is a normal looking black bird at first glance. But what makes these bird's so magnificent is that the males have this bright reddish/orange pouch they puff up during mating season.  For this photo shoot I am highlighting the male Frigatebird's brilliant gular pouch!

In this photo I attempted to replicate this image. When blown up it almost covers the bird's entire body, hence why my dress is just straight up red and my hair is the only black part of this picture. Frigatebirds are also exclussivly found in tropical climates (Caribbean, Tropical South Pacific Islands, etc) so I added a tropical flower in my hair as an extra touch! Also, as you can see the pose is very seductive and the pouch on the Frigatebird puffs up when they are trying to attract a mate!

I am portraying a Bobcat. Bobcat are predators that will hunt for their pray. This photo portrays a Bobcat hunting for it's dinner

Barbie Blank:

I have chosen to portray the Hydra, which is not only the name of fresh-water organisms within the sea, but also the name of a mythical creature of the sea. I used my shot to capture usage of the water, while also delivering the mystery that surrounds the Hydra and the relationship between the water organism and the sea.

Alice Burdeu:
Today I have chosen to represent, the Frigatebird, native to the Pacific Islands and South America its contrasting colours are distinct and help it to stand out. This alongside its gular sac which is bright red and used to attract a mate by the male bird makes it one of the most unique animals on the list. I have taken inspiration from the bird through its colours and contrast to include this in my shot whilst still having a fashion influence, the red on my chest is signature to the creature itself whilst the black background adds a dynamic feature. I hope you approve.

I know I'm late to this but I have spoken with Jerard

Scorpions are predatory arachnids that have eight legs and a venomous stinger at the end of their tail used for hunting and self defense. Scorpions are often thought of as threatening, dangerous, and powerful due to their ability to sting and kill their predators using their venom so that's what I am going for in this photoshoot. This photo shows "power" and "danger" while using bold colors like red and black. The "power" in this photo also represents "predator" as if, if you were to get close to her you would be killed in an instant.

- Adriana Lima (ParvatiS) - Scorpion
Thank God there is no animal print in sight! This is a simple shot, but dramatic and I love how it connects to your animal. Very well done.

- Alice Burdeu (hazbez94) - Frigatebird #2
Since you picked an animal that has already been selected I’m taking off points. I don’t like that the image is small, but I do think this was creatively done. I also appreciate the description you provided.

- Allison Harvard (cherishthegirl101)
No photo, no comment. Thank U, Next.

- Barbie Blank (SummerRae101) - Hydra
I don’t like the text, but I do like this shot. It’s alluring and I appreciate you embracing the water for this theme. Not your best shot, but also not your worst.

- Disha Patani (acyuta) - Bobcat
The photo actually doesn’t speak much. This feels more like a shoe ad than a bobcat. If you would have added more context and your vision behind this shot it might have been better.

- Garrett Neff (Brandonh1) - Unicorn
For one, I did not expect you to pick the unicorn, but you did it justice. It’s not the pink and glittery image I had expected from whoever took this one on. This shot is a great way to show the masculine side of this mythical creature.

- Iveta Mukuchyan (SharonMaItems) - Markhor Goat
Finally! I had lost hope in you and you finally come to the competition ready to fight. I’ve never heard of this animal, so I appreciate you doing research. The photo is absolutely stunning and by far your best shot yet.

- Kang Daniel (SeongWoo) - Pangolim
Without your explanation I wouldn’t have made the connection, so thank you for that. The shot is cute and all, but I don’t feel it is your strongest.

- Madison Beer (Survivorgame1) - Frigatebird
This is a solid shot, but not the most interesting. I think you did the basics needed for this theme and for the most part it’s good.

- Naomi Smalls (Ajathekween) - Serpent
The pose is good as it goes with the serpent, but I’m not a big fan of the dress. This looks more like a Lady Gaga body double audition than really embracing the theme. Not bad, but you’ve done better.

- Paul Wesley (Tommy123) - Bobcat #2
Since you picked an animal that has already been selected I’m taking points off. I will say though that this was a stronger shot for bobcat than Disha’s, but the description is as weak as hers.

Thanks for the compliments, unfortunately cute shots are underestimated.

Iveta: while i disagree with your interpretation nobody can argue you didnt think it out enough, i do however take issue with the photo itself, lot of dull colours, complete lack of contrast and to much dead space really hamper your shot

Garrett: your interpretation feels messy, i feel like the posing is awkward and i hate the way the background is a way bigger draw then you here

Naomi: I really like this shot, your long slender body really lends itself to the serpent any while simple a lot of the details really bring it to life, youve been surprusing us all, keep it up

Disha: I cant say you did awful with the theme but nothing really feels special gere, its a very basic photo you really bring no personality to

Kang: I cant say you knocked it out of the park but a strong job with the theme, same with the photo is really strong but stuff like to much dead space really drag it down from being great

Madison: interpretation is excellent, photo itself is rather eh, awkward posing, weird framing, not enough contrast and just in general feels very sloppy, after such a good week last week this feels like a sttp back

Paul: reusing an animal is not a great start, pic is decent but boring, nothing really to say but just ok

Barbie: Im not sure i get where you are coming from with the hydra, the photos nice but it feels not very apt for the theme though i see you did think it out a bit

Alice: theres a lot to unpack, i like the photo just not for the theme, you reused someine elses animal and so it makes it very hard to score you here

Adriana: I love this, i really feels like it gets a lot of things down like the defensivness of a scorpion and the danger it exhibits but also the photo by itself is such an excellent shot, you did great here
