Hello ladies and gents, it is time to wrap up yet another week in this THRILLER of a game.
Becoming #1 in USA, the biggest music market in the entire world, is not something everyone can brag about. This week, we are honoring the ones who have!
Chic made the decision to steal 5 points from BlahBlahBlahBlah. Tough luck! Being on the top unfortunately has a tendency to make you a target.
One of my favorite songs ever, hands down. She’s an icon! Too bad she lost the plot...A great submission and a solid winner this week.
Congrats to Jenii_Valenta on winning this round! With the tight race, points will no longer be given to the week winners, but you can still choose someone to sabotage 5 points from.
Didn’t expect to see this old gem this week...A refreshing surprise. I love Blondie! This is a classic, well done.
BlahBlahBlahBlah (10 points)
Lauryn Hill - “Do Woop (That Thing)”
Unexpected, you always think outside the box and I love that. I haven’t heard this in very long, and I really liked it. It’s good and stands out from the other submissions, so bonus points for that.

Lady Gaga/Ariana Grande - “Rain On Me” (9 points)
While it’s a fairly safe choice, this is one of the best pop songs in recent years hands down. I wasn’t sure what I was gonna be served with a Gaga and Ariana collab, but I ended up being served a lovely 5-course Michelin star meal.
Adele is amazing, I loved this song a lot when it was topping all the charts. I actually like this better than Someone Like You (Unpopular opinion perhaps), and I’m happy to see it here.
Chic (7 points)
Rihanna - “Only Girl (In The World)”
I obviously love Rihanna, and this song slaps, but Rihanna has MUCH better US #1’s....Diamonds? Umbrella? WFL?
Yesss 13! While I like the Madonna version more, this is an iconic song. Some love it, some hate it - but we can’t deny the impact!

Mariah Carey - “All I Want For Christmas Is You”
I did NOT expect to see a Christmas song...But yes, of course I love this song and it’s iconic, but I don’t tolerate Christmas music outside the holiday, it reminds me of holiday STRESS and over-eating.

Miley Cyrus - “Wrecking Ball”
A good song, and I loved the Bangerz era, but I’m just kinda tired of it I guess? I liked other songs on Bangerz more (Unpopular opinion probably). The music video is better...

And that means our bottom 3 is Drewds, Kmartt and Memphis. For one of you, the adventure will be over shortly.
Ariana is a great singer, but I think it’s a bit random how this was her first US #1 (I think so at least?), when several songs from Dangerous Woman deserved the cut. It’s a cute song, but it’s not my favorite from Ariana.
Hanging on by a thread there, Mr. Boyband! I enjoy the song for the nostalgia, but other than that this one is a bit meh. I’m surprised this is their (only?) #1 in the US when they have better songs. I’d love to see a bit more of your taste, let’s try something else next time?
And with a heavy heart, that unfortunately means.....
I feel terrible letting you go so soon because you usually bring something unexpected and interesting, but I hate this song. It’s so overplayed and not even that decent imo. Good luck in the battleback king!
For the rest of you, I suggest you brace yourself for another thriller of a week.
