Based on them as a character; only based on their season.
Xavier v Cody - Kind of a wash here. I guess I'll give it to X.
Michie v Kaycee - Kaycee is as exciting as a piece of belly button lint, whereas there are definitely uncomfortable moments with Michie, he's by far the more entertaining person. I do love how melodramatic he always is.
Josh v Nicole - Although I'm a big Nicole fan when it comes to defending her gameplay, I was never that into her as a character on the show. Like I don't ever feel like we hear her real thoughts, we hear what she wants us to see her as. Josh wins.
Steve v Derrick - Derrick really was never that good of a character, any piece of why he might be would be due to him just being really good at the game and that being fun to watch. But in BB16, he was just kind of the straight man surrounded by the more wild members of his alliance. Meanwhile, Steve is just the most rootable guy ever and although we've seen his archetype before, Steve still wins this match.
Andy v Ian - I really like both of these guys, but I do think that Ian is a more fun character as the 21 year old nerd superfan, again, just hard not to root for. But Andy deserved a bigger edit and more credit for being a top 5 player of all time.
Rachel v Hayden - Rachel wipes for sure, I don't think it's close. It's fun to watch Hayden only because he's good at Big Brother, whereas Rachel's personality is one of the most over the top in BB history.
Jordan v Dan - Jordan is not that fun to watch unless you're into her and Jeff together and you love showmances, but that's not really why I watch the show. She is very likable, don't get me wrong, but compared to Dan, I don't think it's close.
Adam v Dick - I personally understand people that may take issue with me picking some of these people with unsavory behavior, but Evel Dick just makes better TV. I don't LOVE these guys like Michie/Dick for their beautiful souls, I like them as villains on a TV show. That being said, lines do get crossed that lower their stock as characters for sure, but not enough to lose to Adam.
Boogie v Maggie - Oh boy I get to pick another controversial figure. Boogie is one of the greatest BB characters in history, in every season he does his job as a character. Maggie is kind of boring as a TV character. This is NOT counting post-show hijinks.
Drew v Jun - Drew is pretty boring as well, while Jun is a fun villain.
Lisa v Will - Not super close, Lisa is likable but Will is a lot of fun on BB2.
ROUND 2
Eddie v Xavier - I guess X wins here too, I like Eddie a lot but I really do not remember any memorable Eddie moments from his season.
Michie v Josh - I will never understand how people can hate Josh, he's just so fun to watch to me. Josh advances.
Steve v Ian - This is tough. Steve almost does the nerd archetype better because he's totally a momma's boy and an absolute dweeb whereas we see Ian has a little bit of a bite to him. I think it's slightly more fun to watch Ian play, especially watching him beat people who were nasty to him.
Rachel v Dan - What a blockbuster match up so early on. I love both of these characters a lot, but if I am going on them based on the season they played, Dan's win was just more satisfying because if you aren't stupid you kind of see Rachel get blessed by the Big Brother gods so to speak. And who doesn't want to watch the GOAT play?
Dick v Boogie - Dick probably gives us more big memorable moments, and Boogie as a character is not as great without Will probably, but you could make the same argument against Dick, he's not as good of a character if we don't see his "good side" when he's with his daughter. I think Boogie's win might be a little more satisfying, because again, you kind of have to accept Dick getting pushed forward by the BB gods. It's close but I lean Boogie here.
Jun v Will - Another blockbuster match-up. I do have to go Will here, although Jun is one of my favorites.
ROUND 3
Xavier v Josh - Josh takes this one, Xavier has made it a bit too far.
Ian v Dan - I think Dan's win is more satisfying, because in BB14 you do feel a little bit like Dan "should have won".
Boogie v Will - Batman is a better character than Robin.
ROUND 4
Josh v Dan - Dan takes this one as well.
ROUND 5
Dan v Will - Not a surprising final 2, both likable personalities who play in a way that is not only impressive but fun to watch, and there aren't a lot of those types in Big Brother, at least not at this level. I do think it is more fun to watch Dan play in BB10 than Will play in BB2, so Dan wins, making him the best character to win Big Brother!
