i am wanting to blog appealing the lower levels ability to get into the stars game with higher levels. When i joined this site it was considered a privilege and something you had to work towards and level up to earn the ability to enter the game. Now all that needs to be done is pay 1t and win a weekly raffle OR get sent in on the stars seat. Newer users who see another newer user nominated in stars will just automatically save the noob because "its cool" that they get to be in stars. its not cool....its called stars for a reason. This past week i just about gave up on the game on Day 2 because i KNEW what did happen would happen. I believe i had called it out to both JustMe and also to KyleDile . My suggestion is to do away with the raffle and the stars seat and instead do this...
Run 2 stars games at the same time.
One for levels black and above and one for brown and below. Randomize could charge the same amount for both or perhaps make the lower level stars a tad bit less and also change the payouts.
Noobs only would be voting in their stars and the same for higher levels.
Everyone would be happy....noobs get their stars.....higher levels get their stars BACK and as lower levels cant bet as much perhaps might buy more ts making Randomize a bit more money....lol.
well then how would you suggest keeping noobs out of higher level stars rowan22 ....perhaps there be a way to select which stars you are sending the winner into maybe...idk lol
i thought about that too carsonl and i had to agree with what was pointed out to me. The public likes one of the aspects of stars is that its more of a public game....lol....tho having a jury vote MIGHT make it a bit more easy for me to win as i am just mass hated on this site LOL
burkett8975 why? The argument presented is pointless, look at the last 8 winners of stars, how many were not tv stars? How many were frat seat/raffle winners? How many didn't/couldn't have paid to enter?
There isn't an issue... As knixuk said, look at the stars winners list... A large majority of them are active members of high color levels... Stars has always been a popularity contest (with some social game elements), and this week the most popular player happened to be the raffle winner (and not melissasinclair...)!
but see idc that i didnt win. i have felt for a LONG time now that noobs have no place playing in stars. stars is supposed to be a game you have to level up to play and i have said that multiple times before this game groot
why keep it the same Sarah48 ? this way it takes away the "noob support" issue and you can join stars for your level group w.o having to win the raffle or get in on the frat seat.
not into all this we can't have people fighting for change everytime someone gets salty about a "noob" winning, they deserve it as much as anyone else
plus stars games already are full of the same group of people, like having a dull bowl of gristle for breakfast every morning, at least the young guns keep it relatively fresh
i would get mad if i was newer to the site but i have been here for 5 years and have not once played stars so i think i would get support from more then low levels because im along time tengager
I know you say you are not bitter about losing, but your blog comes off that way. If your main point was that stars should be something that people work to get into why add the rest? The part about noobs only supporting noobs, and how you almost gave up because you knew you were gonna lose, just seem like someone who is upset they have lost. But lets be honest.. stars is a popularity contest. Everyone knows the public decides. There have been higher levels who have won just because of who they are and not what they did in the game. But higher levels don't seem to be upset about that. Just when lower levels do it.
I also like the draft and the frats seat. The same people join over and over again. It is nice to see new faces.
and again if you want to see new faces pay attention to the noob stars queendoe . i am sorry if you feel i am coming across as bitter but i have had this idea for some time however seeing just HOW many people are annoyed with the issue...i think its time something is done. Having a lower level stars i think is a good way to make everyone happy. as for your 2 cents @_adidas perhaps you would be more content if the stars just went back to higher levels only? the way it was when i first joined the site....?
melissasinclair29 The problem of voting for people because they are popular will always be in stars. I just find it fascinating how when people vote for someone based on them being a noob, people freak out. But if a higher level wins because they are popular there isn't this uproar.

I don't see what the difference is between a noob winning that doesn't do anything or a high level winning that gets nominated 6 times and doesn't do shit, the problem here is not a noob winning it's shitty voting practices.

The two star game idea is stupid, otherwise I agree with your above post. I think the raffle and star seat is good to keep around, because otherwise it would be the same high levels joining every so often. And yes, it's called Stars, but Stars often creates stars.
1. I don't like your idea of 2 stars, I think 1 stars is perfect because it holds more weight on tengaged. 2 Stars would make each one of less importance.
2. There are pros and cons to having a raffle. A pro could be what BlueBarracuda was saying where stars can create stars. But a con could be that noob support is a thing.
3. BUT I agree w/ Knixuk...like this shit only happens every once in a while. Honestly, although it may suck from your perspective, you're just a little bitter that she won over you lol, whether she deserved it or not.
4. I think w/ the raffle seat, there is a new aspect to stars, and you guys just simply failed at it lol. You can't give the noob a bunch of publicity. You guys blogged about her like non-stop towards the end of the game. Of course noobs are gonna retaliate and push for her to win. Stars is 3/4 about the public vote and 1/4 about strategy. You guys gave Vienna way too much publicity, and that gave her the stars win.
5. I wouldn't mind seeing the raffle seat be taken away, but if that happened, I'd much rather see @Joneh start doing things w/ stars every once in a while so we don't see the same people over and over. Like all-stars, noob stars, HvV, duo stars, etc.

I said there are pros and cons. One of the pros is that it can work out well and the noob can make a name for themselves and they could play a good game. If I had to choose, I would say eliminate the raffle.
