If we're going to publicly subsidize treatment for mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia, then I don't see why pedophilia is any different, mathboy9. Or are you American and you don't have public health care?

It isn’t making it any more difficult for a pedophile to get access to mental health treatment or therapy by calling them out on tengaged.com. Unless you’re suggesting that some stigma around being a pedophile will prevent someone from getting help and in that case I can cut you off here cause I will absolutely continue to shame a pedophile.
Also that reasoning for someone becoming a pedophile is so lazy and tired, it’s the same logic people use for homosexuality. Sexual trauma does not excuse you from continuing the cycle.
The fact that the legal definition of "pedophile" describes a predator's bad behaviour rather than abnormal cognition (at least in some places) is problematic, konohavillage1. I suggest that we be more careful with the words that we use. Shaming someone for being a predator is fine, but for having a mental illness...? There are pedophiles who are not predators. Helping them is a much better alternative to just waiting for them to rape/molest someone. Do you agree?
