I believe the killer in dark days is Ryder. He has decided to fight over leadership, giving him control issues, as well as lashing out at Piper, showing anger issues. I think he is responsible for the deaths.
If he turned up innocent I would say Cameron, for he has a lot of social issues and is liked by most. The killer could be the least expected.
