So not to pour salt on the wound but another one of my cats Pesto was about 5 minutes from dying too. She was acting funny the last few days, like breathing quickly and hiding away and we thought it was grief from losing her sister (they were in the same litter)
Last night she hid away under the couch for like 4 hours and then when we pulled her out, she just started breathing fast and was hunched over in the same spot. This morning we decided to take her to the vet and it turns out there was so much fluid in her heart and lungs they couldn’t even see the X-ray. The doctor said Pesto stopped breathing and they brought her back to life and that these heart issues come suddenly without warning. If she didn’t come in early today pesto would have been dead. So we don’t know what’s gonna happen but just thought I’d keep you in the loop since I know some of you guys care about my kitties too <3
Btw the vet declared Belle had a heart issue when she died.
