Music Taste: Signature Results

Oct 24, 2020 by crazybone5000
Hello all and welcome to the first results show of "The Music Taste: 1". In the last 24 hours, our 18 contestants have submitted a song they feel represents their music taste. With the total contestants now at 18, we will be eliminating two contestants from the competition.

I must say I was VERY impressed by the submissions overall, with two songs having made my playlist on Spotify.

In terms of how the results will work, the two songs that I deemed to be the best entries will earn their contestant immunity in the following week. So whoever places 1st and 2nd in my ranking will have immunity for the next day. However! You should still try and submit a brilliant entry tomorrow as you can still earn immunity two days on the trot if your song is good enough.

Now... onto the results. The two people to come top of the ranking and therefore earn immunity for tomorrow are...

BarbraStreisand with American Money by Børns!

and...

Heavenlee with God's Country by Blake Shelton!

Congratulations you two! These songs were bold choices, which I appreciated, and two songs I had never heard of, but are now on my playlist! Thoroughly enjoyed them both, keep up the good work.

Now... onto the two people who won't be continuing. Unfortunately those two people are...

Yawnha with I Warned Myself by Charlie Puth

and...

Tester with Nancy Mulligan by Ed Sheeran

I'm really sorry guys! Yawn, I felt that this song went nowhere, it was very monotone and generic and I felt it didn't showcase Charlie's voice at all. Test, I appreciate the fact you went for a unique genre, however, I don't think this song was great. I just didn't vibe with it at all. The way he said some of the words just to make it fit the tune turned me off as well.

THE REMAINING 16 CONTESTANTS. AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT WHAT YOUR BRIEF WILL BE FOR WEEK 2. Thankyou for tuning in!
