quite a few things actually. I just played a fastings and for the first time an alliance that had pretty much completely earned my trust blindsided me. I'm not bitter, i congratulate them for doing it successfully, but it's frustrating because it clearly wasn't the best move. There are a few things many people here don't seem to understand, and they can cause good players to get evicted for all the wrong reasons.
1. Alliances are going to break at some point. Don't think i'm plotting against the alliance when i privately suggest to you who we should evict once we are THE ONLY ONES LEFT! obviously we are going to have to evict an ally at that point.
2. 3 people is not a majority! It's like every time i get an alliance of 5 together, people say it's too big. 3 votes isn't going to get you far unless you are lucky enough that nobody else is voting together. 5 votes should be enough, then you can make your alliance of 3 within that 5.
3. Winning is not random in fasting! It's probably a good idea to keep someone who hasn't won a single POV over someone who wins it practically every other time.
4. If I'm telling you that someone in our alliance is trying to betray us and we should get him/her out, I'm probably NOT secretly aligned with that person.
That's all I can think of for now...
Of course, my biggest mistake is likely not realizing these tendencies that people have and using them to my advantage. I can't expect everybody to have the same strategic mind that i have.
I hope i don't sound like a sore loser. They got me, i accept it, i applaud them for it. It's just frustrating when an alliance starts to break apart and they choose to evict me when there were clearly larger threats. I know it's just a fasting, so this might seem like a huge overreaction, but i play to win and it's just as disappointing to me to lose in a fasting as it would be in a stars or anything else that costs T$.
Also, the people who did practically all of these things in my game are the ones who are now sitting in the final three. but when they don't win, i hope the people who are going to finish second and third consider what i'm saying and improve their game, so we can all do better next time.
