For some reason, I was CONVINCED this song had been used before and was on my banned songs list. But nope, it actually hasn’t been used at all yet! Chop Suey is a goddamn RIDE from start to finish. This is a shot of pure adrenaline even through its many different parts, and every single change-up in the song is fantastic. I love the hell out of this song, it’s always a joy to return to!
So… After sending Nickelback in the main round… You send Creed in the face-off… Do I have to listen to this? Ok, I did end up listening to it. I mean, I guess this is one of their “better” songs? Scott Stapp’s voice is so grating. It’s like listening to a caveman sing. It’s a shame because the rest of the band are actually really talented (that’s why they formed an entirely different band without Scott: Alter Bridge) but Creed are just… No.
