My Top 100 ESC Entries- Semi 1 (92-89)

Nov 23, 2020 by SeaViper
Welcome to my working out of my 100 favorite entries from Eurovision in the last ten years. I have split the decade into three sections (2010-2012, 2013-2016, 2017-2020) each split into three Semis. I have started with 2017-2020. I then picked the top 25 from each year, making the top 100 for this semi. Then, I chose the top 33 to advance to the final. But, before I reveal who the final 100 are, I thought it'd be (Not very) fun to show the Songs that placed 34th and beyond, so good luck

#92: Tamara Gachechiladze "Keep The Faith"
Country: Georgia
Year: 2017
Placement: NQ

This song isn't horrible, but it didn't really deserve to be in the top 90. It has a good message, and her vocals are amazing, but the staging could have been a lot better

#91: IMRI "Alive"
Country: Israel
Year: 2017
Place: 24th

This song would be good if his vocals were a bit better. If they improved, he'd be a little higher. He is nice to look at though <3 I also like the ethnic sounds at the end

#90: Eliot "Wake Up"
Country: Belgium
Year: 2019
Place: NQ

I was in a conversation about this song recently which inspired me to listen again. The re-listen pushed it from 98th to 90th. This song again isn't horrible, it's just not great and his vocals really could have been better. Also, don't get the staging

#89: Samanta Tina "Still Breathing"
Country: Latvia
Year: 2020
Place: Contest Cancelled

This song is structured like no other ESC song I've ever seen, and I love that! It's unique! Samanta is a really rootable person, and has been trying for years to get to ESC only for it to be cancelled :/ This song isn't really my genre, but I like it's different, and it's getting better each time I listen!

Next episode will easily be the most controversial next, enjoy it :)
