My Top 5 Best/Worst Scripts

Oct 31, 2020 by SeaViper
It's been a dream of mine to run a TV show...and you bet I've fucking tried, and been rejected about 3 times ;( I actually got as far as doing to presentation in front of some big cheeses for one, but EPISODE 5 FLOPPED GOD DAMN YOU EPISODE 5 I WILL ALWAYS HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! And episode 6 also sucked really badly too, so here are the 5 best and 5 worst scripts/shows I've written. The best isn't exactly great, but it was fun to write about because I'm so narcissistic

5TH BEST:

Endless- This was a show about jumping to various other dimensions and was the one that I managed to get in front of the Big Cheeses, but it ultimately flopped due to it being too similar to various other shows, the high budget for a complete nobody, and Episode 5...killer clowns eating intestines isn't for everyone...but like...give me a chance to change it or something...and episode 6 was just plain old cliche crap...the rest was ok...I guess...

5TH WORST:

The Mushroom Kingdom- Yes, I actually wrote a Mario spin-off show, and no, I didn't even try to send it to anyone. It's quite clear that it's complete shit because there's nothing original here, and you'd probably get more enjoyment from...actually playing Mario

4TH BEST:

11- This was more of a short one-off kind of thing, which I wrote over one Christmas when I was staying with my dad in Vanuatu. In the basic rundown, it's about a group of cannibalistic spirits that return from the dead each Christmas...which sounds so much better on paper, but it was fun to write, and it contained human meat

4TH WORST:

The Vampire Show- When I was about 11, I consumed far too many teen vampire shows, which ended me with...this. It's a show about a group of vampire hunters with unique powers...huh, how original! Oh, and it ended with the world ending, which I now understand isn't everyone's definition of "Conclusive ending"

3RD BEST:

The White Room- This is something that...exists. It's about the psychological tortures of a man living in a white box for all his life, not being able to remember how he got there, or who his family is. It was trying to be creepy, and some parts succeeded, but when you have a total of 3 characters in the whole thing, it soon becomes dull and boring

3RD WORSE:

Luna Moon- Before The Vampire Show, it was Luna Moon (The most originally named character ever). It follows Luna and her sisters fighting monsters, which appear from nowhere without explanation. Her mum's also a werewolf, the FBI chases them half the time, and there's an episode about killer bowling pins. Enough said

2ND BEST:

Twisted- This one never had a proper name, but it was set at the largest singing competition on Earth (Again, how original) and terrorists attack during the rehearsals, trapping everyone inside, and people die each episode. It's ok on paper, but the fact that...Idk...the police aren't called to save anyone, and THEY CONTINUE REHEARSALS DESPITE BEING TRAPPED IN A THEATER BY TERRORISTS makes so sense at all. The reason it's so high on Best is that I honestly like the characters. It could probably make it as some crappy B-series

2ND WORST:

Land of Books- Another childhood favorite! This one was about books coming to life and replacing real people for a day...how creative and original!!!

1ST BEST:

Hide Hotel- While the name is clunky, it was the only idea salvaged from the Vampire Show that actually worked in a real scenario. This show has a grand total of 5 characters, but unlike The White Room, it could actually be scary. These four random people seem to be trapped in an inverted hotel, with a twisted killer on the loose inside. It may sound quite a cliche, but I feel like it could be scary if it was ever on screen, though I never connect with the characters, and they are just kind of bags of meat there to be killed off one by one

1ST WORST:

Friends/Friends Meet Scooby-Doo- No, friends are not based on the TV show, I had no idea that even existed when I came up with this title. It started as a playground game, but when I turned 8 I decided I wanted it to be serious and started writing scripts for us all to act out...they were so very exciting. It started as a Time Travel show, where me and my friends traveled back in time to various places (The Dinosaurs mostly...) However, there were only so many times we could run away from dinosaurs back into our time machine, so the show soon evolved into a really bad spin-off of Scooby-Doo, where we forced random people to be monsters (Thinking about it...we were kind of mean). The final evolution of the Show was once again called "Friends", and this centered around us defeating real monsters, including the ever so original list of (In episode order):

1: A shark with two heads
2: Zombies
6: A cow with :O Red eyes!!!
9: A big bat
11: A book that crushes people (This is the big book in Dumbest things I made as a kid)
13: Poisonous perfume sprayer
15: A living car
18: A solid gold knight
24: A big spider
31: A big head that stole people's voices
35: A dinosaur doctor
36: The were-raptor

And many others I shouldn't mention. The first version had 1 season...29 episodes, the second 12 seasons, 148 episodes, the third one...six seasons, 36 episodes (I learned how to divide correctly)

------------------

Honorable Mention: The Scary Show- A more adult version of Friends I made two years later, now with added swearing! Because we were 10 and learned that was a thing. This started so many arguments between my friend group, including if we should allow the lizard monster from episode 3 to appear again in episode 11 and 17, and who would write the final episode (Big battles over that). There were 6 of us, and 26 episodes, but only 4 of us wanted to write them, so we got about 8 episodes each, eith two getting 9, but we all wanted to fight for 9, so it was a story. I don't remember many episodes, but I do remember an episode where we got transported to the Arctic and were cold (Episode 5) and one with a cat posing as Santa (Episode 11)

Honorable Menton: The Mutant Pufferfish- Enough said in the title :)

Hope you enjoyed these dumb things I managed to write!
