Top 10 Songs of 2019 - #5 Dec 28, 2019
Moving on from an emotional entry to what I think is one of the coolest fucking songs of the year. Sorry Harry, but your song wasn't the best former one direction member single of the year for me. Coming in at Number #5...

Nice To Meet Ya by Niall Horan

First time I heard this, I was like...yeah, okay what evs. Niall Horan had my second favourite album of the year in 2017, behind Ed Sheeran's divide, so I had high hopes for his comeback this year. It was just something completely different and it kinda took me off guard. The more times I listened to it though, man I can't count the amount of times I've kicked open the door of my bedroom walking out with a leather jacket ready to head out and get plastered listening to this song. It makes me feel so...FUCKING COOL MAN! Niall does alot here, he makes it sound badass but also cute at the same time, whilst keeping the rock and pop vibes consistent. His newest single Put A Little Love On Me is also amazing, so I just can't wait at all for this guy to come out with even more music. He's just that good, and NTMY proves it.

Top 10 Songs of 2019 - #6 Dec 27, 2019
Alrighty, so I missed a couple days posting this. My bad, I've been HELLA busy as of late, with Christmas and everything. But we back, and Imma do some double duty for the next couple of days. So today and tomorrow y'all are gonna get two entries instead of one to even it up. Alrighty, back to it. This song connected with me for a more emotional reason, as it was designed as a tribute to one of my favourite artists ever. Coming in at #6....

Heaven by Avicii

FUCKKK MAN WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU GONE?

Avicii was my favourite EDM artist by a mile and a fucking half in my younger and early teenage years (that spot soon went to Martin Garrix), and it seemed as though he could never release a song that I didn't love. Not only that but he created music to which everyone could relate to. So you could imagine how I felt when he passed away. This song is a rollercoaster for a number of reasons. One, obviously it's a tribute to Tim. But the mixing and vocals provided by Coldplay lead Chris Martin make this even better. It's something you can easily party to, relax to and have a cry to as well. Overall though it's just a song that perfectly represented Avicii's legacy, and how he'll be remembered fondly by everyone who knew him.

Top 10 Songs of 2019 - #7 Dec 23, 2019
So are we gonna stray away from the pop genre at anytime? Look, probably not. There are a couple of songs that aren't in the sole category of pop, but it's basically what I listen to the majority of the time. No regrets at all though hehehe x but anyway, here's someone who released an album maybe two weeks ago, and it's already one of the albums of the year. Coming in at #7....

Adore You by Harry Styles

I don't exactly have much to say about this. It's just a really nice upbeat and simple song that makes me happy :) Harry Styles music has always hit the mark for me. Whilst I think 'Lights Up' and 'Watermelon Sugar' could've done a tiny bit more (still bangers), this to me was almost perfection. Great emotion, sound, uniqueness, everything I love about pop. Stream The Line, it's dope as hell <3

Top 10 Songs of 2019 - #8 Dec 22, 2019
I seem to be having a good run with these blogs :) Now it's time for a little controversial opinion. If you asked the general public who the hottest rising artist for this year was, I can bet you TONS of people would say Lizzo. But besides Good as Hell, her music didn't really connect with me. However, someone came outta nowhere this year and basically blew me away with all her discography. So, coming in at #8.....

Freaking Me Out by Ava Max

Man I love Ava. SO. MUCH. Sweet but Psycho, So Am I, Torn, just honestly all her singles are dope. But this topped it. It has such a mysterious and spooky vibe to it which perfectly fits the meaning of the song, which is about falling in love with someone so much that it scares you, and that you can't handle how much it's rising at all. It's unknown territory. People have been calling her the new Lady Gaga, yeah nah not me. She's the first damn Ava Max. Her voice is so distinguished especially in this song, as she goes from being more silent to being more vocal and audibly frightened, and plus her harmonies in the chorus gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it. Heck, this whole song gave me goosebumps man! So Ava, glad you could make it, hope to see more of your work <3

Hold My Girl by George Ezra

Now let's be clear about a technicality. This song was released officially in 2018, however it was released and played on radio in Australia during the month of January this year, so with that being said I'm ABSOLUTELY including it! George Ezra is one of the best male artists out there, it's just pure song writing gold that comes out of him. Here, he sings about getting caught up in the fame and his schedule, and that he just wants a couple of minutes to spend some time with the person he loves. It's just a beautifully written and emotionally driven song that really plucked at my heartstrings. We've all been at the stage where we're all so busy we never get to spend time with the ones we love, so this definitely related to me as I was starting uni and getting into work. And before anyone asks, I definitely don't think this is the last of the acoustic songs you'll see here xx

Change Your Mind - Tori Kelly

I was a little disappointed with her last year. Instead of doing a full album she instead did a Gospel Styled album. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but it just wasn't my style or type of music I wanted to listen to. However, her voice has just never been below incredible. So then she came with this, a acoustic slow jam about her trying to tell her father that she's found the right person. It focuses solely on her vocals AS IT SHOULD, and boy oh boy she does not disappoint. Go stream her new album Inspired by True Events as well, it's dope as hell :)
