as a substitute teacher! It's a 5-hour shift ($36 an hour since my rate is $180 for a full day (4+ hours). It will be a music class in which I have zero knowledge, but will be an INTERESTING experience for sure! Also, I decided to go back to school to get a single-subject credential because might as well be a high school teacher and get experience before becoming a full-time professor :)
also what is your degree in? in my experience it is nearly impossible to be a professor, full time or part time, community college or uni without AT LEAST a masters but usually doctorate preferred. its nuts.
brookie_cookie I got my masters in sociology with an emphasis on education. I only have 2 years of TA experience with zero teaching experience. I’m going back for my credentials only since I have a MS degree already. I’m qualify for being a professor at a community college, but enrollment dropped so colleges let go of a lot of adjunct so new adjuncts don’t have a great chance.
