Growing Up As A Millenial.

Feb 24, 2022 by PrincessTeePee
Aged newly 11: 9/11. Everything I saw and heard will live with me forever, I remember being so confused and sickened that people could do something so catastrophically evil.

Aged 12: UK at war with Iraq. Again, more confusion. Looking back, a huge error on the part of our then-Prime Minister.

Outbreaks to note and the fear that came with them: CJD, SARS, Bird Flu, Swine Flu.

Aged 14: Terror attack on the London Underground, unprovoked.

Aged 17/18 the CREDIT CRISIS. Just as I was starting university, a world of financial uncertainty loomed.

Aged 22, Drummer Lee Rigby murdered in broad daylight in London. WTF! Plus, the terrible ongoing situation in Syria.

Aged 23/24 the Ebola crisis and ISIS.

Aged 29 Covid-19 rocks the world and continues to.

Aged 30, horrible stories of women and children being attacked and murdered whilst out innocently.

Aged 31, war in Ukraine, thinking today of all the innocent adults, children and animals there. 😪

Add in a Tory UK government and an almost impossible property ladder thanks to generations before ours.. Also add, shocking distress to the environment. We can all do our part to make a difference, less contribution to fast fashion, eating more mindfully, RECYCLING.

Are we just supposed to accept that these horrible situations are to continue happening? I am dreading middle age and later life 😔
