Sean Kenniff!
Sean was hilarious just based on the fact that he was so... stupid. And the ironic thing is that his profession was a doctor.
I'll just let Sue explain it for you. Sue?
"The reason that Sean isn't in the alliance is that....... Sean........................ is dumb."
Yup, it's that simple. Sean being so utterly terrible at the game of Survivor is what puts him this high up on my list. The alphabet strategy, the Superpole 2000, realizing that an alliance existed about 9 entire days later than everyone else did. It was all totally lulzy.
Ik this is ending kind of abruptly but that's basically the gist of it. Thats why Sean is number 7 on the list :P.

Rudy Boesch!
I know, I know, "rah, rah, sacrilege!" But if you'll allow me to explain...
Rudy really was a hilarious character and it really was wonderful that he was on the season. Rudy was funny in that in every episode or so he'd shuffle in and make some surly remark and then go back to being in the background again (< 3).
Some of my favorite Rudy quips are...
"He's fat, but he's good."
"The only reason I bring the bible is if.. I mean I'm religious too if I need a toilet paper."
"I don't even know what MTV means"
"Ten more days, and it will be already over, I'll probably never see these people again... it's the way I want it."
And, of course...
"I dunno."
His relationship with Rich, of course, was also AMAZING. The fact that Rudy went into Borneo specifically hunting for gay people, and ended up being best friends with the only openly gay guy on the season, was just great.
The only problem with Rudy is that he was overall a pretty UTR background presence. Like Gretchen, I was sort of surprised at Rudy's lower amount of screen time. Also, Rudy did say some pretty indecent bigoted things, and I know that it's the generation gap and all, and Rudy grew up when people had attitudes like that... but regardless of that, some of the bigoted comments he made still tested my patience. And in the end, with a cast as amazing as Borneo's, those two weak points are enough to put Rudy far lower on the list. However, that doesn't mean I didn't like him; he really is a Survivor legend and I'm glad that he played on the season.

Gervase Peterson!
Gervase was pretty cool to be honest. I have seen a couple people rank him #16 on their lists and honestly I just don't get it. The worst thing I saw him do was the whole elephant joke, which was just a stupid thing to say, but he apologized for it and seemed to realize that he had offended people, so I can forgive him for that. He seemed like a good guy, and spent most of the season cracking jokes and just hanging around as a background character. I also liked his self-contained little storyline of, "he's lazy but he'll work his butt off to support his family". So sweet < 3. But like MANY of the people before him on the list, once again, Gervase wasn't necessarily a huge part of the storyline of Borneo, and that's why I'm only ranking him at #9.

Gretchen Cordy!
Now, before you say ANYTHING, I fully acknowledge that Gretchen (or rather Gretchen's vote-off) is a MAJOR part of Survivor history and that her boot at the merge was, like, one of the defining moments of Borneo and the series as a whole. I think that Gretchen's boot ("The Death of Innocence", as I like to call it) is probably the most impactful vote in the history of Survivor (other than maybe John Carroll's elimination in Marquesas).
However, Gretchen herself felt surprisingly UTR for me. She didn't quite have as much impact on me on a re-watch as I thought. That's not to say that she wasn't fun to watch, I DID like Gretchen a lot, and like I said, her vote was the biggest vote in Survivor history. But I thought Gretchen as a character left a lot less of an impression on me this time around.

Ramona Grey!
When I re-watched Borneo, I was shocked by how much more there was to Ramona than I remembered. She was EASILY the most outstanding pre-merger to me. She was a charismatic narrator and her final episode where she tried to pitch in and gave her last ditch effort to stay in, only for it to be, in the words of Jenna Lewis, "a little too little too late", was actually really sad, and I feel like had Ramona NOT gotten sick she could've made it really far into the game and become a Survivor legend herself. Unfortunately, though, she became an early boot, and overall just didn't have a very big impact on the season, so I can't put her in the top 10 for the season.

SOUNA CHRISTOPHER.
erm, sorry, Sonja*
Sonja was an amazing ray of sunshine on the season and I just loved watching her < 3. It also says a lot that even after having seen Borneo, like, 3 times now I was still HEARTBROKEN when she was voted off. Like, that was SOOOO SAD.
Unfortunately though Queen Souna just didn't have big enough of an impact on the season for me to put her any higher ;-;. She's still amazing though.
