Let’s see what our tributes have been up to ever since the games began.
-The Hunters Become the Hunted-
Isla and Chris wake up to a brightish red sky, still feeling the heat of the lava beneath them.
They were able to lose the career girls yesterday... but they know that they aren’t too far behind them.
They are both having a quiet chat with each other.
Isla: Hey... can I ask you something?
Chris: What?
Isla: Why did you save me yesterday? You could have just let me die... but you didn’t. Why?
Chris looks nervous.
Chris: Well... based off of what I learned about you... I-I didn’t wanna watch you get killed! You seem like someone I would... get along with!
Isla stares at Chris.
Chris: Oh! I didn’t mean it like that! I meant—
Chris suddenly stops when he sees that Isla is laughing.
Isla: No! I... haha, I get it! Can I ask why you thought we’d get along?
Chris: Uh... well... I spend my time staring at a screen too! And—
Isla suddenly looks behind her when she hears footsteps. She makes out the faint voices of two girls.
Isla: Stop.
Chris: W-what?
Isla: They’re coming. Hide behind one of the trees!
There are several trees in the area that strangely don’t have leaves. Isla and Chris both pick a tree to hide behind as the female voices grow louder.
They both take a peak and see Leah and Simantha. They both seem to be having a conversation.
Leah: Didn’t you hear voices?
Simantha: Yeah! They should be here! I don’t understand why we haven’t found them yet!
Leah: You’re hearing must be horrible.
Simantha: Mine? What about yours?
Leah: Me? I’m literally perfect, what are you talking about?!
Simantha: You heard them too! But somehow it’s MY fault that they’re not here?
Leah: Yes it is? Why would it be my fault? My hearing is perfect!
Simantha: Oh my god, you are such a spoiled brat! The world doesn’t revolve around you, you useless sack of shit! You’re such a stupid bitch! You’re honestly such a snobby little—
Suddenly, a spear shoots right through Simantha’s stomach.
Leah steps back in shock... and turns around to begin running. However, right behind her is Jay holding a sword. Jay quickly swings it down into her skull.
BOOM!
Jay then walks over to Simantha, and following him are Elijah, Bruce and Rommel.
Simantha, at her knees looks at all of the boy tributes around her, still feeling sharp pain in her stomach.
Suddenly, she feels the pain grow sharper when she feels the spear being pull out of the back of her stomach.
Mace, holding the bloody spear, walks in front of her.
She looks up at him, and Mace stares down. Mace suddenly turns his attention at something behind Simantha.
Mace: Finish the job.
Simantha looks confused at the statement.
Suddenly, a machete flies down into her skull.
BOOM!
Mace: Good job, Tyler.
Tyler pulls his machete out of Simantha’s head.
Chris and Isla had secretly been watching the entire ambush from behind their trees. They also hear in plain earshot the conversation that follows.
Rommel: So... all career girls are gone now. Now what?
Mace: Well, we look for the other girls and take them out.
Tyler: Why does it have to be the girls again? Why can’t it be boys too?
Mace: Name one other boy in this arena that looks like a threat and isn’t in this alliance.
Everyone is silent.
Mace: Exactly. We need to take out the girls. They usually team up in these games, and when they team up, one of them ends up winning. We need to take them all out before they kill all of us.
Everyone is still silent.
Mace: Let’s continue looking. With the careers girls gone, it should be a little easier for us.
Isla and Chris wait for the boys alliance to leave.
When they are sure they’re gone, they both step out of hiding to talk to each other.
Chris: Did you hear that?
Isla: Yeah! They’re targeting the girls... that means they’re targeting—
Chris: Listen, I’m not gonna let them kill you! As long as I’m here, they’re not gonna lay a finger on you! Not on my watch...

-A Follower-
Fern has been on her own for the entire day. She hasn’t run into anyone, and she has made a nice camp for herself out of plain site.
Fern sees that the sun is setting, and is getting ready to set things up for the night at her camp.
Then... she hears something coming from a dead tree in the distance.
Slowly... she walks over to it.
When she is a few feet away... she suddenly runs behind it and grabs the person she knew was hiding behind it, and pulls out a knife.
She looks at the person face... and makes out the face of a scared little boy.
It’s her district partner, Omen.
Fern: Were you following me?
Omen is quick to speak, clearly looking as if he’s scared for his life.
Omen: Y-yes! But I wasn’t gonna do anything, I swear! I would never try to kill anyone, it goes against God’s plan—
Fern: What WERE you doing then?
Omen: I-I don’t know! I just didn’t know what else to do and it looked like you knew what you were doing! I didn’t want to die so I f-followed you! I’m sorrry!
Fern looks at him for a moment.
Eventually, she decided to let him go.
Omen: You can’t follow me forever, kid.
Fern then walks back to her camp.
Omen: Wait... you can’t just leave me! I don’t know how to survive!
Fern: Not my problem. I’m gonna give you thirty seconds to run away. If you aren’t gone, I WILL kill you. One...
Omen: Wait! I just need—
Fern: TWO.
Omen: I-I...
Fern: THREE.
Omen then begins running away.
However... he suddenly stops when he realizes the ground below him is shaking.
Fern: Shit...
Fern and Omen know what’s happening right now.
Omen runs toward Fern. Fern doesn’t really pay attention to Omen... but they both run away from the giant crack in the ground that’s slowly forming.
The two of them are able to escape the giant earthquake that is forming.
-The Control Room-
Timona has been wandering on her own the entire day. She hasn’t run into anyone... but has been walking toward the volcano, for some odd reason.
Timona is actually very close to the volcano when she notices something strange.
Surrounded by rock... there is a door.
It’s strange as to why a door would be here... but Timona decides to open it anyway.
Timona opens it to see a long dimly lit tunnel. She decides to follow it.
She walks for quite a few minutes... until she eventually find a door on the other side. When she opens it, she finds something rather strange.
She is now inside what appears to be a control room. It’s a wide square room with a panel at the end... along with a giant square window.
She looks out of it to see a giant pool of lava below, surrounded by rock in a spherical pattern. Timona then realizes... she must be inside the volcano.
Timona looks at the control panel and sees a bunch of buttons. She can see that at the end of the panel, there are several buttons made up in a circle, with one of them red while all the others are green.
She decides to press the red button.
...

...
...
Nothing happens.
She then presses one of the green buttons.
...
...
...
...
...
The buttons suddenly turns red. Timona presses it again, but nothing happens.
Timona notices in the middle of the panel is a big button with the words “Do Not Press” on it. Obviously, she feels the sudden urge to press it.
However... before she does, someone hits her on the head.
Timona suddenly falls to the ground from the blunt force, and tries to carry herself up.
Timona then makes out the face of her attacker.
It’s Geisa, the girl she ran away from during the bloodbath. she must’ve discovered this place long before Timona did.
Geisa tries to kick Timona, but Timona gets out of the way in time.
Timona gets up, and charged at Geisa, trying to ram her into the wall.
However, she didn’t realize that she was ramming her against the window.
Timona runs into Geisa and the two girls hit the window hard, causing it to break.
They both fall over the control panel and into the lava.
BOOM!
BOOM!
The control room is now empty, and no one is there to press the buttons.
Suddenly, Hunger Games announcers talk to the viewers at home.
TV Announcer: Wasn’t that wild! Timona took Geisa and herself out of the games! Let’s keep in mind that she also pressed that button, so we should be expecting an earthquake somewhere in the arena right now... oh! I’m getting word that there’s an earthquake near the District 11 kid’s camp!

10 tributes remain. Soon enough, only one of them will still be alive.
This control panel is the reason these earthquakes keep happening... who will be the next to discover it?
And with only 2 girls left in the games, will they be able to avoid getting killed by the boys alliance before it’s too late?
