My grandfather was a WW2 veteran.

On the day of his death, my father handed me his diary. He told me to read it, as he wanted his grandchildren to know of his experiences in the armed forces. I opened it up, and read a few pages. A set of particular pages in his diary surprised me. On the day that he wrote them, he underestimated the german sharpshooters on the other end of the battlefield. My grandfather was stuck inside a townhouse with the rest of his platoon, and he was radioed by his superiors, who told him not to look out any windows. He wanted to get a quick glance of his surroundings, so he took a peek out the window. He was shot in the left arm. I turned to the next page of his diary, and found two pink bowties packed neatly inside. I keep reading. After getting hit by a sharpshooter, he told his fellow soldiers next to him, "I guess they never miss, huh?" Although he was injured, he somehow snuck around the enemy lines and found a lonely soldier out in the fields, the german that shot him. I turn to the next page, and see a black and white picture of him wearing headphones while in a sports bra and mini skirt. He taps the german on the shoulder, and tells him, "You got a boyfriend? I bet he doesn't kiss ya!" He knocks him out with a fist to the head, saying "He gon' find another girl and he won't miss ya!" I turn to the next page, seeing him doing a familiar pose with the german's head in his hand. He grabs his knife, decapitates the enemy with his combat knife, and shouts, "He gon' skrt and hit the dab like Wiz Khalifa!" Every german soldier in a 2 mile radius heard this ferocious war cry, and they all retreated out of fear. I turn to the next page to see an image of my grandfather back in america, wearing the bowties, sports bra, mini skirt, headphones, and a medal of honor.
