Last year I ranked every movie I saw in theaters and this year I'm doing it again!
**IMPORTANT REMINDER: In order for a movie to qualify for this countdown I need to have seen it in theaters (not Netflix, Redbox, etc) between 1/1/18 and 12/31/18. This means that even tho a movie may have been released in 2017, as long as I saw it in theaters in 2018 it'll qualify**

Black Panther
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 97%
I KNOW this will be an unpopular placement but allow me to explain myself. This movie was visually stunning (minus the final fight scene that looked like CGI threw up) and was great. However, I first saw it 2 days after it was in theaters when the hype was astronomical and it had a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes so I was expecting this flawless masterpiece. It was not. I left the theater disappointed but when I watched the film a second time without the hype it was very solid. I respect and appreciate the cultural importance of this film. However, this top 10 is so close that I had to nitpick. Killmonger had too many cheese lines like "hey auntieeeee" and "this ya king?" But other then that he was an ok villain.
Lastly, that "WHAT'RE THOOOOSE" scene was a mistake. A big mistake.
Have you seen Black Panther?
