The only way I would is if someone close to me got picked and I felt that I had a better shot than they did. This is like basically saying I'd take a bullet for you. So honestly, people saying they wouldn't, actually would. Unless they hate everyone they know which is very hard to believe.

I would actually have a kick out of being in the hunger games. I know i'm saying this just because it's not real, but even if it was. I'd be terrified completely, but i'm, not to boast, but extremely athletic and fit and I actually think i'd stand a chance in becoming avictor. However I don't know much about tracking, and feeding myself in the environment i'm placed in, but if i lived in the world of Panem i'm sure I would. So yea, I would deifnately volunteer for someone that is hopeless in the games, or even more if it was a loved one.

My reason for volunteering would be to get away from life. If the world was like the books, unless you are in district 1 2 or 4, life sucks and you'd be better off dead.
