Cannibal EP Ranking

6thAug 30, 2021 by Jaxon
imageWelcome my animals to round 2 of our journey. I think Cannibal was the perfect EP to follow Animal, and honestly there was not a single miss throughout all nine iconic songs. This is probably my most played collection of songs by Kesha because its the one I kept in my parents car and made them put on whenever I was in it for an extended period of time. She is that bitch.

9th: C U Next Tuesday
Honestly, I love this song. It wasn't my favorite when the EP came out... but it has really grown on me over time. I think she is simple and a nice addition to the EP, but in comparison to everything else, I think she kind of gets lost in the mix. I really can't think about a single reason why this song could be bad... but for some reason, Cannibal is easier to give a ranking for than Animal, despite me loving every song. Sorry to the CUNT truthers, but I love her too dw.

8th: Blow
I know, I know. She is a beloved single, but honestly... the non-singles really outperform the singles in every which way on this EP... which speaks VOLUMES as to how well Cannibal is. I think one of my proudest moments was as a kid I sang along to her giggle and then 'dance' and my sisters friend thought I sounded exactly like Kesha. Blow is iconic.  I adore her, I love the glitter guns that go off when she performs it at a concert, I love the impact she had. I just love other songs more.

7th: We R Who We R
Back to back robbed ladies, don't hate me! Once again, there is nothing bad about this song. She was the moment when she was released. I still know every word and never hit skip. I would honestly say I relate this song heavily to Blow, but I think the message of this song is a better one and is just as catchy and iconic. She is a more than solid entry that does not disappoint.

6th: Grow A Pear
This is where the album gets extremely tricky to rank. I myself, can not believe the Grow A Pear is ranked 6/9. If I did this when she was released, this song would be an easy top three at least choice. It has SO many iconic lines. 'And no I don't want to see your mangina' is still the moment for me and I adore the song. I really don't know what else to say to justify this other than I like others more, and it hurts... it really does.

5th: Animal (Billboard Remix)
I already touched on this song a bit, but let me tell you... the original Animal is good. This remix, she perfected the song. Something about the changed up beat just adds so much more value to this song to me. I'm honestly glad she was added to the regular EP, and not just a remix on the extended version. She earned her spot and she deserved her spot. If you disagree, go listen to both versions back to back and get back to me. Thanks!

4th: Cannibal
Honestly, she is kind of being robbed from the top 3. I get that. I really do. And I have extremely mixed feelings about her popping off on Tik Tok, because when a now 9 year old me stanned this song... the same bitches who love it now, are the ones who thought I was weird for realizing the true iconicness this song had. It hurts, she deserves the credit, but I stanned her first you fucking CASUALS out there. Anyways, everything about this song is perfection. The lyrics, the way she absolutely slays the chorus, the beat, the fact she has her backup dancers on leashes in gimp suits when she performs this. She is the title track and she deserved her place there.

3rd: Crazy Beautiful Life
I think this might have been my favorite song when it came out. I thought I was the baddest bitch out there because when my mom would shop and leave me in the car, I'd hit every word in the second verse and for some reason I just really related to it despite having nothing happen in my life to relate to. We love her for everything she stands for, and I honestly feel like this song is a bit underrated compared to others in the EP. She is a catchy, timeless bop and will forever hold a place in my heart.

2nd: The Harold Song
I know this is going to upset a LOT of people. This song and my #1 are tied SO CLOSE. This song is absolutely beautiful and stunning, and honestly, I really don't know how anybody could dislike this song. The stripped back take compared to her typical entry during this era... it was stunning, fresh, and I don't think she could have written and sang a better song about a breakup. If anybody doubted Keshas talent up to this point, I think this song right here would absolutely prove she knows what she is doing and is capable of being an all time great.

1st: Sleazy
She that bitch. Been that bitch, still that bitch. Will forever be THAT bitch. I think Sleazy is one of Keshas most iconic songs of all time. I will never not be in the mood to listen to this song, and sing along to every damn word said. The chorus is good, but the verses? The verses are literally so fucking good and can put me in a good mood no matter what the hell is going on in my life. The fact that when she performs it too she says 'the beat so fat gonna make me cum... all over your face' like MOM why didn't you do this in the studio version.... I would literally give anything to see her perform this song live. It IS a close battle between Sleazy & The Harold Song... but Sleazy just wins for me. She really does.

I love Cannibal. That's all. See you for Warrior next time.

2nd: The Harold Song
I know this is going to upset a LOT of people.

Lol whoever is upset by this has no taste. I don’t even like Kesha that much but this is a good song. I think it’s definitely one of her best

The Harold Song being anything but first is a crime...but I do get the Sleazy appreciation. whats your opinion on the Sleazy remix??

also I love Grow a Pear! (despite the problematic lyrics) and at least you're self-aware on your disrespect for Blow, it's one of my fav singles by her!

Ur weird

Honestly I think Jaxon that the Animal Billboard Remix is so encapsulating of the whole 2000's vibe that I think the legacy of that song (though its not as popular) deserves at least a #3 ranking. It literally is influentual on like Avicii "Levels" uh... levels. Thoughts? Bump Crazy Beautiful down to 4 and move Animal to 3 ?

Sleazy is literally my favorite Kesha song ever!

xcharliex is she backwards tho hun...

tbrown_47 I meant upset bc she was #2 and not #1. I don't think there is a song as universally loved as The Harold Song LOL

SomebodyAwesome The one with all the features? I would hit skip if she ever came on. Kesha really came for and stole Nickis title as the best rapper with Sleazy LOL. And like, every song on this EP is good. There is no disrespect for any song because I honestly love them all!

Peace123 You can get a tag starting during warrior or rainbow??

@Whuarethose To me my list feels right for my personal taste. I think the Animal remix is S tier music... but I feel like everything else above it is too. Crazy Beautiful Life definitely holds a special place in my heart and has an impact that Animal didn't quite have with me as a kid.

RedFabFoxy I love when our taste aligns icon

Survivor_Fanpage123 its hard when competition is fierce *sobs*

ManniBoi I don't know if its my all time favorite... but she is the icon of this album and will honestly be timeless.
