Welcome to Round 2!
-
For this round, we'll leave behind the The Lemons Life Gave You. The theme for this round will be Heartwarming/Heartbreaking.
-
As usual, we expect 2 immunity winners - one winner chosen for each category of submission (although it is possible that both of your submissions may influence an immunity decision, if there is a tie for example). So yes, once again you will be submitting 2 songs! Expect this to continue ;)

Let me elaborate on the theme.
Heartwarming <3
We expanded on this word a little bit, initially it was going to be a romance/heartbreak duality situation, but we did not want to limit y'all into a corner of needing to do a song based on romantic love. This submission is meant to be love focused but can be romantic or platonic - the point is that you feel it in your heart.
It will be I, a stone cold bitch, judging the heartwarming selections!! My example submission is Would You Go with Me by Josh Turner. Country comes in strong with love songs, the instruments hit right, and by the time it gets to the chorus I feel like screaming out the lyrics - and I want a love like that. GIVE ME THAT KIND OF HEARTWARMING!
VanitySmurf Blu will be judging the heartbreaking selections. His example submission is Back to Black by Amy Winehouse. "I chose this song because it spoke deeply personal and was a song centered around her true heartache from her ex. This song tells her story about being in a relationship and having a difficult breakup, and when its finish you go back to what you know which could be depression, substance abuse etc."
I believe heartbreak is self explanatory but if you would like clarification always feel free to ask! Again, it does not have to be limited to romantic.
We do hope that everyone submits and if so we may begin ranking, if however we find this too chaotic with this many players left and double submissions, we may continue providing feedback in order of comment submission. Our overall least favorite submissions may go to a sudden death round where you'd submit one more song to fight for your spot in the game.
Good luck everyone! Deadline is MIDNIGHT TOMORROW! that's 28 hours you can submit okay <3
Heartwarming: "Love You For A Long Time" by Maggie Rogers
This song to me rings pure bliss being in a relationship with your soulmate. There is also such a nice tone to the song and makes me really happy!
Heartbreaking: "And it Breaks My Heart" Leon
Leon is one of my favorite lyricists. She is so talented with bring emotion to her music. This album is sadness, but I feel like this song is a great example of falling out of love with someone and the feelings you have in a fresh breakup. I always get a tear in my eye with this one.
Heartbreaking: A Trophy Father's Trophy Son - Sleeping with Sirens
This song really hits me in the daddy issues and just that hole in my heart for a proper father figure that I lack.
For me, this song screams heartwarming. Whenever I hear it, I just start to recall all of the fond memories I had at my prom, since I am not married. This song perfectly captures the way a person feels while dating and that stage where it is just beginning to be love.
Heartbreak:
I love this song, personally. For me it just shows that sometimes the person you believe was a good fit for you will just not work out. You have to accept that people you love may come and go from your life, and even though it hurts, you move on eventually.
Heartwarming: Lana Del Rey - Young and Beautiful
This song is about almost desperation for love. I think almost everybody goes through this phase of having someone they'd want to love and would do anything to please them.
Heartbreaking: Lady Gaga - Million Reasons
Gaga's whole career is based on her taking risks and experiencing with everything she does. With her "Joanne" album, or this song in particular, she stepped away from her electronic-heavy style to focus on a more ballad kind of feel and it works with this song, as it enhances her emotions and desperations to get back to a lover but all they seem to do is make excuses to leave the relationship.
With its dreamy sound and her voice almost begging for someone to respond, I think this captures that genuine want to be there for someone when you love them
In this song, front woman Merill talks about her contemplations of self harm and suicide. She sings about being strong enough for people to not worry but she’s constantly on the verge of her own demise.
