Alex’s is woken by the gentle bumps and rocks that her body endures. As her eyes open entirely, she appears to be inside a car, a rather fashionable one. She has a seatbelt fastened over her shoulder while curled up in a ball, asleep in the passenger’s seat. She pivots her head to the driver’s seat next to her to see her boyfriend, Mark.
“Hey, babe,” Mark smiles, rubbing his hand through her hair, taking his eyes of the road for a few moments.
“Where… are we?” Alex asks, stabilizing herself in the chair and raising her head, “how did you survive the accident!?”
“What accident? Alex, are you alright?” Mark questions while a serious look brews across his face, “I was in an accident?”
Alex, consumed with nerves, searches outside the window and is in a place she doesn’t recognize. All she can see is a creepy woodland with a low level of mist engulfing it and the road. It is a very clear night with a huge moon.
“Where’s my parents? Josh?”
“Josh… died of cancer two years ago… Alex,” Mark explains. He takes his eyes from the road again, trying to comfort Alex with his hand by stroking her hair or holding her hand. A bright ray of light belonging to another car passes, blinding Mark, and he panics. He grabs the wheel, steering out of the direction of the oncoming car, and it begins to spin out of control, what feels like forever, until a sudden jolt. Alex raises her head, to see they had hit a tree, almost uprooting it. The oncoming car continue to drive, not turning back. Alex’s leg was crushed by the car, and trapped. She can feel her fresh blood running down her leg while she cries out for Mark…”

“MOM!!” Missy dashes up the stairs of her house, to find Alex in sweats while on top of the covers, crying. Missy already understood she had the same nightmare as she usual. Alex freaks, pulling her pyjamas up to still find a huge scar from the accident across her leg, and cries even more, until Missy lets a tear fall too. Missy walks over and lays on the bed with her, holding her hands and hugging her tightly.
“It’s okay Alex, I’m not leaving you. I’ll never leave you.”

“Why we she attacking you? I don’t know how many times I can rephrase the same question,” Lee asks while fiddling with his fingers. Himself and Kara are inside a cold, artificially lit room in the police department, a few blocks from Norton Hospital. The walls are and floor a dark concrete and nothing but a table and two chairs furnish the room; Kara and Lee sit upon the chairs.
“I told you, I don’t… know! Okay! I don’t know! It was self-defence,” Kara seems shaky after her experience in the bar earlier that night. She still has a few splatters of dried blood on her face.
“Self-defence?”
“Yeah!” Kara continues, “I was just… at the bar! Like any other woman. She just went crazy and tried to bite me!” Lee’s eyes widen at this comment. The room is silent for a while and Kara picks up on his body language.
“Why… what do you know?” Lee does not answer, rubbing his face with his palms, “all this time you’ve been questioning me when you know exactly why don’t you?”
“I DON’T… know why she attacked you. This is classified information.” Kara decides to fall silent for a moment, not wanting to get on Lee’s bad side.
“I need to make a call, wait here. I’ll be back in about an hour,” Lee explains, leaving the room in a hurry. Kara is left on her own in a dark interrogation room with the door closed as Lee left the room. She turns her head towards the mirror that is secretly a mirror, wondering if anyone is watching.

Lee phones Charlene on his mobile while taking swift turns around the long, grey corridors of the police department.
“Charlene, these ‘rabies’ infected people is becoming an epidemic. Report it now.”
“It… isn’t rabies. That person was dead!”
“No shit, Charlene!” Lee shouts. He takes another sharp turn around the corner, into the staff room.
“No Lee, he had been dead… for hours before the officer shot him through the skull. A walking dead…” But Lee’s voice chokes as he finds all the officers in his class in the staff room dead. One lays stiffly in an office chair with her head against the computer screen, blood dripping from her mouth with flesh ripped from her neck, cheeks and arms. Another dead female officer is currently being ripped apart by a walker. He slowly pulls guts and organs into his mouth, chewing with gluttony.
“Stay in Norton hospital, Charlene. I’ll be there soon,” Lee whispers, placing the mobile calmly in his pocket. The reanimated walker has not noticed him yet. He sneaks up behind it, delivering a shot to skull with his side pistol. But doing so, takes a large chunk of his humanity from him, leaving him feeling empty.

Lee calms his nerves by controlling his breathing and using his hands on his knees to balance himself. Upon looking up, he sees a small girl, around age 8, staring up at him. Her eyes glance the room and she begins to have anxiety attacks.
“This happened to mommy! Daddy did this to mommy! Why!?” She cries.
“You was supposed to stay in the lobby!” Lee scolds. But his tone of voice lightens after remembering the case of her parents, the father viciously ate her mother alive. It was filed under domestic violence. While she sobs, lee carries her on his back, while having his pistol in his hand, returning back towards Kara’s interrogation room.
“Where are we going? Am I going home now?” Sky whimpers, rubbing her eyes, but being careful not to tip backwards from Lee’s back.
“Sorry Sky, not yet. We are going to the hospital as there is a special lady there that needs saving. Do you think you can be brave and help me save her?” Lee whispers with a soothing tone. He feels her nod behind him.

Kara sits calmly, still, in the interrogative room, still occasionally glancing at the one way mirror.
“Hurry up,” She says nervously, tapping her high heel on the ground. Her black dress and hair still ruined from earlier that night. She sees a shadow walk past outside the bar doors and quickly runs to it.
“Officer? Officer! Can we please talk?” Kara pleads, trying to grab his shadows attention by waving her hands through the bars. There is silence while she hears echoes of approaching footsteps. It is hard to see as the lighting in the building is a dim, cold blue, with the occasional light flickering.
“Officer?” She asks again.
“AHHHH!” She screams as a dead officer grabs her arms through the bars, pulling her towards his mouth, dripping with flesh blood. She instantly gets flashbacks of the intense party experience. The officer releases a high-pitched squeal just before a bullet fires through the back of his eye-socket while remaining his grip on Kara, resulting in her crumbling to the ground as the walker does. She cries slightly, just watching another human being die tonight. As she looks up, Lee rips the walker away from the entrance of the room and tugs Kara out of the dark cell with Sky by his side. Kara stares at the little girl for a few moments, thinking this sight is not one for a child.
“What is going on…?” She shakes.
“I’ll tell you on the way.”

The Quentin family are having a late night meal, around 10pm. Adrian and Payton have finished early. Julia has purple bags under her eyes from withdrawal symptoms.
“Adrian! Stop! Oh my god, STOP!” Payton shouts as Adrian continues to annoy her by flicking his spoon on her knee under the table.
“I have to go back to court in two days,” Stan declares, his eyes quickly glancing up his family. Julia continues to play with her food while Payton and Adrian reserve their play fight for now, slowly relaxing their muscles as silence falls onto the table.
“It’ll go okay though, right?” Payton asks. Her father doesn’t respond, “Dad?”
“Yeah, yeah. It’ll-it will be fine,” Stan stutters. Julia does not raise her head up once, watching the food on her plate roll. Adrian and Payton give each other a common look simultaneously. Something is up with their parents. Adrian takes his plate to trash. Just before he scrapes his food into it, a shimmer of light catches his eye. A metal needle and a bag of drugs are in the trash, and he fishes them out. Julia cries for herself, hoping her children would not become involved. Adrian gives a sorrowful look to his parents. When he comes to Payton, he gives a look of judgement.
“They’re not mine!” Payton panics, “I quit that stuff I told you!” Stanley suddenly thinks of a way to protect his wife’s secret.
“Payton, no one else in the house does drugs,” Stan shouts, losing his temper all under an act of a lie, knowing Julia is the real culprit.
“I don’t do drugs, I DID do drugs, PAST TENSE DAD!” Payton screams, crying, “I’m not lying, remember I’m the one who admitted it to you last time!”
“Go to your room, Payton. You too, Adrian,” Stan demands, sitting back at the dining table, letting his hands collapse onto his face as he falls into his worries. Payton does not hesitate to leave the room in tears, followed by Adrian reluctantly.

“I’m sorry,” Julia whimpers silently at the end of the table. There is a surprising distance between them.
“It’s done. Just don’t ever do that shit again. If I go to jail-“
“but you won’t, Stanley.”
“You don’t know that,” he sulks while Julia’s tears become stronger, “I’m not exactly innocent either,” Stan continues to cry too. Julia runs into his arms, “what was I supposed to do? Let him kill our daughter? It was her or him. I’m just so lucky she never found out about it, or it would have scarred our baby girl.”
“Wait, the hospital is calling me. I thought they fired me,” Julia wonders, pulling out her mobile.
“Okay… okay, REALLY? Okay, I’ll be right there!”
“Did you get your job back!?”
“Yeah, they said I can get double pay too! Apparently their hands are full at the moment. They must be desperate for help,” Julia concludes. Julia says goodbye to her family while continuing the lie that Payton takes drugs again. She leaves, and takes the home car with her.

Sharon, Kate and Mac are living in an apartment building that is fairly poor and old. Molly is over for the night to do a college project with Mac who are both in his bedroom. Molly is laying on the bed, facing Mac who sits at his small desk.
“Why are you learning this, Mac?” Molly sighs, biting the ends of her nails in the meantime.
“It’s my P.E. course, I have to,” He also sighs, but with boredom rather than sarcasm. Molly sits there for a few moments, overcome by her thoughts.
“Mac, do you fancy anyone?" She smiles, leaning up into a crossed-leg position, rocking back an fourth.
“I told you yesterday, Lauren, that girl at my college,” he explains, smiling, but remaining focused, “I also told Kate I would stay single until she finds a girl or boyfriend. She’s having a hard time.”
“Yeah… that’s nice,” Molly speaks with a straight expression, leaning back onto her bed in disappointment and jealousy. Mac and Molly then hear Kate and Sharon arguing in the living room adjacent to them.
“Fuck sake,” Mac sighs leaving Molly in his bedroom in a hurry to go into the living room.
“What’s wrong with you?” Sharon shouts, throwing a pillow at Kate who has backed up onto the couch. Sharon holds Kate’s phone in her hands, going through her messages. “What’s this? ‘Hi Gina, had a great time last night, can’t wait to see you again, love you.’ You want to fucking scissor her too!” Sharon screams, throwing the phone at Kate as well, but it instead smashes a half full bottle of vodka lying on the living room floor.
“Mom, stop!” Mac scolds, running between them. Kate cries, who now has a scratch under her eye and tears stream from her eyes while she cowers on the couch. After a few moment to calm down, Sharon notices the damage she has done.
“I’m-I’m sorry, it’s the alcohol! I’m sorry…” Sharon whispers, approaching Kate but gets pushed away by Mac.
“It’s the alcohol? You’ve been like this for years,” Mac disapproves, helping Kate up, taking her too her bedroom. Kate avoids eye contact with her own mother.

“And there have been continuous reports from New York City, Tokyo and London of an infectious outbreak,” the television emphasised, leaving Alex in shock, who is now downstairs on the couch. The room is dark, and the television is the only light in the room. Justyn sits beside her who is warming up to his saviours.
“I’m sorry, am I hogging?” Alex smiles, gripping the blanket tight over her body.
“No, I’m not cold,” he says, his eyes fixed on the Television.
Missy walks past and smiles from a distance at the sight of her two favourite kids becoming friends, but the male narrator on television immediately catches her attention.
“We advise any residents that live in a city to stay indoors. Symptoms of the infection include a strong fever, sweating, pale skin and blood shot eyes.” Then they revealed an image after warning the viewer of its disturbances. Justyn screams and begins to have anxiety attacks. Upon looking at the screen, Missy understands that this description was similar to the one Justyn gave her earlier of his boss.
“COLBY!” Missy screams up the stairs in hysterics, “Alex, calm him down please!” Missy begs.
“What’s wrong!?” Colby sprints down the stairs at Missy’s request. He could sense the tone of emergency in her voice.
“We need to lock all the doors and windows now. Did you just see the news!?” Missy panics, running around the house.
“Mom, you’re beginning to freak me out!” Alex says, standing up, focusing on her curiosity rather than Justyn’s anxiety.
“Yeah, honey, you’re overacting, I’m sure that thing on the news was just an overstatement.” Missy suddenly hears the sound of Josh being sick in the garage.
“Fucking hell, I need to see if he’s alright,” Missy cries, leaving the room.
“No, honey, talk to me,”
“I CAN’T! HE CAN CHOKE ON HIS SICK, COLBY! Just lock the doors, it doesn’t hurt to be safe but it hurts to be sorry!”

After a long day involving the police and his co-workers death and injury, he finally arrives home at his modern lodge in the woods, miles from the city although it can be seen in the distance. What makes his lodge appear modern is the black and white shiny walls and the ‘cube-like’ nature. One of the advantages of being a successful entrepreneur is the pay. The lodge is supported by stilts that hovers over a shallow, but wide river, leading in from the city. The sky is pitch black, but the stars are visible from the lack of light pollution. The calm moon light glistens off the river and Felix’s eyes. His suit and tie becomes damp from the gentle rain. With extreme effort, he advances up the glass stairs until he reaches the entrance of his door. Upon entering, his entire house is trashed. The living room and kitchen are connected to one room and is also two floors tall with a slanted roof. Clothes and furniture trash the room, upon which he drops his bag in shock. After reaching the centre of the room, he hears the noise of a click behind him, to which he swiftly turns. A young woman is holding a gun in his direction from a distance.
“Please-D-Don’t shoot,” Felix complies. The girl gesture for Felix to get down to his knees, and he does so. He has a few moments to register her outfit. Her fashion style suggests she is around 20 years old. Very beautiful and healthy, but engulfed by a drive to survive. She keeps her gun fixed to his position while emptying every kitchen draw by yanking them out of their socket.
“Nice house,” she says.
“What do you want?” Felix asks. But the girl doesn’t reply, but instead gives him her full attention.
“More ammo.”
“I don’t have any bullets,” he responds, scared for his life.
“You have no idea what’s going on, do you?” The girl asks, squinting her eyes in judgement.
“No, I can honestly say that I don’t, crazy bitch,” This comment forces the girl to pull the trigger, firing past Felix’s ear, “FUCK!”
“Now, I’m going to stay here the night, and you’re going to lock every door in the house if you want to survive,” The girl demands, approaching him, “I’m sorry I trashed your house. I’m Aria.”
“Or what, you’re going to shoot me? Am I a hostage?”
“It won’t be me that kills you, now are you bit?”
“What?” Felix ponders, his hands begin to find their way behind his head, assuming the arrest position, “what sort of question is that?” all of a sudden, he recalls the accident involving his co-workers and how Frank bit that lady earlier. His eyebrows raise and his facial expression intensifies.
“Are you a police officer? I’ve already been interrogated today.”
“Are- you- bit?” Aria asks for a final time. He shakes his head and she lowers her gun, “Lock the doors.”

“We’re leaving right now,” Payton insists, opening Adrian’s bedroom window after intruding.
“What are you doing?” Adrian demands to know.
“Mom’s out. We’re leaving. You told me you’d come with me!” Payton whispers, but Adrian seems unsure.
“I don’t think you should run away. You need help.”
“They weren’t MINE! I can’t retell the truth over and over again.”
“Is that the truth?” Before this moment, Payton had her back to Adrian trying to open the bedroom window, but this comment urges her to turn around and respond.
“You want the truth? I am the only one that is looking out for you right now. They are mom’s drugs, not mine. I caught her doing them just after grandad die a week ago. But I said nothing. Dad killed a man. Dad lied for mom and threw me under the bus, so he would have done the exact same to you if you was me. Finally, I’m asking you to come with me, as a brother. Please.” Adrian takes a few moments to think, and agrees to run away with her, although it still feels involuntary. They gently walk across the rooftop as it rains, attempting not to slip. They climb down the drainpipe, slowly and steadily, hoping their father doesn’t catch them. They use their teamwork skills until they are safe on the grass.
“Where are we going?”
“My friend, Mac’s. I used to know him before he left for college. He’ll let us stay there for a while,” Payton explains. By this moment, both their hair is drenched by rain and their fingers and toes begin to wrinkle from the dampness in the air and in their socks.
“Isn’t that all the way across the city!?” Adrian whispers loudly.
“We’ll get the underground. I have money.”

The Norton hospital of Louisville is busy and crowded with injured an surgeons and the waiting rooms are engulfed with patients waiting for their loved ones, unknown to them that will reanimate in a ‘different means’ to than they had hoped. Although Quinton and Peter are overwhelmed by noise, Quinton is filled with a silence after imagining the death of his brother. A surgeon quickly rushes out with the name tag ‘Julia Quentin’.
“How’s he doing?” Quinton asks, jumping out of his chair. Peter later rises too.
“Do you have an adult around for supervision?” Julia asks with seriousness, overwhelmed with patients. A gloom follows on Quinton’s face afterwards.
“No, we haven’t,” Peter answers.
“Well, the lines seems to be down at the moment so I can’t call them. I’m trusting you to be responsible adults, although I cannot allow him to be released from hospital without consent from a guardian. Once he is awake, I’ll allow you to visit him.”
“What’s the damage?” Peter asks. Quinton is afraid to hear.
“Well, he has cracked his skull for definite, and his left ear has been dispatched by accident, although I am not sure if this has seriously affected his hearing yet. He is in a temporary coma, it could last up to a week at most. But he’ll be fine. He’ll most likely awake later today. I have to get back to work,” Julia rushes, immediately leaving them in the dark waiting room.
“Don’t worry,” Peter whispers, hugging Quinton to sooth his nerves, “he’ll be fine, you heard her.”

Jesse brakes the backdoor to his mother’s house open.
“Mom!?” He panics, finding her drunk of the kitchen floor.
“MOM!” He panics, sitting her upright.
“I’m sorry,” she whispers, touching his face, “I love you no matter what.” Jesse can tell she is intoxicated. She is not normally this friendly.
“You hadn’t called back, I was worr-” He then sees the phone smashed on the kitchen floor. Charlotte cries gradually.
“I treated you like- like shit. It’s not your fault! It’s mine! I should have given you a father figure! I should have- found someone…”
“Mom, don’t be sorry. I couldn’t expect you to sleep with a man for my sake.”
“You’re a good boy. Are you doing okay?” She giggles, fondling his hair.
“Yes Mom,” he laughs, “I’m fine. Actually, I’ve been writing a little more. I think this one’s a seller. It’s about sisters called Amy and Andrea.”
“Amy and Barbara?” She queries. Blood unexpectedly squirts from her shoulder as a strange man rips the flesh from it. Charlotte’s drunk personality instantly shakes off and a single tear rolls down her eyes as she scream her heart out in the utmost pain. A footprint trail leads in from the door that Jesse busted to get in to his mother’s house.
“MOM!” Jesse cries and grabs a kitchen knife off the counter, slamming it in to the walker’s back. The man rises slowly while Jesse takes a few steps back in fear, falling back onto the fridge, with the knife still in the walker’s spine. Jesse hears the crunch of his spine as the walker stands straight, the knife preventing a fully straight posture. As he turns his face, one side of his bloody face is ripped off, what looks like by hand. Blood drips from his wounds and he staggers towards Jesse, he grabs one more knife, slamming it into the walker’s eye socket. This sends it tumbling to the ground, on top of Charlotte.

Episode out of 10?:

Coolkat, Natalie and Olivia will be introduced next episode I think!

Btw guys, I was thinking of making these blogs more interesting by letting you have an effect on the story. For example: I would have let you decide whether Adrian went with Payton or not, effecting the plot of the story. Or would you rather me have full control?

Um between Kara,Felix and Mac
They have good dialogue and character development
I feel like maybe Alex, and it will be very emotional
Aria lol, maybe Peyton if he manages to get to Mac and the others in time
Oh my god this is so amazing.
"But doing that, takes a large chunk of his humanity, leaving him feeling empty"
10 it was amazing

Also I feel like having the audience take part of the story will bring more attention to the series so I think you should.

Loved the episode.
My faves are Kara,Felix.
THEY are just really interesting.
Maybe Sharron?
I feel like Felix and Aria are good potential survivors evn though Aria is relatively new.
My fave quote was the same quote Mac said was his fave.
10.
Also Thanks for letting me know when they are in.
Also Having the audience be apart of The story sounds cool

@sportygirl222 I knew you'd love it
coolKat im so excited to introduce them!!!

Who is your favourite character atm?: I'm really liking Lee right now.  I also like Missy, Payton, and Kara
Why?: Lee I like because he's been a badass so far.  Missy I like because she's caring, Payton because he seems like he knows his shit, and Kara because I think she can really develop into something here.
Who do you think will be the next t die?: If Ikaris hasn't died yet from last episode, he will go.  Otherwise, I'm feeling that Jesse could be in danger, as well as Kate.  I'm not counting Charlotte because she was already bitten.
Who do you thin has the potential to survive?: A lot are saying Aria, and for good reason.  Lee also has the potential to be a survivor as long as Charlene is alive with him.
Thoughts on this episode?: I really liked it.  Peter and Quinton's part kind of was stale though.
Favourite quote/sentence?: “No Lee, he had been dead… for hours before the officer shot him through the skull. A walking dead…”  It has the title in the sentence, so it's only fitting  :P
Episode out of 10?: 9/10  Like I said, that hospital scene seemed a bit stale, BUT I enjoyed the rest of the episode.

And I agree that you should have us interact with the story.  It'll make it more interesting to the outside viewer that way.
Sent by Icarus_Mark,Mar 25, 2016
Icarus_Mark great feedback thankyou! And you are right, it was a bit stale. I think it's because it was more of a filler scene. But next episode, sh#t gets real haha
Sent by HaloKing,Mar 25, 2016
Who is your favourite character atm?: Kara and Felix are great, and Payton is my favourite from my characters :)
Why?: Kara and Felix have the best development so far, and great dialogue as well. Payton is exactly how I thought she would be, with the other Quentins still having time to grow!
Who do you think will be the next t die?: I feel someone from that last bit, maybe Jesse but I can't be sure.
Who do you think has the potential to survive?: Lee and Aria for similar reasons stated above. I have a strange feeling Payton and Adrian as well, but again that could be biased.
Thoughts on this episode?: Great development and set up for the next episode, loved the ending!
Favourite quote/sentence?: "Just lock the doors, it doesn’t hurt to be safe but it hurts to be sorry!” - That really sums up the story so far! Also loved the Morgan reference with the Are You Bit, as well as the mention of Andrea and Amy!
Episode out of 10?: 8 or 8.5. Really solid, and it wasn't bad. It feels like a set up for a huge episode 4, which will be great I presume.

I agree with the interaction as well. You gave the example of Adrian and Payton, and I was happy you decided to let them leave. I always thought they were the rebelious type!

Can't wait for Ep. 4! HaloKing

She has a great backstory
Charlene
Quinton Payton Adrian Mac Aria and Felix
The Quentin's storyline was amazing

It would be cool to interact

Okay, so after reading the episode again, I noticed something:  Charlene is in the hospital as well as Peter and Quinton.  I think one of two thing will definitely happen.  Maybe both:

there is going to be a pivotal meet-up between Lee's group and Peter's pretty soon.  Julia would also be in the rendezvous.

The hospital will be a major location in the story.
Sent by Icarus_Mark,Mar 26, 2016
Icarus_Mark OMG you have no idea how on track you are haha. It's good to see you remember Charlene is at the hospital! Will make the story more entertaining for you :D
TheStan you are correct, it was sort of a 'filler' episode for EP 4, but thankyou for the amazing comments!!! I'm glad you noticed all my little easter eggs too haha. And although I'm writing it, I LOVE PAYTON TOO :P everyone keeps thinking she is a boy haha.
Tkoj555 Everything Aria did and said LOL

MickyBoomy9 in the nicest way possible, I thought I hadn't developed his character enough to be likeable/ favourited. With great power, comes great responsibility haha.
