Before exiting the plane Alexandria had grabbed a bat (She said the plane let her have it in case of an emergency) and and small kit full of medical supplies. Joyce grabbed the kit telling everyone that she's a surgeon and they all climbed an emergency ladder off the plane. Once they were off it seemed like a lot of people just wanted right back on again. The airstrip was in shambles, it's a miracle that they managed to land through all the scattered out vehicles and equipment... Apparently the pilot had just ran over any bodies in their path... It was evident that going inside the airport would be completely unsafe as it had probably been overrun by walkers so they had to make a new plan. They took cover behind one of the vehicles they use to get the check baggage out of the plane so that none of the walkers on the airstrip would notice their group. While they were making their way over Carlos noticed a hole in the fence on the other side of the airstrip. He told the group that if they could weave their way in between vehicles silently that they could all make it under the fence and the walkers from the airstrip wouldn't be able to chase them. Behind one of the vehicles was a man with a hatchet in his head, the sight of it made Jemima nearly pass out and Connor had to hold in vomit to keep from making any noise. But Lynette took the hatchet out of his head without any hesitation the second she saw it, telling the group "We need it a lot more than he does". As they passed to the next vehicle Zach noticed something on one of the walkers and gathered Lynette and Alexandria to get help to go and get it. He got them to look through the tinted windows of the car they were behind to notice that the walker used to be a swat officer. And he was still holding his M4. Alexandria said it wasn't worth it because they'd have no cover when they ran out there to get it and the noise from killing the walkers could attract a lot of walkers to them. Joyce and Jaylen both agreed and told Zach that they didn't want to die for a stupid gun. But Lynette took Zach's side and told the group that her and Zach would go to retrieve the weapon and the rest of the group should stay back and be ready to run for the gate if anything goes wrong. The group agreed and Zach and Lynette left cover to go and retrieve the weapon. Their sprinting out of cover immediately attracted other walkers in eyesight on the airstrip that Zach and Lynette didn't seem to notice. Allan had to hold in all of his instincts to yell to them and warn them about what's coming to keep from attracting more of them, but that went out the window when Anthony yelled "LOOK OUT THEY'RE COMING!!!" As loud as he could to them. Noah quickly punched him in the mouth and told him to keep quiet but the damage had already been done. Walkers began gathering at all sides around them so they had to break for it. By then Lynette and Zach had just retrieved the M4 so Zach began letting off shots. Not many of his bullets were working though. He sprayed but rarely hit and when he did he would hit in the chest area to no effect. Alexandria and Lynette worked on killing the walkers in between the group and the fence while Zach tried to take care of the hoarde of walkers behind them to no avail. He didn't think about checking for ammo on the officer and quickly ran out of bullets as a small group of the hoarde formed a circle around him. Lynette and Alexandria both ran over and began killing walkers trying to save Zach but it was too late. Alexandria had to pull Lynette away to keep her from suffering the same fate and they were the last 2 to crawl under the gate to safety. Most people were to caught up in fear for their lives at that very moment to be sad about what had happened to Zach but Jemima and Lynette both broke down crying. They had to keep going though, they weren't sure how long the fence would hold with all of the walkers pushing up against it...
