I played another BrantSteele today with Hash, coreyants, ZLilly831, and Zuelke and the conversation started out light, but then I started talking about Mother's Day. I said that even though I don't have kids, I still see myself as a mother and we women are mothers simply because of our natural ability to be loving, compassionate, and nurturing. Corey opened his mouth and said that without kids, I am NOT a mother and everyone on call started laughing. He already knows I have endometriosis and that whole subject of possibly not being able to have kids is a very sore spot with me. It hurts that he would actually say that to my face knowing my struggle. What does that kind of attitude say to women who can't have kids or who struggle with medical conditions related to fertility? Corey is a women's studies major and he actually thinks that women have to have kids to be considered mothers? I mean, how do y'all feel about what he said and my feelings on it? Are y'all offended by what he said? I didn't even get a chance to discuss it after the game, as I was kicked off the call once the game was over with very raw feelings.
