Giovanni is the gym leader of Viridian City in the games Red, Blue, Yellow, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Let's Go Pikachu & Let's Go Eevee. Where Giovanni has team of Rhyhorn, Dugtrio, Nidoqueen, Nidoking & Rhydon in Red & Blue, he has Dugtrio, Persian, Nidoqueen, Nidoking & Rhydon in Yellow, he has team of Rhyhorn, Dugtrio, Nidoqueen, Nidoking & Rhyhorn in Fire Red & Leaf Green, then he has team of Dugtrio, Nidoqueen, Nidoking & Rhydon in Let's Go Eevee & Let's Go Pikachu. So with all his teams, my favorite team of his would be his Yellow team, just because of Persian getting representation since Persian is basically Giovanni's main pokemon in the anime. Then his Fire Red & Leaf Green team is a bit odd, since you'd think it'd be same as his Red & Blue team, but instead of having Rhydon in Fire Red & Leaf Green, guess he instead has two Rhyhorn, which doesn't make much sense to me. Anyways, I love Giovanni a lot because he was the first ever gym leader to kind of be unknown about until you fight against him, at least in the original Kanto games of Red, Blue & Yellow, just as a kid playing through Yellow and having the mystery around the 8th gym leader is great, leaves good element of surprise until you reach that gym. Then the gym puzzle is basically same as when I talked about Blue, just going across arrow paths to try reaching the gym leader, and Giovanni has a great design. However, as much as I love Giovanni, I don't quite love him more than the other leaders remaining.
Just caught up on the ranking.
I agree with all except one Boots22 I forget Maylene exists every single time I play that game.
Her puzzle is one of the best though, but so forgettable
