So as many of you probably didn't know, I wasn't on Tengaged for most of this summer, I had left for 2 months and I did say prior to leaving how that was. It was because for 2 and a half months I would be in Florida working as a Camp Counselor and Lifeguard at a summer camp. I was one of 5 other British counselors who went to camp and other a while we walked around calling each other #TeamBrit lol
I will start off with the camp itself. When I got to the camp after a two hour delay in Chicago I waste excited to start of my summer experience, however we arrived at like 10pm so it was pitch black and couldn't see anything. When I got to my cabin, I met my other counselors and kids and at first they seemed like a great bunch of people (oh was I wrong) once this session got started my kids were an absolute nightmare, they just kept arguing and fighting and one even tried to run out of the camp so I had my hands full that first sessions, however one of my other counselors was an absolute dickhead, he was ignorant, big headed and up himself. He even said a couple of things that were directed to be that really offended me, luckily that was the on,y session I had to deal with him because next session I got moved to a different cabin...plus he was fired that next session HAHAHA. This sessions upside was I was one of the male counselors picked for Men's beauty review which was so funny and I got dressed up by the oldest cabin of girls and they dressed me up as Miley Cyrus and I ended up getting Miss Congenitally which was great.
The next session was better, it was known as the international session were people was across the carribean and South America came to the camp. My other counselor this session was awesome because we're best friends in camp so we knew we'd get along, however he had an advantage with the kids because he was Mexican and half of our kids spoke Spanish so I didn't understand a word they were saying, however one of the Spanish spoke really good English so did talk to me a lot which was good. Also this session I went completely out of my comfort zone and song at the talent show since counselor could get involved and I was received really well. I already got an award at the end of this session which was from the campers for taking 7 tries to kick a kickball, lets just say the next time I come to America, I'm never playing that sport again lol.
The last session was my favourite by far because one of my other counselors was another Brit and my kids were the best because they were so well behaved and responded to me well. Legit, they did whatever I asked them to do, I was glad to be with my other counselors because we were all really close and I finally got to be co's with them after 6 weeks of being next door to them, however the funny part was one of them moved all the counselors beds together so it was like a massive sleepover for the 10 day session lol. A highlight for me this session was I got to be one of the celebrity judges..
