Eye rolling Jake, Jillian walks into the kitchen as he starts rallying the troops to help him scare the movie-goers. Getting a headache because of that nonsense, she pours herself a glass of wine on the other side of the counter. She goes to take a sip when she notices the door to the kitchen open. It's Constance "Connie" Carter. Jillian waves Connie over, in the meantime actually noticing Mac Anderson sitting at the counter, casually sipping liquor. Jill squints, trying to realize that he was there when she walked in. Shrugging it off, Jillian stood on the other side of the counter from Mac as Connie sat next to him.

Jillian tries to strike a conversation, mentioning the scare prank Jake was organizing with mostly the boys. Connie rolls her eyes and saying that it's dumb and pointless. "What are they going to get out of it, making the people wet themselves or something?" She rolls her eyes as she folds her arms in the process. Mac looks at them, squinting his eyes. He says that they are all wrong about the prank, and that it really was harmless fun. Jillian glares at him, wondering why he isn't participating then. He says that he isn't one to "scare". Rolling her eyes again, Connie walks over to the cabinet and notices the emptiness of it. She looks over to the other two and asks why. Jillian says she swear she saw Xander take a whole handful of food from the pantry. Connie asks if he was starving, and the other two shrugged, and in the process Mac chuckled a bit.

Dave and Andrew arrive in the living room. Andrew sits down near the fireplace, sighing. Dave sits in a leather comforter close by, staring at the dancing flames of the fireplace.
Both of the boys turn their heads to see Kelsey walk in. Dave's expression changes into a happy grin as she strides over and stands next to him. Dave smiles as she leans down and kisses him. Andrew frowns, looking at them and then rolling his eyes. "Love cahoots with my brother...? I really am disgusted." He remarks, folding his arms and turning away. Dave gives him a look and opens his mouth to say something but Kelsey interjects, "Andrew, why don't you go ruin someone else's fun. Your brother isn't bad at all and you should stop hating the people he dates." She also gives him a look before she sits in the couch nearest to Dave. Andrew scoffs, waving his hand, "Oh please. He dates tricks all the time." Gasping, Kelsey flips him off. Dave stands up and points at Andrew, "Oh shut the fuck up, with that attitude it doesn't look like you'll get anyone either." Andrew sighs, looking away knowing it's kinda true. Dave steps over and sits next to his girlfriend, hugging her and staring at the crackling fire again.

In the Great Room, Jake is trying to masterfully plan out his prank. Out of his bag, he pulls out multiple masks; Jason, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Chucky, Leatherface, and multiple bag-shaped sacks with holes cut for the eyes & nose and sewn on smiles. Looking around, he notices his crew of scarers: Winston, Marie, Ruth, Paxton, and Drew. As he gave out the masks, he gave special orders to each of the scarers. Jake tells them to wait down here as he runs upstairs into his and Kaylynn’s room. He comes down the stairs, rolling a suitcase after him. He opens it up to reveal fake plastic weapons & toys to make the scare more believable.

Jake first gave Winston the Leatherface mask and told him to wait behind the bottom of the stairs that lead to the bottom floor. He’d pop out and either grab an ankle or scare them with the small, plastic chainsaw that Jake had. Winston nods, grabbing his gear and leaving. Marie is next, and Jake gives her the Freddy Krueger mask. She tries it on and Jake says her makeup looks better now. Slugging his shoulder and calling him an ass, she asks what is she doing. Jake responds by giving her a claws. He tells her to wait in one of the bedrooms on the bottom floor incase someone walks in and give them a scare. She nods, hurriedly going to her spot.

Jake gives Paxton the Michael Myers mask and a bloody, fake knife, telling him to wait near the dining hall incase people come up the stairs. He nods, saying this is going to be lit and walks over to the dining hall entrance. Grinning as his master plan is coming to light, he gives the Jason hockey mask to Drew and tells him to sneak past the Cinema and hide in that hallway so when they walk out he can give them a real spook. Drew nods, grabbing his gear and heading on out. Finally, little ‘ol Ruth says she wants to participate as well. Jake nods, saying the little girl wants to play too. Ruth replies saying she ain’t little, however she is kinda turned on by him saying that. Anyways, Jake hands her the Chucky mask and a small knife and tells her to hide in the hallway next to the Cinema hallway incase someone goes down that way. She nods, scurrying down to her spot.

Smiling to himself, Jake grabs two sack masks and then hides his bags in a small closet in the foyer. He grabs a knife for himself and makes his way to the breaker down in the kitchen.

In the kitchen, Jillian and Connie are having a conversation about boys. Mac is turned away, acting as if he isn’t listening but secretly he is. He hears the kitchen door open and turns his stool to see Jake wielding a knife. Jill and Connie turn and watch him walk in and stride over to the breaker panel hidden behind a mirror. Jillian frowns, walking over to him. “What are you doing, and why are you holding-” Jillian says before Jake turns with a sack in his hands and knife. Jillian shrieks, jumping back. Jake puts his hands up and waves. “Shh! It's part of the prank! We're turning off the basement power to have then come out!” Jake explains, giving her a grin and going back to the panel.

Jillian wasn't having it and asked him if this was a little bit cruel. Jake responds that she needs to calm down and let loose. Jake turns back to the panel as Jillian shakes her head and walks back to the counter to Connie. Jillian fills Connie in on what Jake is doing. Connie sighs, saying that it is kind of dumb to go this far. Mac looks over and grins, looking back at the counter top.

Jake looks at the panel and starts flipping switches like he’s a pro. Suddenly, the whole lodge turns into darkness. A few screams can be heard around the lodge.

In the Cinema room, Kaylee, Kayla, Devin, and Kaylynn are in the movie theatre watching Halloween. Sitting behind them are Cassidy, Viktor, and Jacob, while Manny, Claire, Xander sit in front of them. As Michael Myers goes to slash Laurie, the power disconnects throughout the room. Some of the friends scream as others look around in terror. Outside of the room, Drew is chuckling to himself as he hears footsteps getting closer to the Cinema doorway. On the inside, Kaylee and Devin are trying to reassure everyone that everything is okay. Kaylee goes to explain that the fuse in the breaker panel sometimes goes and they just have to fix it. Kayla nods and inputs that it is rare but still happens time to time. Knowing her way around the cinema room, Kaylee walks into a chest in the corner of the room. She opens it, grabbing a flashlight from it. She turns it on, seeing everyone in the room.

Kaylee then tells some people to come with her and others to stay here so they can finish the film. Kayla and Kaylynn ask to stay, so Kaylee says her and Devin can go. She then asks if anyone else wants to go. Jacob says he might as well since he has to get his wheelchair up the stairs and rather have some people help him now. Claire and Cassidy also join in because they are mostly here because of Devin and rather stay with him. The rest of the people, Viktor, Manny, and Xander, decide to stay in the room rather wait with Kayla and Kaylynn. The leaving group, Kaylee and Devin in the front and the rest in tow, opens the door and exit the cinema. After overhearing what they’re doing, Drew decides to stay behind the door and wait for the others to leave. Kaylee guides the group towards the entrance of the hallway, scanning around before walking to the steps.

Kaylee gets to the first step but hears one of the bedroom doors slam shut. The group, jumping and looking where the sound came from, looks around the bottom floor. Devin frowns and says he’ll go see who did that since it sounded like they were mad. Cassidy says he shouldn’t and they should just go turn the lights on. Claire and Jacob agree but Kaylee says it’s just a power outage nothing is going to get to us. Devin nods and walks over to one of the bedrooms, peaking inside.
Kaylee, Claire, and Cassidy start to help Jacob up the stairs as they suddenly hear a scream.

Claire and Cassidy hug each other as Kaylee thinks she heard it back from the Cinema. Claire says she should just go check it out we’ll stay here and wait for Devin. Cassidy nods and Kaylee walks off, with the flashlight, to the cinema room. Claire and Cassidy then both start helping Jacob up the stairs. As Kaylee goes further away, Devin emerges from the first bedroom and tells the trio that he didn’t see anything. They ask him what about the other one, and he walks inside it. A few seconds after, another scream can be heard, this time obviously from Devin. Winston, thinking this is a great time to react, reaches out from under the staircase and grabs Claire’s ankle. Screaming, she lets go of Jacob, who luckily went up three stairs, who rolls down the stairs knocking Cassidy down with her. The girls and Jacob turn to see the Leatherface mask from behind the staircase, a chainsaw rumbling in his hands. The girls scream, this time avoiding his hand and running up the stairs leaving Jacob down there.

In the cinema room, Kayla and Kaylynn are consulting with the others. Suddenly, they hear a knock on the door. Kaylynn, thinking it’s Kaylee and Devin, opens the door to have a Drew in the hockey mask wielding a machete. Kaylynn screams, slamming the door on him but he blocked it from closing with his foot. Kayla screams as well, backing up against a wall where all of the plush pillows and blankets are kept for the cinema room. She breaks the siding on the shelf and they all come tumbling down on top of her and Manny. Kaylynn is struggling against Drew who is trying to get in. Noticing this, Kayla tells Manny to keep quiet and they’ll hide under here. She nods and peaks out a corner to see Kaylynn run from the door, Drew barging in. Kaylynn points towards the other door leading into the studio on the other side of the room. She yells for Xander and Viktor, who backed up towards it, to open it and run! They do so, Xander opening it and him and Viktor running along the small corridor into the studio with Kaylynn on their heels. Kaylynn closes the door behind her, hearing a slam against the door then a thud. Xander opens the studio door, letting the three in and closing the door.

Kaylee is walking back to the Cinema room as the commotion is going on. She is about to walk into the room but she is trampled by Kayla and Manny.  Kayla tells her to run as Drew emerges from the doorway in his scary outfit. Screaming, Kaylee kicks his shin, knocking him to the floor. She gets up and the girls run towards the bottom staircase. The girls hear a manly scream, followed by two girly screams. Emerging from the hallway, they see Claire and Cassidy running up the steps as Leatherface walks out from his hiding spot, chainsaw in hand and Jacob rolling into a room. They turn around to run back down the hallway but Jason is heading their way. “Oh fuck!” Kayla screams, grabbing Kaylee’s hand and running past the second hallway and into the first hallway with Manny behind them.  They run into the first room, the large closet, and go to find hiding spots.

Emerging from the studio, Kaylynn, Viktor, and Xander look around for the machete wielding man. Hearing the screams of her sisters, Kaylynn points down the other side of the hallway to the connector hallway. They walk over to it, questioning who was chasing them. Kaylynn shrugs, opening the doorway and entering the hallway. They walk down it and see the second hallway doorway. Kaylynn says they should go through that one, it’s a clear run to the staircase and the boys nod. She opens the door to see a short feminine body wearing a Chucky mask and wielding a small knife. Chucky lashes, slicing Kaylynn’s forearm. Gasping, Chucky backs up and puts his hands to his face. Still in shock, Kaylynn slams the door shut and says they should go down the other hallway. They nod and keep going and go into the first hallway.

Emerging from the bedroom, Devin is shaking his head as Marie, holding her mask, is laughing. Devin turns and says she could have really hurt somebody. Marie says for him to calm down as everything was fake anyways. Rolling his eyes, he turns to the staircase as a tall boy with a sack on his head comes down the stairs. Marie steps forward. “Oh Jake, you should have seen their faces!” She says, giggling afterwards. Jake lifts off his mask, revealing his smiling face. “I wish I could get here sooner but Jillian was chewing me out still.” He responds, tossing his knife in the air and catching it. Devin shakes his head, “She’s right you know, it was cruel to prank us with such realistic stuff.” Jake rolls his eyes and pushes past him. Winston and Drew come back to the trio and talk about what they’ve done so far. Jacob rolls out of the bedroom, saying that he is delightfully spooked and applauds his prank.

Waiting in the dining hall, Paxton is giggling to himself. After the lights go out and plenty of screams, his excitement is heavy. He hears the creaking of the stairs and peaks out to see Cassidy and Claire running up the stairs. They get to the main floor and start running in his direction. Jumping out, her swings his knife willy nilly. Screaming, Claire falls as Cassidy backpedals and runs to the kitchen. Claire is still screaming, crawling away from Paxton. Paxton stops and erupts into laughter. Tilting her head, Claire stands up as Paxton takes off his mask. Paxton points and laughs at her while Claire slugging his arm.

Cassidy runs into the kitchen, busting through the door and almost knocking into Jillian. Cassidy starts to go on about random killers running about. Jillian calms her down saying it’s all a prank from Jake, saying that other people are in on it as well. Cassidy is about to freak out when Dave, Kelsey, and Andrew walk into the kitchen from the living room. Dave asks what happened to the lights and Jillian says it’s from Jake pranking the people who went to watch the movie. Dave says he didn’t think Jake would go this far. The group shrugs as Austin walks into the kitchen with Claire and Paxton. Claire is visibly upset as Paxton is chuckling still. Austin says he saw Jake walking down the stairs to the bottom floor. Dave says we should go check on them to see how things are going. Everyone nods and starts walking to the stairs.

Kaylynn, Xander, and Viktor run down the first hallway. One of the doorways opens and Kaylynn slams into it. She falls to the floor as Kaylee, Kayla, and Manny come out of the door. Kaylynn says that they don’t have to bring her down like that. The girls smile but Kaylee sees Kaylynn’s bloody arm and asks her about it. She tells her that some person in a Chucky mask swung at her and cut her arm. Kaylee says this must be some kind of joke, but Kayla points to Kaylynn’s wound and says that isn’t no joke. Kayla says they should go back upstairs and get help. Kaylynn agrees and they run to the stairs.

As they turn the corner, Kaylynn runs straight into sack head Jake. Kaylynn screams, pushing him away. Jake takes off his sack, laughing hysterically with the rest of his pranksters walk up, unmasked and laughing. Devin and Jacob hurry up to Kaylee’s group, reassuring them at it’s all just a prank from Jake. Kaylynn looks around, then to her boyfriend and slaps him across the face. Kaylynn says she would have never in a million years think that her friends would scare her like this, especially hurt her as well. Kaylynn pushes past the scarers as starts running up the steps. Kaylee turns to Jake, “You couldn’t have been a more asshole, could you?!” she then starts running after her sister along with Kayla and Manny. The rest of the people look at each other, thinking if this was a good idea.

The people coming in from the kitchen reach the stairs but are stopped by Kaylynn who plows through them. Stunned, Kaylee, Kayla, and Manny are the first to come up from the stairs. The twins are run off first but Manny stops near the gang. Kayla and Kaylee ask where she went, Jillian responds that she ran off into the foyer. Kayla and Kaylee look at each other, nod, and run to follow them. Austin and Jillian look at each other and follow. The people from downstairs are hurrying up the steps, Devin helping Jacob to the top. The big group converses on what happens, however are cut off by the running of Jake and the now-on-the-top-floor Devin towards the foyer. In the foyer, Kaylynn has her shoes on and runs into the main floor bedroom hallway. Kaylee and Kayla run in as Kaylynn runs out. They then follow her as Austin and Jillian come up and run with them. Going around the hallway, into the lounge room, back through the kitchen, into the Great room and to the back doorway, Kaylynn does a complete circle throughout the lodge to slow the others down. She just wants to be left alone right now. Kaylynn runs to the backdoor, opening it and running into the forest. Kayla, Kaylee, Austin, and Jillian stop at the back porch as everyone else catches up and lingers on the porch.

Kaylee is about to chase after her sister, however an unexpected gust of cold wind blows her back onto the porch railing. The group looks around at each other, wondering who is going to go get Kaylynn. Sighing, Jake says she’ll calm down and she’ll be back soon. He turns and walks inside, along with a few others in tow. Left on the porch is Kayla, Kaylee, Devin, Austin, and Jillian. After a few minutes, Kaylee says she is going to go find her. Austin then says it might be too dangerous because the snowstorm is picking up. Kaylee says they can’t just leave her out here and starts walking into the forest. Devin says he’ll go with her, leaving Kayla, Austin, and Jillian worrying.

Kaylynn is running throughout the dim forest, jumping over branches here and there, going over and under logs, and going down paths she doesn’t remember ever seeing. Knowing she is being stupid she slows down and then finally comes to a halt. Looking around, she is following a path she has never actually seen before. Realizing her situation, she decides to sit on a nearby grounded log. She wishes she grabbed her coat and some warm accessories, however she just wanted to get out at the moment. With her adrenaline dwindling, the pain in her arm starts to increase. She looks at her arm to see the cut has been bleeding a bit less now but it is really starting to hurt. She then looks around in the frozen darkness wishing someone could find her right about now.

Kaylee and Devin are hugging each other, treading through the frozen tundra. They are following the disappearing footprints that belong to the small footed girl. They then come up to a fork, seeing Kaylynn’s footprints going down the left. Kaylee mentions to Devin that she should have gone right, it’s the safer path that leads to the small cabin up north. Devin sighs, saying that in the heat of the moment she probably forgot. Kaylee frowns and they start following the small footprints.

After 10 minutes of following the path, they stop at a part of the path that has a lot of footprints, which looks like some sort of tussle had happen. The log has a running stain of blood that Kaylee thinks is from Kaylynn’s arm. Devin inputs that the snow on the log is crunched and that she most likely sat here, however the scene was different after that initial thought. There are a lot of footprints around the log that look like someone isn’t wearing shoes. There is a large impression in the snow beside the log that looks like a snow angel. Then there is dragging leading farther down the path. Scared, Kaylee thinks something happened here that involved Kaylynn. Devin says that it might be Jake trying to reconcile with her and made it here before us, somehow. Kaylee frowns, but nods and says they should keep going. Devin agrees and they keep walking.

Farther down the path, there seems to be a struggle in the snow tracks. There is another snow-angel figure, along with small footprints running off the path. Devin tells Kaylee to wait here and he’ll investigate. Kaylee tells him to be careful and he says for her to be too. Devin squeezes her hand and follows the footprint trail.

Devin walks for a few minutes before emerging at narrow trail that leads to what looks like a clifftop. Because of the storm, the wind have covered the footprints, and Devin is blindly trying to think where the footprints would go. He walks towards the clifftop, leaning over and looks into a dark hole at the bottom of the cliff. He shakes his head, getting up and hurrying back to Kaylee.

Kaylee is rubbing her forearms, waiting for Devin to return. She hears a branch snap, looking away for a split second then turning to see Devin emerge from the foliage. Seeing that Kaylynn isn’t with him, Kaylee starts to cry. Devin hurries over, hugging Kaylee and telling her it’s going to be okay. He says that they should get back it’s too dangerous right now. He tries to reassure her again by saying that Kaylynn probably already came back and that we were just following a bear and his escaped dinner. Kaylee nods and the couple starts their trek back to the lodge, where they make it safely.

Ten minutes earlier -
Kaylynn is sitting on the log, looking around to keep her occupied. Out of nowhere, she hears rustling and then something large tackles her onto the snow. The wind is knocked out of Kaylynn as the thing starts dragging Kaylynn away. After a minute of being dragged quite quickly, Kaylynn regains her stamina and repositions her foot, where the thing that was dragging her was holding onto, and she slips out of her shoe, falling onto the snow. Getting up quickly, Kaylynn darts into the foliage and starts running. The creature screeches, and Kaylynn can hear it following her. Emerging onto a narrow path, Kaylynn keeps running towards the clifftop. Stopping at the edge, she turns and sees the full creature. The creature’s tall figure is glued into her mind, Kaylynn backing up ever so slightly to get away. Taking a step too far, she steps into the air off the side of the clifftop. Realizing her mistake, Kaylynn falls backwards and into the dark hole below.
