The plates rise from the ground allowing the tributes first glance at the arena. Slowly, it's clear why the uniforms are as adventurous as they are. Before each of them is a wide beach encompassing the arena in a semicircle, like the one in all twenty four are in in front of the cornucopia. Past the beach is jungle. It's clear as they look behind them that they are at the edge of the arena and the beach is the main highway through the first Hunger Games.
In the cornucopia there is treasure aplenty fit for the tributes themselves.
