The second pair comes from the most recent season: Caroline Islands. In the inciting incident of the season, one player was looking to gain control of the game while the other was looking to stop him in his tracks. When the time arose in the game right before the merge, this player took aim to get the other out, severely hurting his and his alliance's chances to win the game.
