"The Districts of Panem"

Hello guys and welcome to your photoshoot this week. Once again, our guest judge, Jon Kortajarena will be joining us on our panel this week. Now for today's photoshoot you'll be tasked yet again to chose from a particular theme - the thirteen districts of panem (fictional world of the Hunger Games).

Now I think most of you at least have seen the movie, or may have read the book so I think you'd know or have an idea about the districts. Each of the thirteen districts specializes in a particular product/goods, you are tasked now to show us in a photo your chosen district product - wearing it, having it as a background, as a symbol, etc. Show us some creative ways it's up to you.

As you all know explanation is very important, now each of the districts can be picked TWICE, once 2 models have picked the same district, you cannot pick it anymore. There are 13 districts there are lots of room for everyone.

District 1 (Luxury)

District 1 specializes in producing luxury items like jewelry. Children living there take pride in representing District 1 in the Games and are often among the group of tributes nicknamed "Careers" who illegally train for the Games from a young age. Along with District 2, District 1 is heavily favored by the Capitol and is wealthier than the rest of the districts. People from this district name their children after expensive materials, such as Cashmere, or the characteristics of the things they make, such as Glimmer.

In my photo I'm at the most exquisite society club in District 1 spending most of my money on the most expensive liquor after a training session. I'm Dressed in a simple yet high class outfit that mirrors my name Onyx & of course a few pieces of Jewelry!! You can't represent District 1 by not looking super elegant during a night out on the town.

Since District 8 works with textiles i'm doing a modeling with them, using their product as part of my fashion.

Mia Goth - District 1 | Luxury

Taylor already explained the district, so I'll just reiterate what she said but also explain my own photo of course.

In my photo I'm giving fierce, wealthy luxury. District 1 has also been known to make rich luxurious clothes as well as jewelry and that's what I'm showcasing. I know I'd look the best at the reaping, periodt.

Violet Chachki- Agriculture District 11

Agriculture is the science or practice of farming, including cultivation of the soil for the growing of crops and the rearing of animals to provide food, wool, and other products.

So in this photo I am displaying greenery and nature as agriculture involves nature and I’m super delicate and at peace with greenery kind of life a goddess of some sorts. It’s manifestation.

SUZY | DISTRICT 7: LUMBER

District 7 specializes in lumber and provides wood and paper to the Capitol. The large region is mainly made up of vast trees of different varieties, and many of the citizens are skilled with axes. It is known as one of the more neutral districts in terms of wealth.

My photo portrays the environment and the wealth of my district. Surrounded by me are a vast amount of trees and built around me is my wooden shack (it looks rickety and you wouldn't be wrong, I'm not a good builder) which I painted and took my photoshoot in. I might be skilled with an axe, who knows? Don't fight me at the bloodbath~

Marie Avgeropoulos - ⚒District 2 (Masonry and defense) ⚒

District 2 originally specialized in mining and stone cutting but currently are one of the wealthiest Districts that house the capitals military. The children in District 2 are raised with a warriors mindset and train to become peacekeepers.

In my photo I proudly volunteer as tribute for District 2! Adorned in war paint and dressed for battle, I am ready to test the skills I have been taught my entire life and fight for my District!

Lucien Laviscount - DISTRICT 10 (Livestock)

As we all know the point of the Districts is not to supply a healthy life to its residents but to give the Capitol what they needed to provide themselves a healthy and twisted life. District 10 is one those district that is highly underappreciated. Being the district where they nurture the animals in order to kill them as the Capitol's main meat source comes from this District.

It is known from the books that District 10 kids can come up in different ways, good at survival, or just plain bad.

In this photo I feel like I am representing an interesting capture at what life would probably be like in District 10. Nothing really to do but work when it comes time to work. The blood on the walls come from the sacrificed but also helps keep me sane. Either I get drawn to compete in the Hunger Games or I don't and I officially outgrow the age limit...

District 7: Lumber

I have chosen to represent lumber with this shot. The district is responsible for the lumber that is shipped out to the Capital. While lumber has many uses, one of it's likely uses is for building! I'm showing that use in this photo, and showing my comfort and ability to manipulate the lumber that is used.

Milla Jovovich - District 3: Technology

District 3 is known as one of the districts of Panem that is mainly into technology such as manufacturing television, computers, phones and others.

In this shot there are 2 "robots" that I will be interacting with. Here I am presenting this shot to show my obsession with the "robots" in this shot to represent how critical technology is and I cannot live without it. Without technology we would all be catapulted into the dark ages and here I show the WANT AND NEED in my facial expression.

Avan Jogia - District 4: Fishing

I'm just a district 4 surfer who enjoys laying with wet hair outside the trailer where I live!! Life is as simple as counting shells around district four.

District 6 is all about Transportation, which fit perfect with my photoshoot, one set of transportation is a motorcycle, and here I'm really serving my take on being a biker chick but make it fierce.
