All the songs I've submitted thus far have been from one album, Goldenheart. In the interest of providing variety, this song is from Blackheart, an album which I've recently gained a greater appreciation for.

This is from her album Gaia, the whole album is actually underrated as this is the first album she starts to divert from mainstream pop. In this album and this song, she depicts herself as Gaia, the mother of Earth and is trying to tell the humans to protect the Earth by telling them how much destruction they have done to the environment.

The song makes reference to the fruit, usually of a bright red colour. The creator of the universe took special effort when creating the persimmon, hoping it to be an object of beauty.

Unfortunately, mankind do not share the same values. As inhabitants on this planet, we pollute; we waste; we destroy.

Eventually, the persimmon stops bearing fruit, and our planet becomes a wasteland occupied by scavenging crows. However, there may still be a slim chance left to the save the planet, as the last lines of the song suggest that there is still sunlight in the world.

Quick update: Tomorrow I’ll be going to a concert which will be around the same time this challenge shall end. I am planning on posting results but I’m either am gonna stay up and post before I go to bed, or I’ll wake up early and start my day. So results will be delayed a few extra hours than planned

Underrated song, but still she still got it. French people are very choosy when it comes to song. Plus, she made the song in the peek time of pop songs from other iconic singers. That’s why the songs is kind of rare.
