13) Bellah - ☕️ Oh this is that girl that collabbed on that one FLO song from that flop EP. This is really really nice! Her voice is so smooth, the backgrounds are heavenly, the guitar in the chorus is a super cool element in this. The beat is kinda simple but it’s all the other elements that kind of sell this for me. This is niceeeeeeeeee sounds *almost* like CTRL - SZA but with a different era of vintage than that album had. That was gorgeous whoa!

14) Syd, Smino - 🧃 I sent her (and rescinded it) the one week this album came out and I actually cared about this album before promptly forgetting it existed. This is nice! Smooth and stuff, the guitar melody line is nice. I honestly just don’t fully care about this so it’ll get juice but this is likely going to be the highest rated juice of the week. It’s a sound I like just has been done much better.

1. Stefanie Sun - The instrumentation on this is absolutely stunning, I’m sold, really good opener

3. Estratosfera - There are moments where this is almost a serve and then there’s a lot of time spent wishing I didn’t have ears

4. Paramore - Honestly I miss when Remi Wolf made fun music. What happened to the Juno era Remi? Give her back :(

5. ALIEN ALIEN - Nothing about this production really speaks to me, I’ve never been huge on the beep-boop instrumental. Also wish I hadn’t waited 2 minutes for them to start singing only to get the most incredibly mid performance I’ve heard in a while

6. Now, Now -  Ooooo this is nice actually. A bit longer than I’d like but I feel like the payoff of that breakdown kinda makes it worth the wait.

7. POOHUNNIT HD - JARED FROM BIG BROTHER? Damn, not only is he an awful BB player, he can’t even make a decent beat.

8. JENNIE - Oh this is so much worse than her last solo release. Who started this trend of bringing generic mid-2010s British dance production to kpop? I blame my nemesis Jeon Somi honestly.

9. Sufjan Stevens - I adore Javelin as an album with all my heart, but I feel like this is the wrong send? Goodbye Evergreen, Will Anybody Ever Love Me, My Little Red Fox, and There’s A World all outsell so hard, but this is still pretty gorgeous so I guess I can’t be too mad.

10. Omah Lay - This was nice! Short and sweet, love the beat.

11. Crosslegged - It’s a nice one-time listen, gives me Enya vibes in some parts. I can’t say I’ll ever come back to this though.

12. Crush - I’m really vibing with the instrumentation on this, but I don’t really like how it’s utilized? Like this arrangement could be used to make a much better song but it wasn’t

13. Bellah - Another track that’s really nice and vibey but doesn’t really do much to make me want to come back for another listen

21. Alameda - This was cute! Nothing revolutionary, but it’s a nice little tune

22. Hikaru Utada - Our nonbinary monarch coming to serve yet again. This honestly isn’t quite as strong as some of their other recent releases (and overstays its welcome by like a minute and a half) but my toes are still tapping. That breakdown halfway through is one of the most stunning moments I’ve heard in a song in the last few years
