02) Ava Max • Aged like milk. Not that I ever particularly liked it, but y’know. Never gonna like this, but that’s okay, because a lot of people do.
03) Demi Lovato • Don’t really know what to say about this, it’s nice, the message is better than the song itself.
04) Jenifer • This is nowhere near as good as I remember it being, but it’s cute I guess. Being in French may help it stand out a little more.
05) The Faim • This kind of thing was done so much last year that it’s become more difficult for me to really be impressed by it. Decent, but not great.
06) K/DA • Wouldn’t be surprised if this got the win tbh. Wouldn’t be mad either, it’s still a bop.
07) Sultan + Shepard • This has a good first time impact but other than her voice the song’s a bit unremarkable revisiting it.

09) Emeli Sande • Queen. Definitely not her best, but not her best is still pretty damn good.
10) Within Temptation • Still absolutely brilliant. The instrumentation to this is EVERYTHING.

14) Grace Carter • S T U N N I N G. Flawless. Gorgeous song, has not left my playlist since it appeared in TSC.
15) Gabrielle • At least I can say it’s everyone’s favourite OTT Norwegian rave song of the year… right? Doesn’t have a hope in hell in this semi.
16) Delia • This semi is really gooood. Really into the whole vibe of this, the chorus is great too.
17) Dua Lipa • One of the better non-singles from her album, but then there are only like 3 of those left anyway. Forgettable.
18) Sara Jo • I forgot how hard this went off too… deserved better in the real contest. The production on this is brilliant.
19) Black Honey • I’m digging this more than I thought I would. It’s quite subtle, if not a little forgettable, an enjoyable listen.
20) Lauren Aquilina • Absolutely gorgeous but has no chance of making it through.
21) Che'Nelle • Good voice, okay song. Wasn’t into it as much as I probably should’ve been.
22) The Driver Era • Better than I remember it being, but not hugely my thing. Falls a little flat after a good chorus.
23) Panic! At The Disco • I get it, I don’t particularly like it. Gets a bit irritating after a while.
24) JoJo • Another one that was better than I remember, can’t say I love it but it’s pretty good.
25) Faouzia • SUCH A GROWER. Vocally amazing, really like the instrumentation, love love love.
26) Carpark North • Not as keen on this now, their vocals are the main thing putting me off. Good chorus, the rest is okay.
27) Ida Maria • Iconic. <3 Seriously catchy even though it’s complete trash.
28) Mikolas Josef • Czech Republic I’m so sorry sweetie. I think I said before that I preferred this to Lie to Me. I would like to retract that statement, this is somehow worse.

01) Mimoza – I remember this being a clear favourite from the contest. Strong from start to finish, magical and nearly perfection.

02) Ava Max – Arek didn’t even remember that he had entered this. I spoke about this a few weeks after he won with it and I was like ‘You entered it in TSC!!!’ and he was like ‘Did I?’ lol One of the best songs from 2018 period.

03) Demi Lovato – This is beautiful and honesly is just so sincere and raw. Stunning.

04) Jenifer – Sexy accent, I love the verses. The chorus is a little pitchy, but the whole thing is fine. :d

05) The Faim – A fantastic chorus that lifts the whole thing up. Very enjoyable. :D

06) K/DA – This shouldn’t work on paper, but it just does. I love (G)I-DLE and everyone here is great. This was a great year for League of Legend theme tunes as both of them got 2nd haha :p

07) Sultan + Shepard – Easily one of my favourite songs ever from TSC, so totally in my taste range. Low raspy voice, great progression, great instrumental…everything is stunnnnnnnnn :)

08) CupcakKe – Not my favourite by her, but she’s going to get first one day. :p

09) Emeli Sande – Not her best, but it’s pretty all the same. It sounds a little stilted in places, but also magical at the same time. :p

10) Within Temptation – One of my favourite songs of the year. It just sounds so anthemic…just stunnnnn This contest had two of my favourite entries of the year and their both here in this contest…fuck my life how am I going to vote?

11) VIOLINA – Lol at this being entered in the best of. You’re all welcome for me introducing you all to this messy masterpiece haha. :p I mean I think it’s probably one of the most iconic entries ever in ESCT. :p

12) R3HAB x THRDL!FE – Interesting. I liked it, but it feels a little messy for a best of contest haha :p But the build to the chorus is great :D

13) Frenship – This deinied Violina of the win…easily the most iconic contest of the year. I really like this too…The chorus is sublime. I’m so glad Rick decided to submit it even though he didn’t messge Alex haha. :p :) Stun.

14) Grace Carter – I had a real touch choice between this and Alice Chater, I love both songs but I thought this was slightly more original. I love it of course. Stun.

15) Gabrielle – This is an interesting choice Alexeh. :p The chorus does sound really anthemic. :)

16) Delia – Dallas nearly won last year? :O This is fine, chorus is pretty strong.

17) Dua Lipa – lol at this song being sent. This does show off her vocal though and it’s a lot better than I remember. Henna hates her so much, ever since that time she hosted and 5 million people tried submitting her haha :p

18) Sara Jo – Parts of this sound fantastic. Other sound so strange…Overall I like it I think, I really enjoyed the dark vibe to it. :)

19) Black Honey – I enjoyed this actually, a surprise as I had forgotten that this existed lol :p

20) Lauren Aquilina – She has some mini bangers, but this isn’t one of them. It’s pretty but it doesn’t really go anywhere for me, even with the step up in pace it is just a little passive.

21) Che'Nelle – Sultry and sexy, a great voice and I hope this does well here as it is gorgeous.

22) The Driver Era – Yeah I enjoyed this, I’m not sure if it stands out here like some of the other winners, but it’s fine. :D

23) Panic! At The Disco – I mean it’s OK, but I have never really gotten into this. Maybe it’s the fact that it was entered in TSC and then BETA one week later and then it was repeatedly played on the radio haha. :p

24) JoJo – I’m so glad she got out of the awful contract :) Enjoyable. :)

25) Faouzia – Stunnnnnnnnn….easily my favourite song by her. Interesting, unique and flawless. I wish I could sing like her…so much soul.

26) Carpark North – This is fine. I had forgotten this, so it was nice to listen to it again haha. Sandra’s voice is gorgeous. :) They mix well, but they do battle against those overbearing backing music.

27) Ida Maria – The messy Melo Grand Prix, the messiest bit is her moaning noises haha. I suppose it’s joyful.

28) Mikolas Josef – In full this sounds really good, but in a 25 second highlight it doesn’t sound as good (ESCT reference). This is one of the more iconic entries of this year and I prefer this over his Eurovision song…I don’t like the blah blah blah bits though haha :p

1.        Mimoza “Love For Days” – Pretty good song, don’t know how it will hold up against the songs coming but it’s a nice listen.
2.        Ava Max “Sweet But Psycho” – I’m so glad this got to number 1 in the UK, this is such a good song. Loves it.
3.        Demi Lovato “Sober” – This is still a very emotional song from her.
4.        Jenifer “Paradis Secret” – This song has a nice feel to it and I like the guitars and her smooth voice.
5.        The Faim “Summer Is A Curse” – The video may make it seem like a better song than it is, but I enjoyed listening to it.
6.        K/DA “POP/STARS (feat. Madison Beer, (G)I-DLE, Jaira Burns)” – UGH do I have to listen to this again?... Ok well that was painful, how this got 2nd is beyond me.
7.        Sultan + Shepard “Damn (feat. Red Rosamond)” – I really enjoy her voice and at parts she sounds a bit like Anastacia. Fun song.
8.        CupcakKe “Duck Duck Goose” – QUEEN! Lyrics are iconic. Deserves to make it to the final
9.        Emeli Sande “Breathing Underwater” – Love her and this song, she has such a great voice.
10.        Within Temptation “The Reckoning (feat. Jacoby Shaddix)” – I love this as well, this is definitely my type of music. Robbed of a win in its TSC.
11.        VIOLINA “Me Calientas (feat. Emily J & Meriam Bosa)” – I really enjoy the violins but some of the singing and rapping parts put me off a bit, not sure if I like this or not.
12.        R3HAB x THRDL!FE “Wrong Move (feat. Olivia Holt)” – I really enjoyed this song, it gave me katy b for some reason, not sure why.
13.        Frenship “1000 Nights” – How this won is beyond me, I found it so dull and forgettable.
14.        Grace Carter “Why Her Not Me” – This reminds me of something but I’m not sure what, this was a fairly enjoyable song with a strong chorus.
15.        Gabrielle “Mellom Skyene” – It starts off a bit slow and boring but it surely takes off around the 1 minute mark.
16.        Delia “Du-te-ma” – Well this was an experience! I liked it!
17.        Dua Lipa “Garden” – We all make choices, but this was a choice. It just sounds like album filler.
18.        Sara Jo “Lava” – Not sure what to make of this, it has all the elements that would make me like it but it’s not clicking with me for some reason.
19.        Black Honey “I only hurt the ones I love” – Love this song, it gives me red dead redemption vibes. One of my top played songs of 2018.
20.        Lauren Aquilina “Ocean” – Possibly a song that can grow on you if you listen to it enough. A bit dry but it does have potential
21.        Che'Nelle “Criminal” – She has a great voice and the chorus is powerful but I’m not sure if this is something I would return to.
22.        The Driver Era “Preacher Man” – Very interesting song and he has a great voice
23.        Panic! At The Disco “High Hopes” – lol you can’t escape this song, it is a bop though.
24.        JoJo “Vibe” – Nothing really stands out in this for me, sounds a bit generic. Not a bad listen though.
25.        Faouzia “This Mountain” – This was better than I remember it being.
26.        Carpark North “32 (feat. Sandra Nasic)” – I enjoy this, I wish it was stronger but it is a good song.
27.        Ida Maria “Scandilove” – I love her song “I like you so much better when you’re naked”, this song is a bit of a mess but I enjoyed it.
28.        Mikolas Josef “Me Gusta” – This is such a good song, I’ll be shocked if this doesn’t make it through.

01) Mimoza – Straight away the music makes me want to jump up and down being insanely good and her vocals are also a gem and I very much adore this.
02) Ava Max – This is such a grower on me and now I am very much addicted to it with it being very catchy and did I say that I can’t get enough of it.
03) Demi Lovato – She got such a sweet voice but then the whole song doesn’t grab me and feels very much dead on arrival and I’m just not into it.
04) Jenifer – This is one catchy French bop that is instantly recognisable from that first second and I love love LOVE her voice that makes it such an underrated gem.
05) The Faim – It started off well and then the problem was that it kept going and I got less and less invested with the same beat.
06) K/DA – Nope their vocals are already a buzzkill being all over the place and the music is not in that level as everyone else.
07) Sultan + Shepard – When she started singing I just fell in love with her vocals being fantastic and then the song certainly backs it up with an insane beat.
08) CupcakKe – Yeah I still don’t like her vocals one bit and this song has already got on my nerves with those random noises and I consider this more porn than music.
09) Emeli Sande – Sing baby sing it out with how I admire the epic music and her glorious music making this a great anthem to listen to.
10) Within Temptation – The music tries to stand out but it fails and then gets annoying really fast and gives me a headache and the same applies to the singers.
11) VIOLINA – I love a cheerful song and this already got me in a good mood and the music is the real highlight and makes me admire it more.
12) R3HAB x THRDL!FE – Well to be fair I like this with the music standing out more than expected and her singing is unique and admirable.
13) Frenship – His voice is strong and I just kept on liking the tune more and more and is a good little song to listen to when you have nothing to do.
14) Grace Carter – She has a great voice but the rest is very much a borefest and I’m already gone and wanting to listen to what is next.
15) Gabrielle – People would consider this a dance track but I call it a big waste of time with the music being horrific and I just want it to stop to save my life.
16) Delia – Wow, this gets repetitive too quickly and then becomes so boring that I am waiting for it to be over and will it ever end.
17) Dua Lipa – Finally she gives us a show with her vocals are simply to die for and I am in the moment and never want to leave.
18) Sara Jo – What am I even watching and her singing is on a different planet of bad with the rapping not working one bit.
19) Black Honey – The music I am instantly hooked on tapping my feet along and she got a nice vocal and the only negative is the chorus being a let-down.
20) Lauren Aquilina – Okay this tries and be gentle and nice but all I’m thinking is I don’t want to hear anymore with it being boring and nothing else.
21) Che'Nelle – You are awesome as a singer delivering this song making me want to clap for how you are the driving force and I love it.
22) The Driver Era – YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for bringing this song back because I love it from the bottom of my heart being catchy and very memorable and is one of the few songs I listen to daily.
23) Panic! At The Disco – Yeah I don’t care for this with his vocals being iffy and the music very melodramatic and it all doesn’t work.
24) JoJo – The beat is already a no no and I hate it with her not delivering it well and it all could have been better than that.
25) Faouzia – I want to be honest, this is my least favourite of her songs with how it is not that memorable and I’m still not that interested in it being overrated.
26) Carpark North – The instrumentals are bring the energy in and the singers are not bad and are just doing their job in delivering a track.
27) Ida Maria – Now this is an underrated bop being so iconic and to be fair teaches me scandilove and is very much catchy in its own right.
28) Mikolas Josef – Well I love the beat being very unique and he can certainly sell a song and is a very characteristic singer who could do anything.

16. Delia - Feels a little one note, but it’s a cute listen. Got me head nodding a bit.
17. Dua Lipa - It’s such a pretty and raw song from here. I love her and I love this song.\
18. Sara Jo - I forgot how HARD this song went. I could see it being a black sheep in this contest. Or maybe not who knows but either way I am here for this.
19. Black Honey - It builds quite nicely towards the end. It’s not bad.
20. Lauren Aquilina - This ballad ain’t doing it for me, I’m afraid.
21. Che’Nelle - Great buildup from verse to chorus. This went off.
22. The Driver Era - Had a nice feel good vibe to it. It was an innocent lil listen
23. Panic! at the Disco - Maybe it’s because it plays on the radio all the time still, but I feel like this song has lost a little bit of its magic since I first heard it. I still enjoy it now, but just not as much as I used to.
24. JoJo - Really enjoying newer JoJo. This song is a solid bop.
25. Faouzia - It builds up nicely. Feels like it ends a little too soon, wish it had maybe like 30 more seconds or so. It’s still quite solid though.
26. Carpark North - Quite a hard pass for me, I’m afraid.
27. Ida Maria - Well thank God the last two songs were awful because I wanna give so many songs points.
28. Mikolas Josef - Actually wasn’t here for this contest, but I remember so many people calling this song the obvious winner. I’m sure this would score decent points from me in a regular contest but this is sounding painfully average in this contest.

01) Mimoza - 'Love For Days' I think this won the contest I've missed. It's ok, catchy and rythmatic, a little stopped at the chorus, but it will go through without any problem.
02) Ava Max - 'Sweet But Psycho' Best up-tempo entry from 2018 in TSC in my opinion, it's very appealing.
03) Demi Lovato - 'Sober' Kinda sweet, but also weak, not memorable at all.
04) Jenifer - 'Paradis Secret' No chance to qualify, but this is great, totally for my tastes.
05) The Faim - 'Summer Is A Curse' It's ok, didn't tell me too much, pretty dreary.
06) K/DA - 'POP/STARS (feat. Madison Beer, (G)I-DLE, Jaira Burns)' Lot of energy. Not horrible, but not for my tastes.
07) Sultan + Shepard - 'Damn (feat. Red Rosamond)' I remember not giving this points and then wondered why. I still do, it's very good, vocally and quite unique.
08) CupcakKe - 'Duck Duck Goose' Last time I commented on this people got upset, so I'll abstain this time. I guess people know my opinion.
09) Emeli Sande - 'Breathing Underwater' It's a pleasant song, pretty far from her expectations, but it's ok. She's a great singer, both vocally and usually with good songs.
10) Within Temptation - 'The Reckoning (feat. Jacoby Shaddix)' I remember I was pretty upset when AquaMarine sent this before me. It's kinda standing out very much, kinda commercial, so that's why it is successful.
11) VIOLINA - 'Me Calientas (feat. Emily J & Meriam Bosa)' It's original and the styles are combined to sound well here. After listening to it so much I can't say I'm so glad to hear it now, but it didn't bother me by anything.
12) R3HAB x THRDL!FE - 'Wrong Move (feat. Olivia Holt)' A 13th place entered, normally that's respectable. Too bad the song isn't. Olivia looks great though.
13) Frenship - '1000 Nights' So Alexito is participating 2 or 3 times a year and still wins more contests than me. Very good song, it could have done it without the disco instrumental though.
14) Grace Carter - 'Why Her Not Me' Pretty monotone, didn't reach any interesting moment.
15) Gabrielle - 'Mellom Skyene' A lot of trashy noise, pretty annoying.
16) Delia - 'Du-te-ma' A cool vibe and a nice mix of instruments. Very pervert, maybe the most I've ever sent.
17) Dua Lipa - 'Garden' It tries to go from a slow-tempo to build into something, but it goes all of a sudden and never reaches a great impact. Pretty banal in the end, like most of her singles.
18) Sara Jo - 'Lava' I remember this, I was way more excited about it last time, this time it didn't give me any special feeling.
19) Black Honey - 'I Only Hurt The Ones I Love' A nice vibe overall, pleasant listen, promising more, but it was ok.
20) Lauren Aquilina - 'Ocean' Pretty nice, it explodes all of a sudden, but doesn't bring anything memorable.
21) Che'Nelle - 'Criminal' Quite smooth, I don't know why nothing impresses me today cause the song is good. Maybe a little too long.
22) The Driver Era - 'Preacher Man' I remember enjoying this so much last time. It's ok, but doesn't stand out too much between all this entries.
23) Panic! At The Disco - 'High Hopes' As I always say, not their best, but enjoyable enough.
24) JoJo - 'Vibe' I can get some appeal there, but nothing I would necessarily want to relisten. I prefer the old JoJo.
25) Faouzia - 'This Mountain' A great vocalist singing a powerful full of energy song is something really welcome right now.
26) Carpark North - '32 (feat. Sandra Nasic)' Good voices and so much power in this song, the rythm is also nice. Great entry!
27) Ida Maria - 'Scandilove' Very cheap but also very effective, is catchy as hell.
28) Mikolas Josef - 'Me Gusta' Overrated as hell, I'm not a fan at all. Shitty way to end a good show.

Mimoza ~ She’s so pretty! It’s not quite a *magical* song for me, but it’s quirky and cute, can definitely see why it won. Very enjoyable on the whole.
Ava Max ~ Definitely a fun song but it’s probably starting to saturate for many now... me included xD I still do like it though.
Demi Lovato ~ It isn’t my usual thing but it’s super raw and my god, I respect her.
Jenifer ~ Nice enough listen but I think it lacks the OOMPH to go to the final. I don’t think I’m going to remember much about it.
The Faim ~ Bit of a Panic! warm up here. I really love the chorus in this, no complaints from me, great song!
K/DA ~ It’s a little overproduced and crazy in parts yet amazingly I can’t hate this xD The chorus is the highlight, for sure.
Sultan & Shepard ~ A bit formulaic, but it’s definitely grown on me still since first listen. Really like her vocal.
CupcakKe ~ ... I just fail to grasp how people find enjoyment in shit like this. In my top 5 worst of the year with her other entries, PrincessVitarah’s songs, etc. Dreadful.
Emeli Sandé ~ Very gorgeous song, great vocal as per. Not sure if it’s enough to be *WINNER* material for me but it’s still a choon.
Within Temptation ~ FUCKING EPIC. Love everything about this especially the female vocal. Get In Eurovision, guys.
VIOLINA ~ The ironic thing is I really think the ‘me calientes’ part slightly cheapens what is a serious dark horse of an entry for me. The lead vocalist has such a sweet voice and of course I love the violin(a). Great song but didn’t need some of the elements.
REHAB x THRDLIFE ~ It’s a fine song but generic enough that I’ve heard many like. Unsure how it’ll measure up, but there’s nothing particularly negative I can say about it. I do like her gravelly vocal.
Frenship ~ I hope you’re able to vote, Alexito! This is a FAB song, one of my favourite winners of the year, and it has an ethno-pop done VERY right, feel. (Sorry, FAUN!)
Grace Carter ~ Such incredible vocals and songwriting from one so young. I mean I really relate, too which may or may not help! :( solid song.
Gabrielle ~ I needed a cheer-up song after the last one, and fair play it happened! Very much enjoy most EDM this being no exception, gurl snapped.
Delia ~ 326 wouldn’t happened to have been a Languages week, would it? Idk, I was away, I missed it all :P Gave me Gaga vibes, REALLY liked the whole flow of this one.
Dua Lipa ~ Far from her best, but her vocal does make anything sound good. There’s a song from the album I’m keen to use too.
Sara Jo ~ Blimey so sassy and so angsty, quite liked this one, BUT I must admit I was a little bored by the 2nd verse. A grower of a song, though.
Black Honey ~ Liked this when it was entered, still do now. Giving me 90s indie vibes, and like with the last song, very sassy.
Lauren Aquilina ~ It epitomises singer/songwriter but I’m glad it at least built into something! A nicely dark song but a little dismal I must admit.
Che’Nelle ~ Her voice is soo good, but I failed to feel much of a connection to the song, besides the chorus. May fall by the wayside for me but we’ll see.
The Driver Era ~ More like it! Kind of long, but I loved the beats and the whole feel of this. One of the better winners this year.
Panic! At The Disco ~ Gotta have high high hopes of the final 🤷🏻‍♀️ I like it.
JoJo ~ Not at all the production I come to expect from her. Love the beat but I didn’t think her voice was THAT strong in holding it. Not bad at all though.
Faouzia ~ She has such a unique tone in her voice, and this song is easily her superior winner. Very fascinating song with a different-sounding beat, im into it.
Carpark North ~ I remember this, really good duet overall. I’d say the female vocal is superior and is what seals the song, but they mesh well together. Pretty damn good.
