Moderation Suggestion

May 3, 2017 by ztalker2002
SUMMARY: (Three parts)

- Have an odd number of moderators (3 or 5). Moderators are the enforcers of the rules. Their names are known to the public
- Have a "E-Veto" person: Emergency Veto
- Randomize should check from time to time.

A) Moderators
- 3 or 5 moderators
- Names are publicly announced
- Preferred at different time zones

- Roles:
> Enforcing rules
> Settle arguments (hence the odd numbers)

- Powers:
> Banning / Execution of punishments
> If the situation brings confusion to the rule, the odd number of moderators must discuss within themselves on what to do and have a majority rule.
> Suggestion of new-rules as the site evolves.

- Reporting Process
> As previous before.
> Suggestion: No extreme punishment (as banning) without notification. Exception: Porn and Multi

- Highlighted rules
> The whole "same-IP" / multi should be AUTOMATIC.
> Players of the same household MUST inform moderation before logging on.
> Players may appeal if they feel their same-IP punishment is unjust.

B) Emergency Veto (E-Veto)
> The most trusted person or with easy contact to randomize
> Name unbeknownst to Tengaged.
> Account name: @EVeto or something
> If possible to program, IP address of the person should remain hidden to the moderators / tengaged community.

Sole Power:
- Remove any "abusive" moderators

Removal Process:

(i) Moderator to Moderator - one of the moderators feel like the another is being abusive. Report to EVeto - state your case properly and clearly. The remaining moderators (excluding accuser and accused) should weigh-in.

Process: EVeto immediately suspends the accused. EVeto must contact Randomize for a decision. If the accused is guilty, remove him from moderation board. If the accused is not guilty, accuser must issue an apology and the accused is back on the moderation board.

(ii) People of Tengaged vs Moderator

- If class-action (a group of tengagers): Mail simultaneously to EVeto. EVeto MUST look into it and reply with a decision if ample evidence is given.
Process: If there is enough evidence, accused is immediately suspended. EVeto will talk to Randomize for a decision. If found guilty, removal of moderator. If not-guilty, the accusers are "black-listed" as wolf-callers and a second offence may lead to a ban.

- If a single tengager: If you think you have enough evidence of abuse, gather a few friends or talk to another moderator.

- If BioDork experience; Immediate removal.

C) Randomize

- EVeto will regularly contact him so he may log in once in a while.
- Moderators will submit new rules to him. It is ONLY a new rule if randomize posts about it (Being here for a long time, I realize the excessive new rules personally made by moderators without randomize caused a lot of confusion to a lot tengagers)

FAR-FETCH idea, but putting this out here:
If Randomize can program a way to ALERT him when a BioDork experience is happening, it will be swell. (Example: Like a button we could all press and if a lot of us is pressing it at a specific time-frame, it will send him a message, a call or something - HAHAHA)

Questions:

1) What if EVeto becomes abusive?
- Consider it a BioDork experience.

2) What if all the moderators is in cahoots with the EVeto?
- If abusive moderators are not removed and Tengaged feels that way - it should be considered a BioDork Experience. Program something randomize so we can tell you.

3) How do we select moderators?
- Up to randomize

4) What if I am banned and I want to complain about an abusive moderator?
- Contact a friend to inform EVeto in your behalf.
