Have you ever walked down the middle of a street? Not on the side walk or to the side of a road. Walking down a road that has been blocked off for a race or something doesn't count either. I'm talking about a road where a car may come down any minute. It's quite liberating. So much more pleasing than walking on the side walk. It feels like you are actually carving your own path, kind of like the old days when cars didn't dominate our streets. One should try this. Just make sure the road doesn't have too many cars to the point where it is dangerous and make sure it is a straight road so you can see a car when it is coming, and make sure the speed limit is also low enough.
Call me sexist if you like, but if I married, I would want a wife that cooks. Going to high school, I realize that girls these days don't know how to cook, they just know how to bake. They don't hang around the kitchen with ol' mom anymore learning the family recipes. I feel like the good days of mom's delicious home cooking are going to be over by the time my generation finally reaches typical marrying age. I feel like my generation will make mom's scrumptious home cooked meals a myth and that I won't come home and be able to eat those great recipes that have been perfected and passed down for generations; rather, I would be eating hamburger helper than chicken pot pies. It's not so much that girls won't be cooking and housewives, but it's just sad to see all these delicious family dishes fade away from our culture, while being replaced with substitutes made by giant companies. I figure my solution is learning to cook. Watch out world! I'm about to join the masses of amateur cooks out there.
