It's the first day of 2016, and to brighten your mood, I'm providing you the list of the biggest TSC stinkers of 2015.
Notes:
- All songs sent in TSC between 189 to 225 are eligible
- This is based on my personal opinion. Please do not take any offense from what I think of. Strictly my own thoughts
- Contrary to some weird belief, I don't believe that my music taste is better than anyone else's. This list is for you all to have some fun and laugh at possible comments I make
- If you want more stinkers, there will be a dishonorable mentions list just for you to entertain yourself even more
Let's start!
15. Laing - Zeig Deine Muskeln
Sent in TSC201 by #TolisKalkas, finished 18th with 38 points.
Let's start off with a song that is supposed to have a fast pace, but ends up being a tedious mash of underproduced layers of background track. She sounds quite bored during the verses, but usually all is forgiven when the song hits the chorus, but instead of a power-up that the music should have, the song stays at the very same dimension making this already dull song even more bland than it should be. Keep in mind that this was sent in the Eurovision-themed contest, and sending a foreign song with such little quality is, at least to me, considered a waste of a spot.
14. Mz 007 - Important
Sent in TSC215 by #TolisKalkas, finished 7th with 65 points.
Tolis starts off very well on this list by having the first two entries right here. The irony points for this entry propelled this song into the top 10, and it's probably the highest-charting ironic entry of the 2015, but it doesn't change the fact that this song is a terrible excuse of a rap song. The typical background track for half-done hip-hop songs is actually the smallest issue, what really grants me is the fact how idiotic the lyrics are. As #Patrick319 said, "I can fix fat, but I can't fix this song."
13. Fjokra - Get Amongst It
Sent in TSC209 by #Tepr, finished 14th with 37 points.
This song doesn't sound too bad during the verses. The whispery-alike singing is actually quite intriguing and the bridge to the chorus is actually pretty haunting. Everything sounds like it is going to go somewhere awesome, and then the chorus happens and I'm just like "nope." The complete nonsense that happened during the most important part of the song was enough for me to ruin a supposedly decent entry, to the point that it landed a spot on the worst-list. This should show you the importance of a chorus in TSC entries.
I wasn't here for these and I have a feeling Imma be on this list. ^_^
For fun, here's my opinion of these three:
Laing - I like it. It's fun, peppy and it's in German so I automatically have an affinity for it. Probably would have got points from me, depending on the other entries.
Oh and I hope we get a theme like that again. :D Sounds fun!
Mz 007 - First, what is the name? Em-Zee? Em-Zed? Mzzzz? And 007, is she a spy?
But this song...wow...can I make this my new theme song? Whenever I walk in a room, just play this song! "Bitch, I'm important!" I love it. It's so cringeworthy, it makes me smile. XD I may have given it points just for fun. XD
Fjokra - That didn't go how I expected it to go! I like the video; it's creepy in all the right ways, like it's weird but not unwatchable, it's rather captivating. The song at the beginning was interesting but then the organs arrived then BAM! It's a rock song! Or alternative, I dunno genres. But I loved it and definitely would have given this points, depending on the other entries. :)
