The 20 players Casting games have a bad algo and will always be the worst game to enroll in. For example, two of the three people safe here are 1 day ago and 2 days ago: http://www.tengaged.com/game/8747
This would never happen in a rookies, as the algo in now near perfect and algo noms are usually those that are the most inactive.
In addition to this, 5 of the 20 people in that game have the "Default avatar" and its very unlikely they are "New to this site".
To conclude, there is still a lot of work randomize has to do to make the algo operate fairly in this type of game, and 20 player Castings were always a bad idea from the very start. Bring back the old 10 player Castings! (For those of you that remember them)

I agreee. I just got nominated in my castings where as I had been talking for around 8 hours that day and other people came on and talked in the last 5 minutes. I was nominated and the people that came on in the last second are safe. Hmph.
Agreed ~ unfortunately negging can put active people on a lower priority than dead inactives, which isn't really fair... the unpredictability is why I don't often play casting
The Rookies algo is not perfect. lol
It does mess up a few times here and there, in one game a while ago I was HOH and nommed two people who were smei active and figured the algo would choose one of the two players who hadn't been online in 22 hours or 23 hours as the algo nom... it didn't. It algoed a player who was only gone for about 6 hours, and gave the veto to the player who was gone for 23 hours!
In a recent game, the player who was nommed by the algo also got the veto.. I thought veto was random of the top 3 active?
Either way, occassionally the algo is gonna mess up.. but you can't do much about it.. :(
