I haven't really been on this website in years. Is it still active?
I am a software engineer and am wondering if there would be interest in an updated game similar to Tengaged but well moderated, more modern, etc.
It would be a big project that would take a while, but if there would be serious interest in it then I would consider doing it.
If anybody has suggestions, for how to make the website better (other than obvious things like more moderation and necessary maintenance) then definitely leave a comment below or DM me.
For the love of god yes. The site still holds a pretty special place for me but for the love of god the way it is now is no place to be active in anymore.
I don't wanna use a better version of tengaged I wanna use this version where there are 500 active users and they are forced to read my birdwatching blogs
I would actually love to see a new Game like The Challenge or even like an actual simulation game of Big Brother/Survivor. It would be a lot of work but I believe in you
the group games are the best feature of this site and there is nothing really set up to make it better than just using discord or skype. It'd be cute to keep it all "in house". make it "THE place to go to host ORGs" and bring in all those interesting people out there who detest the toxicity of tengaged.
A "fog of war" feature could be interesting, where people could become anonymized upon entering games. I could see it being abused, but hey, maybe someone could think of a way to prevent that.
I see a lot of people demanding new games, but I would bet a lot of money that no matter how much effort went into developing and implementing the games, people wouldn't be satisfied and would get bored of them very quickly. I guess I'd suggest many simple games and prioritizing variety over actual effort? LOL.
The biggest possible draw for me would have to be a hope that there could be an alternative community which caters to adults. Like, that would be super. I would love to be myself without worrying about normalizing behavior for people who aren't ready for all that.
