1) After a virtual training, the male instructor sent me a private TEAMS message telling me he was sorry for “picking on me” so much. Then proceeded to send me his personal phone number if I ever wanted to “talk”. He also told me that it wasn’t often he had “eye candy” in the classes he teaches.
2) I go to court a lot for work. There’s a (usually) really nice older man who I work with on a lot of cases. He works for another agency, though. We saw each other today and politely chatted. On the way home, he texted me to tell me he wasn’t “grooming” me or anything. He just wanted me to know he appreciates me and that he’s not hitting on me because he’s got kids older than me. He just wants to be my “court daddy”.
3) had a situation where I had to serve a warrant to inspect a home. The police sergeant came because the road officers were confused about what to do. The sergeant was appropriate and friendly until the end of our meeting. He slid me his card and said “text me when y’all leave so I know you’re safe”. So I used my coworkers phone to text him because my work phone was almost dead. My coworker called me after we separated and let me know the cop wanted ME to use the number so he had my number- not hers.
the cop one confuses me and makes me cringe, the court daddy one FUCKING FLOORS ME, sorry these happened to you professional men can be fucking terrible.
nathandamnit in my text to the cop on my coworkers phone I said “hey it’s jane from where I work, we are good thanks for your help”. He replied back and said “is this my last name” and she said no it’s jane. He replied and said “tell my last name to use the number instead”
