Slow casting...

It's fun to contrast fastings with week-long castings.
Fastings are fun because they go by very fast and you can play a lot of them very easily and meet a lot of different people.
Castings are nice because you have a long time to chat and get to know people.

I really value how much I bonded with the people in my first casting that just finished. (Well...at least as much as you can bond with strangers over the internet...)

I really enjoy being new to this site because I'm very underestimated. When the game began, others in the game told me that finals would be too hard to make because of the experience and activeness of everyone in the casting. I told them that I could do it and I did.

The thing I don't like about slow castings though is that there is minimal strategy involved. How well you do in the game centers around how much you spam on the public comments and wait for keys to appear. It was frustrating because those who had more time to sit on thier computers all day are the ones who did better. Strategy and alliances meant almost nothing.

I'm really looking forward to playing my first rookies. It should be an active group and involve more work than simply sitting on my computer spamming the forum.

I agree and disagree... I was on the computer a lot less than you, taylor and Jacob and I got 2nd lol
However I think slow castings is nice because for a newer player they can ask questions and become familiarized with the site. If fastings was the only option all you would type and see is good luck, congrats and non sense spam.
Slow castings also gives people the opportunity to practice challenges. I think if slow castings were not here many newer players would not continue to play on this site.
So basically slow castings is more to build relationships. This site is entitled a social networking gaming site, so slow castings contribute to the social aspect.
