---
Jeff: Previously on...Survivor! After the first Tribal Council, Malevu tried to unify together. Some of Chris’ behavior rubbed the tribe the wrong way, especially Jonathan, who’s crafty mind put Chris in his crosshairs. After a reward challenge, a victory that left fishing gear in the hands of Malevu but they did not find a way to put it to use. Back at Yasawa, Dominic started looking for the Hidden Immunity Idol, but when Elanina walked in on him, he used it to form an alliance with her, but Elanina was left with a weird taste in her mouth. After Yasawa won immunity for the second straight time, a confrontation about burned fish left two people in danger of being voted off from Malevu. And in an unanimous vote, Nixon was voted off to ease the tensions in the group. Sixteen are left, who will be voted out tonight?
---
Malevu: Night 6
---
*castaways come home from Tribal Council*

Sofia sets her torch down.

Sofia (confessional): What can I say? Nixon had it coming. He was a dead man walking as soon as he got on this beach. No one was gonna let him make it far in the game.

Chris: How about that vote guys? Unanimous. I like that tribe unity.

Redmond: It was just his time to go, that’s all there is to it. (confessional): I wasn’t unaware to how annoyed the tribe was with Nixon, I think it showed tonight with the entire tribe voting him out. I think it shows how you act with people have their consequences. It’s the exact line I’m trying to float, keeping on the good side of the tribe, and avoiding the vote.

Jonathan (confessional): Voting out Nixon wasn’t something I wanted to do. I personally got along with him and have a tremendous amount of respect for him. The tribe decided and for my own game, went with it to avoid breaking rank. If I voted with Nix, I could’ve easily been outed as a target. Now, the game is a little more open, and I wanna see if I can open a few more doors.
--
Day 7: Malevu
--
Matt (confessional): I would be lying to say that morale wasn’t a little low at Camp Malevu. We’ve been struggling to win immunity challenges and we’ve paid for it by voting out two people. I don’t want to lose anymore people. It’s hard enough surviving on our own here, but if we keep losing people, we might as well count ourselves out of this thing.
--
Redmond and Sirena tend to the small fire.

Dania: How much rice are we eating today?

Redmond: Probably just a couple of spoonfuls. We have to make this last the entire game.

Dania (confessional): Survivor is real. The lack of food leads to being lethargic, and then you have physical challenges when your body is tired, and you have mental challenges when your mind is the same as it was a week ago. It’s getting a little tougher now. I think we’re all starting to feel it.

*camera pans to Chris doing pushups on the beach*

Chris (confessional): I’m loving life right now. I have all the time in the world to work out and tan. It may sound a little vain, but this is a dream. I want to stay here until the end. I will put in the work. I will do whatever it takes. It’s the only way I know how.
-
Day 7: Yasawa
-
Jamar is curled up in the shelter at not moving.

Jamar (confessional): I don’t know what it is, but I think I either caught a stomach bug or something like that. I’m just slow-moving, keep almost throwing up but nothing’s coming out. I’m a bit miserable right now. I expected to have all this energy and to help my tribe win, and play the game until Day 39. But right now, it’s just tough. I’ve never been this weak in my life. I’ve had coaches yell at me and run me into the ground with drills and a week in the bush with nothing but rice and coconut is really affecting me on a deep level right now. I hope my tribe still considers me an asset cause I don’t want to go home.

Tanner (confessional): It’s tough to see Jamar down right now. Everyone on the tribe adores him. He’s got a great spirit, always smiling, always got a joke to tell. It’s a little dark for Yasawa right now. I hope Jamar feels better soon.
-
Brooke and Dominic are sitting in camp talking and laughing.

Brooke: I bet the girls are all over you back at home.

Dominic: Actually, I’m gay.

Brooke: What! I never would’ve guessed.

Dominic: Yeah, I don’t usually tell people. I only tell when they ask me or if a situation comes up that needs to me to admit something like that. But my business is my business. It’s how I’ve always lived.

Brooke: Oh my god! Like I’m shocked right now. My best friend back home is gay. Maybe I should set y’all up when we get home. I think you’d get along pretty well.

Dominic: Maybe. I’m single and ready to mingle.

Brooke (confessional): Dominic opening up to me and telling me he was gay was a big step for him in the game. I feel more trusting to him now, and Dominic is someone I definitely want to work with long-term. He’s one of the best people here.

Dominic (confessional): Me being gay shouldn’t change anything about how other people feel about me. I originally wasn’t going to tell anyone about it cause I didn’t want them to judge me without getting to know me. My fear was that I was going to get targeted and voted out because of people who aren’t exactly accepting of gay people. But my tribe has made me feel extremely comfortable and I felt like they should get to know that side of me.

Corby (confessional): I heard that Dom’s gay. Doesn’t change how much I respect the dude as a competitor. But I ain’t gonna be rushing to sleep next to him at night, I’ll tell ya that. *laughs*
--
Shantrell (confessional): My plan in the game is to sit back and observe the relationships that form. Who’s going off with who, and who’s talking to who. Biggest giveaway is how sleeps next to who. Being observant is going to make navigating the politics of his game a little easier. There isn’t anyone on the tribe that I necessarily dislike but I have less trust in Dom than I do other people. It’s like everywhere you look, Dom is with somebody trying to work them on to his side. He acts a little different with everybody and tries to manipulate them. It’s so obvious. It’s like he’s talking to me and he’s wearing a coat of changing colors, trying to convince everyone that he isn’t.
--
Day 7: Malevu
--
Matt (confessional): Well we’ve been trying to successfully catch fish ever since we got the fishing gear. Unfortunately, that day has not happened yet. But Red and I are so so ever hopeful that we’ll be able to get something.

Redmond and Matt paddle out to the ocean. Redmond goes under first.

Redmond (confessional): I’ve never really gone spearfishing before. I’ve never actually been fishing either. But I’m a strong swimmer and I wasn’t going to give up until I caught something. I didn’t even care if it was a small tadpole.

Redmond keeps exploring the reef.

Sirena (confessional): I’ve told Matt and Redmond before that they aren’t going to catch anything for a while. I hope I eat those words cause I am hungry.

Redmond comes up to the boat with a speared ray.

Matt: Oh shit, bro! You got a ray.

Redmond: Hell yeah, I caught a ray. They’re so slow, it pretty much put itself on the spear. *high fives Matt*

Redmond (confessional): Catching something was amazing. I went back down and caught two more rays, so our tribe got three rays for dinner tonight. It was amazing.

Sofia and Redmond start cooking the ray.

Jonathan: Great job, bro. Really great job.

Sirena: I can’t wait to get some protein.

Dania: We really needed this. It looks so good.

*tribe starts eating the rays*

Sofia: Definitely better than I expected.

Sirena: I feel energized now. I’m ready to win.

Chris: That’s the spirit! Woo!

Redmond (confessional): Catching those rays was a proud moment for me. Hopefully, I can fall into the provider role on Malevu and stick around based on that. What really made it a proud moment for me was thinking about what my father would say back home if he found out I got a stingray a week into the game. *starts to tear up* You know, I came out here for him. He’s been a fan of the game ever since the first season. And last year he got diagnosed with brain cancer and was given maybe two years to live. So now I’m here for him. And I know he’d just tell me “Red, I’m proud of you.” *puts hand in face*
--
The tribe begins to talk about family.

Sofia: I have two older brothers and a younger sister.

Chris: No kidding, same here.

Sofia: No way!

Chris: You’re from New York, right?

Sofia: New Jersey. I’m a Jersey girl.

Chris: I have some family in Jersey, so when I was young, we went to Wildwood almost every time we were there.

Sofia: Wildwood? Hell yeah! I love Wildwood. I go there some weekends with friends.

Matt: What’s Wildwood?

Chris: It’s a boardwalk in New Jersey. It’s really fun.

Sofia: Oh man, you already know if any of you guys are in Jersey, I’ll take ya to Wildwood.

Chris: I might have to take you up on that offer. I would love to go back there.

Sofia (confessional): Things can change so quickly in this game, I wasn’t very fond of Chris when we first started, but as I got to know him I realize that we have a lot of things in common and we actually get along pretty well.

Chris (confessional): I know that I’m in an alliance right now with Red, Dania, and Matt, but I’m open to new alliances too. I really get along with Sofia and I could see myself working with her to the end. I don’t know if I could see the same future with Matt or Dania.
--
Night 7: Yasawa
--
Elanina (confessional): It’s really easily to tell who is friends with who in this game. And there are two people who seem like there’s a little bit more than friendship going on.

*shots of Tanner and Allison laying next to each other in the shelter*

Elanina (confessional): Love is in the air at Yasawa. Such a beautiful song.

Tanner: I’m more of a Coke man myself.

Allison: I wouldn’t be caught dead drinking anything other than Dr. Pepper.

Tanner: Ooh. You might’ve just got me going. I really want some Dr. Pepper right now.

Allison: I’ll buy you some after the game if it’ll make you feel better.

Tanner: What’ll make me feel better is if you go and find me some Dr. Pepper on the island. *laughs*

*Allison punches Tanner jokingly*

Allison: How about you find me some? I mean, it’s obvious you’re trying to win my affections.

Tanner: *laughs*

Allison (confessional): There is absolutely nothing going on between Tanner and I. There’s only so many people on your tribe and only so much time you can spend with people you don’t like. Tanner and I have talked about our lives and we just get along. Plus, Tanner keeps saying how much he misses his wife back home. Okay, maybe I have a little crush, but it’s not mutual.

Tanner (confessional): Allie’s a great girl. I like her a lot in the game, we get along, and we help each other pass the time. But I got a wife back home. Love ya, Beth. I’ll be home soon. But not too soon.

Dominic (confessional): It’s kinda funny how Tanner and Allison pretend they don’t find each other attractive. They obviously do. Just how they interact with each other. Tanner’s marriage must not be that strong or Tanner is a very, very, very weak man.
-
Corby (confessional): I’m glad that I can connect with someone like Melanie. We’re both parents and she has more parenting experience than I do. I like to sit with her and just ask her about her life.

Corby: How old is your daughter?

Melanie: Well, I have one six-year old, and a two-year old.

Corby: Wow, what are their names?

Melanie: Adela and Victoria Rose.

Corby: Those are beautiful names, Mel. I hope I can meet them one day.

Melanie: What’s yours name?

Corby: Gunner. He’s my little fighter.

Melanie: Yeah, I can imagine how you must’ve felt this past year. My youngest daughter almost passed away in a bathtub. We had to rush her to the hospital and we barely got her back. The doctor said that even ten minutes later, she wouldn’t have made it.

Corby: Wow.

Melanie: It really makes you appreciate life. And appreciate being a parent.

Corby: Yeah, I know what you mean. I’m really glad there’s another parent on my tribe. You have no idea.

Melanie: Really? I am too.

Corby: These kids just wouldn’t understand life through our perspective. Not yet at least.

Melanie: Yeah.

Corby: Listen. I don’t know if you’ve made any agreements or deals with other people. But I want to protect you in this game.

Melanie: Protect me?

Corby: Take you with me. Work together. I really think we could do well as a team.

Melanie: Hell yeah. I’m on board. *shakes hands with Corby*

Corby: When I shake hands with you, you know my word is good.

Melanie (confessional): When Corby made that alliance with me, it just felt good. It felt really good to be apart of something.

Corby (confessional): I want Mel to be my Number two for a couple of reasons. We are both parents, she’s a fighter, I can just tell, and I respect the hell out of that woman. I want to take her as far as I possibly can in this game. That’s how I feel.
--
Day 8: Malevu
--
Jonathan gets up at the crack of dawn and holds up a finger to his mouth to quiet the camera crew, he then walks out of the camp and onto the beach.

Jonathan (whispers to camera): When the kids are away, Jonny’s gonna play.

*starts digging around bushes and by a large tree with holes in it*

Jonathan: You would think they would put the idol in a easier place to find than it is.

*Jonathan sticks his hand down a tree hole*

Jonathan: Wait, what’s this? *pulls up piece of paper*

Jonathan: Oh my god. No way. I found something.

Jonathan (confessional): This morning I was doing my idol hunt in the early morning before everyone got up, as I usually do, and today I found this piece of paper.

Jonathan: Okay, it’s an idol clue. I found a clue to the idol.

HIDDEN IMMUNITY IDOL CLUE #1
--------------------
Deep in a tree
Caught under a rock
Look for a colored sign
With an X marks the spot

Jonathan: Okay, what the hell, Jeff. You can’t just give me an idol. Bro. *folds up clue and places it in pocket* I’ll have to mess with that later.
--
*Chris walks up to tree mail*

*gets mail and walks back to camp*

Chris: Hey guys, we got tree mail! And it’s large!

Sirena: What’d do you mean?

Matt: Oh, Chris has some sort of padded thing.

Sofia: Oh, it’s a large bag. Do we fight the other tribe?

Sirena: Just read it. I’m excited.

*Chris opens note*

------
TREE MAIL
------
Use this bag to fight
And knock out your foe
Fail to stay on the platform
Or you could be the next one to go

Jonathan: Wow.
--
Day 8: Yasawa
--
------
TREE MAIL
------
Use this bag to fight
And knock out your foe
Fail to stay on the platform
Or you could be the next one to go

Corby: Oh, I’m excited. Let me have a go at that Chris dude. He’s big like me. I want to knock him on his feet.

Dominic (confessional): Our tribe hasn’t lost an immunity challenge yet, and today will not be the day that that changes. Immunity is ours today.
--
Day 8: Immunity Challenge
----
Jeff: Come on in, guys!

*Yasawa enters and stands on their mat*

*Malevu walks in*

Jeff: Yasawa, get your first look at the new Malevu tribe. Nixon, voted out at the last Tribal Council.

*Elanina nods*
*Allison and Brooke share a surprised look*

Jeff: Before we get to today’s challenge. Yasawa, I will take back immunity.

Shantrell: Nooo Jeffrey, let us keep it for another day or two.

Jeff: *snorts* You guys have to earn it.

*Jeff places the idol on the stand*

Jeff: Once again, immunity is back up for grabs. For today’s challenge, using large padded bags, you will attempt to knock over members of the other tribe into the water. Do so, and you score a point for your tribe. These will be one-on-one matches with people of the same sex, so it will be guys taking on the guys, and girls taking on the girls. Make sense?

Castaways: Yes.

Jeff: In addition to immunity, you are also playing for reward. *reveals blankets, pillows, hammock, two lanterns, and a large tarp* You guys are playing for comfort.

*castaways smile excitedly.

Jeff: Yasawa, we need equal numbers of men and women for this challenge, so you must sit out two women.

Allison: I’ll sit.

Melanie: I’ll sit.

Jeff: Allison and Melanie sitting out for Yasawa. Everyone else, you have a moment to strategize and then we’ll get started.

*Malevu celebrates*
-
Jeff: Malevu, congratulations, you guys have definitely earned immunity today. *hands idol to Jonathan* No Tribal Council for you guys tonight. Enjoy the night off.

*Malevu leaves*

Jeff: Yasawa, unfortunately, you will have a date with me at Tribal Council where one of you will be voted out tonight. You have the afternoon to think about it. Good luck.

*Yasawa exits*
----
Day 8: Yasawa
----
Jamar (confessional): I just couldn’t find the energy to knock Jonathan off on the last round, and now we have to go to Tribal Council. It weighs on my mind that people may see me as weak. So I just need to step up my game and really get a lot of work done.

*Jamar starts getting firewood*

Brooke (confessional): It’s really interesting seeing who thinks they are in trouble tonight. You can tell by who’s doing work, who’s immediately asking to have conversations with people. It’s really a microcosm of human behavior. No one wants to go home first from the tribe. It’s not gonna be an easy vote either.
-
Dominic and Elanina have a conversation by the waterwell.

Dominic: What do you want to do tonight?

Elanina: I honestly don’t know. I wouldn’t mind Jamar or Tanner. I don’t think we need them all that much.

Dominic: I was thinking why not just cut off the head of the snake and vote out Corby.

Elanina: We need Corby. He’s done a good job as the de facto leader.

Dominic: I’m thinking aways down the road, I think we should vote out Corby.

Elanina (confessional): It really surprised me to hear from Dominic that he’s thinking so far ahead in the future. Like dude, we just lost our first immunity challenge. You don’t even have a torch yet! Calm down. We’ll figure this out.

Elanina: I don’t mind voting out Melanie either. I think her and Corby are getting a little too close for comfort. I don’t want there to be another power duo on the tribe.

Dominic (confessional): Elanina has affectionately nicknamed us as a power duo in the game. And I feel that we are. I think we have enough influence to vote whoever we want off tonight.

Dominic: Let’s ask around and see what other people think.
--
Shantrell, Allison, and Brooke are on the beach.

Allison: Have you guys heard anything about the vote?

Shantrell: No, I was hoping you guys had some answers, cause I got nothing right now.

Brooke: I really don’t trust Dominic that much. That’s just my feeling. I get along great with him, he just seems like he’s playing way too hard right now.

Shantrell: I know! He’s trying to recruit everyone into some sort of alliance and I don’t trust it and I don’t like it. That’s for sure.

Allison: I don’t trust him but I don’t want to vote him out yet. We need to take out someone who definitely isn’t going to be a number for us. Dominic, as untrustworthy as he is, really thinks he’s with us.

Brooke: That’s true. I want to talk to Elanina. She has Dom wrapped around her finger, essentially.

Shantrell: I just don’t think Dominic is going to stick with us to the end. I’d rather burn this bridge now than have it fall on us later.

Allison: What’s the safe vote for us?

Brooke: One of the other guys. If we vote out Mel, Corby will just get mad at us and at that point, might as well avoid it and vote out Corby instead.

Shantrell: It kills me to say this, but what about Jamar?

Brooke: Noo. We can’t vote out Jamar. He’s great.

Shantrell: The dude is so out of it though.

Allison: You don’t think that’d be a vote for us?

Brooke: No, it would be. Jamar would vote for us for sure.

Shantrell: Every day he wants to be here less and less. I think it’s an option we should consider.

Allison: I’m down for anything at this point. As long as our group is safe.

*Elanina walks and sits down*

Elanina: We don’t want to be suspicious, what’s the vote?

Allison: We don’t know.

Shantrell: There isn’t a lot of viable options.

Elanina: Corby or Mel?

Shantrell: Maybe.

Brooke: It’s hard to discern what would be the right call for us right now.

Shantrell: I did bring up the idea of Jamar. He’s miserable right now.

Elanina: Maybe. It might have to be a crunch time decision.

Shantrell (confessional): It’s not super cut-and-dry on who to vote out. There are so many things to consider. Will this help mine and my friends’ games? Will this help me win? Is this the right decision? So many decisions and I don’t know where to turn.
--
Jamar walks up to Shantrell.

Jamar: Hey girl, what’s the scoop?

Shantrell: I want to get Dom out. But I don’t think we’re gonna get enough people on board for that.

Jamar: I’ll be a number for anything you want.

Shantrell: I know, lay down for a bit. You’re looking like hell, man.

Jamar: I know. I haven’t kicked this stomach bug yet. I was throwing up all last night.

Shantrell: Yeah, we heard you.
--
*Corby watches Jamar from afar*

Corby (confessional): I feel bad for the kid. He has no energy and no will to do anything else than sleep. My natural instinct when I see something suffering so bad is just to put it out of it’s misery. I might have to vote my man Jamar tonight. I don’t want to. I’d rather vote out someone like Brooke. She doesn’t bring a whole lot to the table and hasn’t really taken the time to get to know me.
-
Dominic walks up to Tanner and Elanina.

Dominic: Hey guys, what’s up?

Tanner: Nothing much.

Dominic: What are you guys thinking for the vote?

Tanner: It might be Jamar or Mel. That’s what I’ve been hearing.

Dominic: Same here.

Elanina: I’ve been hearing Corby.

Dominic: Man, do we have a pickle tonight. (confessional): I want to take control of this game sooner rather than later, but it seems like I have to wait to make a move against my real targets and work with what the tribe wants instead. Whatever gets me to tomorrow right?
--
*tribe starts to get stuff together*

*Shantrell whispers to Elanina and Elanina’s eyes go big*

Shantrell (confessional): This game is super tricky. Sometimes you need to make big moves, and sometimes you need to wait to strike. The catch is to what to do when. If your timing is off than everything falls apart like a house of cards you spend a year on.

Dominic (confessional): I am confident that I know who is going home tonight. I didn’t even pack my bags if I’m being honest. I’m sure I’m going to be here tomorrow.

Jamar (confessional): Shantrell reassured me that I am going to be here tomorrow. Just hearing that amongst the chaos of Tribal Council just calmed me down and made me feel a whole lot better. I’m excited for tonight.

Brooke (confessional): I really believe that what we are doing tonight will benefit the tribe immediately and for the better. I have no regrets.
--
Tribal Council: Day 8
--
*castaways enter*

Jeff: Welcome to Tribal Council. Behind each of you is a torch. Grab a torch and approach the flame, and get fire. Because in this game, fire represents your life. Once it is gone, so are you. And that will be the case for one of you tonight.

*castaways dip their torches and takes a seat*

Jeff: Well, I haven’t seen much of you guys. Tanner, how have the first couple days been?

Tanner: They’ve been great Jeff. We all get along well, we have food, good spirits, and great teamwork. We just love each other.

Jeff: And that’s the game. You lose a challenge, you come here, it doesn’t matter how much each of you love each other, someone is about to leave the game.

Tanner: I know! And that’s why the vote tonight is so hard. Because no matter how the needle drops, someone we all care about is gonna get burned.

Jeff: Open question, was there a clear leader from Day 1 in your tribe?

*everyone looks at Corby*

Jeff: Corby, everyone is looking at you.

Corby: Yeah, I couldn’t tell.

Jeff: How did you get in that leadership position?

Corby: I think everyone looked to me immediately, I’m the oldest guy here, I’m arguably the most fit. But we don’t really need a “leader” because I think we all contribute in different parts of the game.

Jeff: Dominic, how have the first few days been for you?

Dominic: They’ve been great, Jeff. This is my dream realized. I’ve always wanted to come to Tribal Council and cast a vote. It’s all kinda surreal right now.

Jeff: Brooke, what do you go off of for a vote like this?

Brooke: I think our entire tribe is in agreeance to keep the tribe strong. So cutting out the weak link in the chain is my strategy tonight.

Jeff: Elanina, hold true for you?

Elanina: Yes, Jeff. We’ve had some success in challenges prior to today, and the only way to get back into winning them is with a strong team.

Jeff: Obviously, many different things could count as the weakest member, Melanie, what are you thinking tonight?

Melanie: Same thing. Cutting the weak link out.

Jeff: Jamar, what’s going through your head right now?

Jamar: Excitement. Jeff, I’m excited tonight.

Jeff: Why is that? This is Tribal Council, the exact place you don’t want to be.

Jamar: Got a good feeling on what’s about to go down.

*Dominic raises his eyebrow*

Jeff: On that note, it is time to vote. Here is how it works. One at a time, you will head to our voting confessionals. You write down the name of the person you are voting out of your tribe in clear block letters, hold it up, and speak your peace. None of us can hear you. Shantrell, you’re up first.

Shantrell: This is not a vote to eliminate, but a vote to warn. Keep on your toes.

Melanie: (vote not shown) I’m sorry it had to come down to this. Just know all of us love you and respect you. Take care.

*folds vote and places it in urn*

*Elanina walks back to her seat*

Jeff: I’ll go tally the votes….
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Jeff: *returns with urn* Once the votes are read, the decision is final, the person voted out must leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I’ll read the votes….

Jeff: First vote…

Jamar

*Jamar sighs and stands up*
*Dominic looks relieved*
*Shantrell mouths “He’s on shaky ground” to Elanina*

Jeff: Jamar, that’s five, that’s enough, you need to bring me your torch.

Jamar: It’s alright, guys. No hard feelings, it’s just a game.

*Jamar brings his torch to Jeff*

Jeff: Jamar, the tribe has spoken. *snuffs torch* It’s time for you to go.

*Jamar starts to walks away and waves at the Yasawa tribe with a huge smile on his face*

Jeff: Well, you guys just voted off your first member. A lot of talk was said about keeping the tribe strong. Let’s see if you guys can walk the walk now. Grab your torches and head back to camp. Good night.

*castaways exit*
~
Jamar (exit confessional): Yeah, I’m a little disappointed I couldn’t go any further. But I understand, I’ve been sick and depleted of all energy so I didn’t have anything else to give. I was just dead weight and to move forward they needed me off. Now, where are the chicken and waffles?

VOTES:
Allison: Jamar
Brooke: Jamar
Corby: Jamar
Dominic: Jamar
Elanina: Jamar
Jamar: Dominic
Melanie: Jamar
Shantrell: Dominic
Tanner: Jamar
