Starring my EXTRA special guest judge of the week, TolisKalkas!
First of all, I want to note that this week was QUITE the moment in DLDR herstory! Of all 16 games played this week, the girls won... ALL of them! Excellent work everyone! But, decisions have to be made.
Diana and Evelynn... you're both SAFE! Now, for the judges' critiques.
AKALI
A pretty nice carry in game 1, but arguably got carried in game 2. Despite my bot lane being the most fed, she still did everything she needed to do to close out the game quickly, carry her own weight, and convince my judges that she earned her spot in the top this week. Good werk!
KATARINA
I mean, both games were fine. But not great. This week was just super close in general and I guess not being the driving force behind your teams wins at this point in the competition puts you behind!
LUX
Game 1 was fine and an easy team-wide early victory, and game 2 was a bit more of a slow-roller in which she managed to scale up with dark harvest and make game-winning picks. Unfortunately Tolis wasn't convinced that the first game was at all impressive, so step it up I guess?
MISS FORTUNE
Welcome to the game sweet cheeks! It took her 7 weeks to finally have her moment but damn she snapped! Both games she just got really fed and didn't let the enemy team breathe until she closed out the game with ease. The girls are shaking!
ORIANNA
Game 1 was unlucky, to be honest. She won and did what I and Tolis considered to be a good job, but because the enemy D2 LeBlanc was permanently roaming, Orianna punished this by outfarming her by about double and pushing down her empty mid lane to filth! The enemy team surrendered and all was good, but because Orianna lacked the kill participation, League and OP.GG weren't satisfied! Game 2 was a hard carry too, what a shame!
QUINN
Despite being forced into the ADC role instead of Mid for her game with Tolis, Quinn managed to remain consistent and oppressive! She really is just the queen of map pressure, can kite and position as a marksman, but has all the burst pressure of an assassin. She's a frontrunner, girls!
As indicated by the picture posted with this blog, Condragulations Miss Fortune, you are the winner of this week's challenge! And may I also congratulate you on your first bit of screen time all season!
Akali and Quinn, nicely done ladies! You're safe.
Lux, you're safe. Blame Tolis for even being in the bottom IMO xoxo
Which leaves us with Orianna and Katarina as our bottom 2. Despite how much I love and adore playing each of you, this decision was actually one of the easier ones for me. I'm saving the champion on whom I honestly feel more comfortable, and who has put in more werk climbing soloqueue throughout the years. Orianna, shantay you stay.
Katarina, after a season of a few disappointing lows, but more frequent and more impressive highs, you certainly proved your worth as an all star! Now, sashay away.
