I will say, most of you took the clues and hints and coaching that I gave you and ran with it, one of you was stubborn and did what ever you wanted (granted it kind of worked for you), and the other didn’t get a coaching session from me with their artist, so they kinda had to make due, but had an incredible artist to work with! 4 of you submitted your best songs this round with the 5th submitting their best song last round, but all 5 were amazing and each could’ve won this competition!
There can only be one winner, and this player learned my likes and dislikes quickly and worked within them. When their artist was beat, it was simply because the other songs were a smidge better. They maintained the best record throughout the season, with having 3 6th place finishes as their lowest, and in all honesty never came close of being a low placing act! This particular artist is one who I have enjoyed, but never really had been on my top 10 radar. And this player never even submitted a song from my favorite album of their artist!
The rest of you tied for 2nd, breaking the tie and chart positioning was based off of overall performance for your act! (this wouldn’t necessarily be how I ranked the final songs) There was one clear winner, and they won the competition & the rest of you will never know my actual ranking 🤭
Each of you should be extremely proud of what you accomplished with your artist, I know how you grow to connect with your artist, and you each did fantastic. I love every artist and you all showcased their best songs.

Let me just say that every song got me on some level! One song, made me cry. Another was close. All 5 songs were songs that I completely related to in some way. You all gave me the hardest choice here.

You’ve submitted songs that are good, but not ones I’ve personally connected with up until this point. I joked that you’re playing as one of my favorite artists, but you were on track to being eliminated, and then when you randomly submitted this song i choked on my words. This is my favorite Kelly Clarkson song, and one of my favorite songs of all time. The lyrics and how it relates to my divorce, how he always thought he could control the narrative- and i never cared. How he always thought he saved me or helped me out “piece by piece i found out my hero’s me” this song I had to listen to it twice. I was crying. I always do with this song.

Thomas Rhett- “Notice”
Now with this song, I connect with it, because I played this song for my ex husband back when we were “in love” still. I told him that i might not show it, but i notice the little things. And it takes me back to the good memories, I didn’t cry at this song. But it was an almost situation. Great song choice and Congrats on making finals.

Halsey- “3am”
This song is just so relatable. I’m up until 3am everynight. and I spend that time talking to people digitally rather than in person. I think with many of my mental health challenges, this song especially touches on a lot of my feelings and insecurities that i face. This was such an amazing choice! Congrats on finals!

Kehlani- “Can You Blame Me”
Kehlani, this song was soooo good, one of my favorites of the season! It’s just so damn relatable with my last relationship. How he made me feel like i was safe and yet it was so toxic. that dependency really comes through in this song, and when I heard this song that instantly came to my mind. Congrats on the finale!
MUNA, there was no way I could forget about you! You were the only artist to actually write anything this round! This song is so relatable as I am that kind of girl, well boy… but still. This song is about me! And the chorus where she sings “I could do this, i could do that- i’m the kind of girl who thinks i can” ugh this chorus is just so me. Excellent song! Congrats on the finale!

I have to be honest, this round wasn’t my favorite. While i did enjoy the songs, other rounds have had much better songs! Hopefully Round 11 will be better. One of my personal favorites is getting eliminated this round!
