X Factor Songs 2

Dec 6, 2008 by commonlyuncommon
Eoghan Quigg: Taking to the stage with a dancier version of ABBA's classic "Does Your Mother Know", Eoghan sang well although there were a few blunt notes and pitchy high notes. But for the high energy choreography, the vocal went well. The song was feel good, and both the set and choreography were performed well, and it looked great and served it's purpose as it made you want to jump up and dance. Dannii called it "cheesy" but the other three called it a good performance.
----
Diana Vickers: Diana's performance of "White Flag" was simple after the "Girlfriend" set. It was simply Diana and her voice, accompanied by two acoustic guitars. Her start to the song was amazing, gentle and emotional, and although she hit a blunt after the chorus, Diana saved her performance with her next high notes. Dannii commented on her strong night, Simon didn't like the song choice but said the last half was brilliant but said he loved her but he hated the song. Louis and Cheryl gave good comments on her performance.
----
Alexandra Burke:  Singing Toni Braxton's "Un-break My Heart", Alexandra sang the song in a key lower than the original. Her set was plain, just Alexandra and her voice. The drapes from a previous X Factor performance were back. Alexandra's voice was pitchy when she was trying to sound aggressive, however when she reached the chorus and hit those high notes, boy did she prove she could hit those notes. Although, her voice sounded throaty at the end. A brilliant performance from her nonetheless. Once again she cried. Louis and Dannii gave great comments. Simon said that he was worried after the first round but she had won her place back again with the second. Cheryl complimented her nonstop. Was said to be in a different league.
----
JLS: JLS were back singing "I'm Already There" by Lonestar. Aston took lead vocal. The harmony was much improved, and the song's vocal was brilliant. Aston hit the high note excellently, and the simple set only made the song better. It was emotional, and they pulled it off. For the first time on the night, their voices meshed brilliantly without pitchiness. Four great comments, and Simon predicted that they could win the show. Was said to be in a different league.
