X Factor Songs 1

Dec 6, 2008 by commonlyuncommon
Eoghan Quigg: Despite my reservations, the young Irishman proved his worth after eight weeks of mediocre performances, he finally settled himself with the punk rock genre. Performing Busted's "Year 3000", the sixteen year old from Dungiven has proved that his first song was a brilliant start to the show. With brilliant comments, his second song "Does Your Mother Know" will have to be even better to keep him in.
----
Diana Vickers: Jeez, this girl sure proved Louis Walsh wrong. With her choreographed performance, Diana sang Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend". She had a massive set, and her vocal (although not perfect) carried the song at an amazing standard. After four or five weeks of pitchy songs or intense pressure, Diana has learnt to enjoy and she has shown that in performance. She was also met with four brilliant comments, and her next song "White Flag" will have to perform just as well.
----
Alexandra Burke: The set and the choreography were amazing, and while I was worried the song would ruin her. Alexandra proved she can carry a note to disco music in Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music", although much like Leona she extended the notes and made them flat. Alexandra and Leona Lewis cannot carry disco themes. Alexandra will hopefully have done enough to get her through, but if she stays it will be her performance of "Un-break My Heart" will have saved her. Despite my reservations on her voice, Alexandra was met with four great comments.
----
JLS: Singing "Umbrella" JLS took to the stage, transforming the song into a ballad before transforming it into the remix. Although the dancier aspect was removed, the boys removed the dancier aspect of the song. As Aston once again took the lead with a flawless vocal, although their harmony was out of tune. However, they pulled it out of thew rut at the end. They recieved brilliant comments from the four judges also.

It will be a tight vote so you need to vote for favourites.
