i like diana, that is my opinion. you are more than welcome to dislike her if that is your opinion but you all need to stop mouthing off about her on my blogs. and by this i mean largely alex1991. we get it, alexandra is you're favourite. yes she's talented. but you cannot compare diana to her because diana is not her. diana may not be entirely original, with the likes of kate bush and the lead singer from the cranberries, but at the end of the day her voice is more unique than alexandra's and ruth's. they are typical diva's. i loved ruth but there's no point saying her voice was something it's not, she may have sung rock ballads but she was never a rocker. and also for those of you who say diana cannot pronunciate, listen to everyone of ruth's songs again. particularly "purple rain" and "always", the start of both songs is unintelligible. i am not saying that diana is the best out there, but the girl has talent. she's made it to the final four, and unless thousand's of people are tone deaf you have no right to insult her at every opportunity. alexandra can sing. jls can sing. eoghan can sing. so, what makes you think diana can't? is it because she's the only real threat to alexandra if they both make the finals? you cannot watch one video on youtube or read the press in the uk without reading something disparaging about diana. she is a seventeen year old girl who took the chance for her dream, and this is the thanks she gets? a constant onslaught of derorgatory and often rude terms thrown her way. it's unfair. you have every right to think what you want, but post it in any of my blogs in the future, and you're comment would be deleted. would you treat someone you knew like that if they were on x factor or american idol or something? no. so you shouldn't treat others that way ... just grow up, all of you. That's fair enough but if you're allowed to post praise for Diana saying she's the best, other people are allowed to share their opinions too.
If you post a blog, let people agree or disagree.
If you delete comments that disagree with your blog, but keep those that agree, you're just showing your own bias up.
Kate Bush, Tori Amos etc are two of my favourites, so when I heard Diana was similar I got excited.
But a combination of her diction, her attitude and her personality have made me dislike her.
Yes she can sing.. but I don't think she has the X factor at all... I just don't understand why the public love her so much?
To be honest, I think they got rid of all the best contestants early on.
If people posted constructive criticism it would be different. the only comments ever posted are about her as a person, or that she doesn't compare to alexandra. those comments i will delete. i agree whole heartedly with freedom of speech. if i praise her then of course people can disagree, but 'alexandra is better' is not a reason because alexandra is not 'better', alexandra is a different type of artist. you can't compare anyone to anyone else really.
liking or disliking someone is definitely an opinion.. it's not a fact, as a preference is something else.
I don't think Alexandra is "better" I just enjoy listening to her voice more.
My favourites were Laura, Austin and Ruth in that order, but they're all gone, so Alexandra is the one I'm backing now.
My least favourites from the start were Diana (her voice and attitude) and Eoghan (I find him bland) so I don't understand why one of those will win.
i'm not an alexandra hater. like yourself, i would prefer it if diana won. whereas you're backing alexandra. i enjoy listening to her also, but she's not as flawless as people claim she is. every contestant from start to finish has bad weeks, and everyone can say what they wish. but i think it's juvenile to insult someone else because they could possibly win over your favourite. if i had to choose a winner, i would choose diana and i vote diana. but it is obvious that diana will get a contract deal anyway, as she is the favoured contestant by simon. but i also think ruth lorenzo, laura white and alexandra burke will be in the charts with contracts also. just because i don't want alexandra to win doesn't mean i'm posting everywhere saying she can't sing. because she can, of course she can. she's just not my style. we have beyoncé and we have leona, we don't need another one. some of my friend's support her.
but for there too be people who hate her because of her hand, and because she doesn't always have perfect hair, is ridiculous. she is gorgeous, both the remaining girls are gorgeous. and in an earlier announcement, brian friedman said she would be dancing and nothing was met but bad comments. diana will never win the x factor, the press has seen to that but i am hopeful she will make the final. personally, i want eoghan to go this week. or jls.
in my opinion, diana and alexandra are the only two who definitely deserve a place in the final.

You're allowed to favour Diana, so I'm allowed to favour someone else. I'm not like "OMG DIANA DIE" I just would be mad if she won, because I find her annoying.

i do accept that others don't accept diana. some of my friend's don't like diana, but we don't argue about it. it's life, we move on. but i'm not going to say that "haters" of any concept aren't pests because they are. diana hasn't been perfect and there were times maybe she should've faced a showdown, but she must be doing something right as alexandra and diana are the only two to never face a bottom two-situation. i'll be honest, if diana goes tomorrow, i probably wont watch on or vote but in that case i'll want alexandra and cheryl to win. i don't hate any of the contestants, but (despite also being irish) eoghan should've been booted a long time ago. and jls have had two memorable performances. i remember all of diana's, and i only really remember two of alexandra's. they're all rather forgetable. my ideal final would've been diana, ruth and austin.
Yes but it seems you're the one who's not moving on by posting the blog, sorry. Nobody "hates" Diana, we just prefer others.
I agree that Ruth and Austin should be there, I don't understand the public... they seem to vote for people who there is "hype" around, rather than who they think is the best singer.
im allowed to show support for her without confrontation. if people want to support their acts they're free to start they're own blogs. if they want to insult diana, they can start they're own blogs. why should i stand down and just agree with it?
i accept that everyone likes other people and that's fine. i dislike all haters, it just so happens that there were some comments made about diana and i wrote this blog. it could've been about anything. but it was diana, and as this is my space, i can post a blog about whatever i want for whatever purpose i want ...
