When the majority of textbooks, and history in general, is focused on the Anglo-Saxon (White) colonisation of many countries around the world, we shouldn't place emphasis on the Caucasian people who helped out during slavery, because this is a dark chapter of history that should focus on the African American lives which were stolen from Africa and sold to the United States and other areas as slaves.
Yes their contributions were very important and should not be completely forgotten, but during that period of time African Americans faced devastatingly more scrutiny and hardships than Caucasian people, and their hardship should be at the forefront of that period

They should come to Brazil and see the part Brazilians played in the slave trade. They imported millions more slaves from more parts of Africa, in a 350+ year period, but it's only 'white people' who get shit, so?
SydneyWalsh All facets of slavery should be condemned, even by other POC. However, due to the majority of slaves being owned by Caucasians I think that is why they get most of the scrutiny from it. Not excusing those POC, but Caucasians weren't directly sent off as slaves.
