So 12 years ago today i became a vegetarian. This blog is probably gonna come off as like kinda silly cuz its rlly not that deep in retrospect but this has been like a very important thing to me in my life and i wanna note it down somewhere. So at the time i decided to stop eating meat it was during weird point in my life, i was 13 and my parents were recently divorced. They didnt handle it like adults either they were constantly tearing each other down to their faces, behind each others backs, and always when i was there to see it and/or dragging me into it. On top of that im the youngest in my family and my siblings who are both older had huge personality shifts very different from when we were kids. To be frank they became assholes after puberty and i wanted nothing to do with them, OR my parents for many reasons that dont even start or end in this divorce. So as u may be able to guess i felt pretty lonely in my early teens (this is the same year i found tengaged, obviously. hooray to that)

Anyway that had nothing to do with vegetarianism, but the reason why i mentioned it is because food is very big in my culture and family(as it is in many) and a big part of mine is like meat dishes. In my mentally ill child mind as a way to like distant myself emotionally from my entire family i changed my lifestyle, in more ways than one tbh, but this one was big because i suddenly had a bunch of excuses to not be with them for events/dinners/birthdays/ idk fucking thanksgiving. For context this is one of the only times we all got along and acted like a family but i was so over it by that point that i wanted to just eliminate that. Also in my head being vegeterian sounded really mature and i idolized the idea of being an adult and never speaking to them ever again. Fyi thats a spill because it taught me how to cook and prepare food for myself instead of being dependant on other ppl and/or a bunch of money!

Ok anyways again i dont wanna get too deep into my family resentment over the years, but point being is that im 25 now and i realize more than ever that lifestyle changes based on trauma is prob not the best way to live, and im someone who wants to experience new places and cultures and i cant do that if i limit the things i try!

THAT BEING SAID.. originally i was just going to make a small blog because i wanted to know what yall think i should eat to break my diet but then i started rambling. Preferably something light or like a white meat cuz.. honestly i tried breaking it a few weeks ago and wanted to throw up cuz i havent eaten meaty things in so long.

TL:DR : what should i eat to break it and also i love roughnightbro
