Give me topics for Cher-rants

10thJan 10, 2021 by cheritaisdelicious
I'll tag you and write my thoughts on your topic

ItsAustin - I don't personally smoke very often, I like the idea of it, but actually doing it usually makes my throat/chest hurt a bit. I haven't done it in years, but since it's been so long I'd probably do it again if I was hanging out with someone who had some. I've been intrigued about edibles though, I'd love to try gummies or something, but unfortunately it's not legal in my state. I mean I'm sure I could still get them somehow and I do know people with connections, but it's all a lot of work for a ~good girl~ like me. That said, I think it should be legal everywhere, because criminalization of marijuana is ridiculous.

lmaobrit2214 - So I've been on both sides of this, and it can definitely be exhausting. The key is trying to find balance. Let them both know that you like and respect them BOTH, and that you want them to know that you liking the other person is not meant to be offensive or disloyal to them. But at the same time, sometimes you may need to listen to them vent about the other. Sometimes people just need to let their feelings out, and listening is okay. I know I had this issue recently and whenever I mentioned the other person, my friend would just tune out anything I said and repeat I'M NOT TAKING SIDES over and over. But the way he did it always made me feel as if he had in fact taken a side, and it was not mine. So eventually he and I sat down and discussed it, and I told him that I accepted he still liked the other person, and that I was not trying to make him think poorly of them, but sometimes I just needed someone to listen to me. I hope that helps you a little bit.

CarolinaSteele - I feel like this one is tricky, because there are SO MANY different possible scenarios. I think a lot of it depends on what exactly the person did, when it occurred, how they dealt with it, did they show remorse, etc. Actions should have consequences, and letting people have free passes definitely can lead to problems and show them there is no need to take accountability. But at the same time, I think sometimes it can go too far. If you're digging years into the past, and it's a behavior the person does not exhibit anymore, and they show legitimate remorse for their past actions, then I feel like it's almost like you're trying to cancel them just for the sake of cancelling them (this example really only fits for things such as ignorant comments, or small crimes like shoplifting. If it comes to actual violence and stuff, that's completely different.) Then there are situations where it's an artist, and you may be able to separate their actions from their work. For example, I don't use Twitter, but I have heard JK Rowling has been a rather awful person on there with terrible views. I've heard many terrible things about her, which make me believe she probably is not a very good person. But at the same time, her books are so enjoyable. I loved them when I started reading the series as a teenager, and I still love the books now. I can enjoy the books while not condoning her actions, and I feel like if it gets to the point where people are shamed for enjoying work from artists with questionable views, that is a problem as well.

Jessie_  - I obviously like penis quite a bit. Unfortunately due to a pandemic I have not had contact one in person for a very very long time and that is t.ears. I think some men can be a bit obsessed with theirs, as a woman I have received unsolicited penis pictures on multiple occasions, and it's never really clear why men think surprise penis is a turn on to us girls. I think people get caught up on size just because of the idea of it, there's something brag-worthy about having a large penis, but a huge one isn't really necessary for pleasure. Average size is usually perfectly adequate, and if a man knows what he's doing it's lots of fun. Then of course, as people usually say, girth is more important than length, and while that isn't untrue, some of us do our kegels and keep things tight, so I mean, as long as it's not freakishly skinny you're good.

zachbbs - I feel like I don't actually know that much about Hepatitis. I know there are different types and they have letters. I think you can get it from sex, and also from needles and stuff. But then some of the other ones you can get other ways as well, so it's all around scary stuff. But I know there are vaccines, so that's good! Also, I know Anthony Kiedis (I used to be a massive RHCP fan. I still like them but haven't followed their newer stuff) got Hepatitis from a dirty needle while shooting heroin in the 90s, and he cured himself with some homeopathic remedies and other stuff, I don't know, it was all in his book, which I read a very long time ago, but found completely fascinating.

Allison - I feel like the majority of people who attend and participate in orgies aren't too concerned with whether or not they are called a slut, they likely own and embrace their sexuality and don't get hung up on labels. But I suppose there are different scenarios. Maybe you somehow stumbled upon the orgy and it was a one time thing! Maybe you had an orgy then were celibate for 10 years after! Need more information! But we all know slut is a compliment when it comes out of my mouth, so just embrace the slutdom and invite me to the next orgy, please.

joshgillespie - I'll be honest, I wouldn't want that kind of power. I like the freedom to goof around, I wouldn't want people constantly trying to get me to mediate and dragging me into every little thing that happens. But I do have some ideas for improvement. I don't have a lot of technical knowledge, but I feel like if the site is capable of detecting multi usage enough to effect the plussing, then it should have a way to detect and prevent people from joining the same games, even via VPN or whatever. I think to improve the site in general there should be a blog moderator to weed out the harmful trolls like when there are the horrible people spamming disgusting things. I also think it would be incredibly helpful because there could be master threads for common issues, so people could discuss the missing icons on there instead of 20 blogs a day WHY AM I A WHITE LEVEL!!! I think more people would play games with more incentives. Payouts need to be increased for games. And I think implementing more higher color levels would give people more incentive to keep playing, because there would still be things to acheive.

kingjames13 - Bro, the world is too vast of a topic, and also, too depressing. No need to get into that, eh. But omg North American House Hippos. So I had to google that because I wasn't sure what that was, and WHAT. WHAT. WHAT? IS THAT SOME THING IN CANADA? MAKING UP THAT THERE ARE TINY HIPPOS IN HOUSES? Idk why but it really freaked me out. Probably because I have an extreme fear of rodents, and idk, the idea of tiny unwanted creatures in your house just gave me that vibe and freaked me out. Also, it made me remember something a guy I was seeing showed me years ago, this video that like, if you groom your guinea pig and make it hairless, it kind of looks like a hippo? I think there must be some correlation between these two things, and I don't know, I am freaked out to be honest.

pinkiepie512 - I mean I like men, a lot. You know that, GraceMAN. I don't always get into the whole WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN stuff. I mean I don't really think of it consciously. People are people, no one fits entirely into a stereotypical box based on gender.

AmandaBynes - You are so funny. You went from this person I was loosely aligned with in a stars to like, my best friend and favorite person. I liked you the first time we played, until you randomly backstabbed me for the sole fact that you were convinced I was a threat just for being a woman. Then we had kind of an on and off casual friendship, I remember seeing you in frookies occasionally, seeing you on the blogs page a lot. Rolling my eyes at some of your troll blogs, giggling at a couple, falling for a few of your histrionics because I am such a kind person. Then the turning point obviously was the most recent stars I played, where we pledged complete loyalty to each other, and we came out of it so much stronger and have been an unbreakable duo since. I love your ridiculous snapchats, in bathrooms, in front of mirrors, showing off your tan lines, getting an ultrasound at your OB-GYN's office because you're pregnant with our twins, etc. You're usually the funniest person in the room, and half of it is even intentional! I love that even though I should know better, I still occasionally fall for your trolling. I love that you're such an airhead you think of me as smart. I love that in spite of all of the goofiness, I can also talk to you about serious things bothering me. Basically, you're amazing. Purr.

Absol - Okay wow. I love how you gave me multiple topics. I skipped over the first two because I feel like if I hate an album I likely won't listen to it in it's entirety, I'll just turn it off after not liking a couple songs. The second one is N/A, I've never played a video game in my life. Fake friends is a great topic for a Cher-rant though. There are so many different types of people to fall into this category, and it's really tricky, because you often don't realize someone is a fake friend until you are attached to them already, and by that point you get hurt. I've often had trouble with people who fall into that category. I've had so many, I've had friends who would start making other friends, and then decided their new friends were cooler, but they would still keep me around as a backup. My ex bff Keke always did things like that, she'd bail on me to go do something cooler, but if something came up and those plans changed, she'd expect me to still be sitting at home waiting for her to call to hang out. Like she made me feel so insignificant, and it was a mess. There are also the people who pretend to be friends when they want something, and then ditch you after they get what they want. The ones who reveal secrets, or make fun of you behind your back. The ones who compile your faults and save them all to explode on you at once, instead of talking about small things as they happen. So much toxicity, and not knowing who is fake until it's too late is always the worst. I may circle back to your other 2 topics later.

#druu - Look here, buddy. Is it not enough that you're funny, charming, and reasonably attractive and the entire site loves you? Do you really have to flaunt that you are smarter than all of us? Do I look like someone who knows wtf the industrial revolution is? I've heard the term before, but I am going to be honest, I couldn't tell you what exactly it was other than you know, changes in manufacturing or something, and it was revolutionary! Google says it happened from around 1760 to 1840, and despite popular belief, I was not yet born. Do you hear me, Dru? Everything you have heard about me being some ancient immortal being is a lie. Come back when you want stories about something I know about, like red hair dye or Father John Misty.

tbrown_47 - So my standby answer that I give if asked my favorite book on the spot is Post Office by Charles Bukowski. I haven't reread anything by him in years, but I definitely went through a big Bukowski phase in my early/mid 20s. He wrote a lot of poetry as well, but I like his novels best. Books that take place in the 50s and 60s always seem really fascinating to me, I like reading about that era a lot. He wrote several novels that are like...semi autobiographical, like he took real things that happened in his life, and wrote novels about his alter ego. Post Office is my favorite, the stories about working in the post office in that era, and the adventures and misadventures were really fascinating. I like the simplicity of his writing, his style of humorous cynicism, and how he's basically just this disgruntled man that basically hates everyone and everything.

Skyler1822 - Honestly I think the reason I spend so much time on here is because I like being part of a community. It's clearly not all good, there is far too much drama on here and people misbehaving left and right, always taking low roads that they don't need to and all of that, but I still love something about so many different types of people coming together because they are fans of these games. I love meeting different people from all over, I have friends from Canada, South American, Europe, Australia...it's pretty cool how many different people you can talk to, and I really love the blogs page especially, usually something entertaining going on there.

druu - Okay well this is much better. He's one of your favorites, right? I remember you asking me about him a long time ago when we were discussing music. I've actually not listened to him very often. Whenever I do come across a song of his and listen to it, I usually enjoy it, and then I like...literally forget he exists. There's this singer called Poppy, I'm not sure if you know her, I know her, she's like a pop singer, but she also does this like, satirical experimental performance art where she is basically like...a cross between a computer in a human body and some kind of cult victim, I used to watch her videos a lot. But anyway, when she was first starting out before all that stuff she did a cover of one of his songs, and it's pretty cute.

The_Kid - I feel like McDonalds get's a lot of heat, like it's basically a scapegoat for fast food as a whole, obesity, everything wrong with America, etc. I don't think it necessarily deserves all of that, I mean it's not worse than any of the other places. I worked at McDonald's for a few years, I liked working in the drive-thru. Specifically I liked being the one with the headset taking the orders. I'd love to try McDonalds in some other countries, I've heard they have all kinds of different cool things on the menu. There are some stuff in India that sound amazing. I know there is McPoutine in Canada, which sounds lolz. I haven't been to McDonald's since before quarantine, but I used to go there before work for breakfast sometimes. I love the egg mcmuffin with no meat on it, with a hashbrown and a coffee, sometimes vanilla iced coffee as a treat instead. I'm waiting for them to get on things and start serving Impossible or Beyond Beef, that would be awesome.

Midiaw - I think it must be completely awful to live somewhere and feel as if you aren't allowed to be yourself freely. For all of America's many many flaws, as least homosexuality is widely accepted here. I think it's absolutely disgusting some of the things that happen in other places, how people live in fear (and I know even living here people aren't completely free of it either) simply for being themselves, loving how they want to.

ManniBoi - What is with all the heavy topics. I'm afraid to admit that as ignorant as it may sound, this is one I am rather uninformed about, so I don't actually know enough about the situation to have an opinion.

turkeylover - Girl, I don't watch that! I remember seeing part of one or two seasons, but I don't remember which ones. I did a quick google search, so Yoanna did win and you're asking if I agree that she did. Well the google search showed me her pics, and they do look kind of nice and model-y, so I am sure she was decent. BUT. One of the pics showed her and another girl, and it said Yoanna vs April, so I guessed maybe that was her competition. So I quickly googled April, and I think I like her better. So maybe April should have won. What do you think?
